She consistently kept us on track, let us know what needed to be done when and worked with us and our vendors to come up with beautiful designs that all worked together. We would repeatedly say throughout the process that we were very happy we'd hired her when we were discussing our progress. The day of coordinator we worked with, Mao, was also fantastic. She was invaluable throughout the process and on top of everything in the lead up to the wedding. On the day of the wedding, I was a bit shocked by how smoothly everything went. I expected things to come up and there to be stress or complications that came up, but apart from some rain prior to the ceremony there really wasn't. My wife and I got to thoroughly enjoy our day with our friends and family. When the rain cleared right as people were arriving for our outdoor ceremony, Hallea and Mao were furiously getting seats dried off just in time for the ceremony. It really seemed like they were on top of everything on the day. They really worked hard for us and we couldn't be happier with the results. It was an amazing day.

Erica is personable and incredibly talented. We learned about her business at Weddings in Woodinville, and we chose her for her romantic, rustic style. She created a stunning cascading bouquet for me. All the bridesmaid had a smaller version of mine in a round arrangement. The guys had flower boutonnières. And my God Mom had a corsage. We also did 40 bouquets for centerpieces and other tables. What was nice was I showed her my dream bouquet and I liked about it. That entailed blush and cream colored flowers, natural greenery and lots of soft texture. Something sweet and romantic. I was so bummed when I learned peonies weren't in season, but we ended up using garden roses, which looked similar and was a lot cheaper. Not to mention, we saved a ton of money overall by sticking with seasonal flowers. We had no idea what flowers she was going to pick nor did we know how everything would turn out like. Really we were putting all our faith in her. Let me tell you, her work blew us away! Everything tied together nicely...I'm still dreaming about how beautiful they were... Plus, we have scored big time with the centerpieces. Instead of pay $75 per bouquet (quotes from other places), we went out and bought our own mason jars at Goodwill (25 cents). That cut the price down to $22 per bouquet, $53 in savings. A total of $2,120! Erica is thee flower queen. I hired Xina Events to help me with a winter wonderland party in my home in January…read more I'd recently had a kitchen fire, so it was extra challenging to get the food out. Christina very patiently baked my appetizers in my convection toaster oven and worked around the fact my refrigerator was in the dining room not in the kitchen where it should be. She whipped up two very tasty pitchers of bourbon drinks and checked on my guests frequently to see if they wanted more beverages or snacks. Christina was incredibly organized, had great ideas for party flow and ways to make food and beverage presentation prettier. She was punctual, brought lovely serving dishes I could borrow for the party, helped with last minute furniture arranging and decor, and delighted my guests with her hostess skills. It was so nice to have an extra set of hands to take coats, greet guests, and refill trays on the table. I didn't need a full caterer, just another hostess. And how awesome was it to have help with cleanup at the end of the evening? I will definitely hire Xina Events again for my parties this year!

I felt that the venue overall was quite good - it has lots of space, nice decorations (some leftover from holiday related events). The sound quality for our DJ was also good, and we were able to have all our guests comfortably seated for the ceremony - then up and dancing after dinner. Here are my pros and cons to consider: Pros: - inviting venue with a city, alley feel - lots of space for 100-200 people - pretty rooftop available for nighttime wedding photo shoot upon request - close to Pioneer Square / downtown - lots of solid hotels / accommodations - reasonable price as compared to other downtown venues Cons: - lack of organization - staff doesn't respond to emails about price quotes or payment - price quotes constantly change - unprofessional business practices - two months after wedding - still waiting on final bill / invoice - food was decent but not worth the price Tips - If you fall in love with the space / location, try to save double whatever you're quoted at. The venue will likely have all kinds of reasons for price increases (some of them probably relevant). Also, ask for all invoices printed in writing prior to the event if possible. I'm an uptight person when it comes to spending, so the cons listed really bothered me. If you're more laid back when it comes to spending, you might have a better experience. All in all, I'm still very happy with our wedding. And, most importantly, I'm thrilled to marry my wife who loved everything about our special night. My review is meant to be totally honest, and it doesn't mean that I wasn't happy with how things went. My hope is that the venue figures out how to improve some of their processes. Catherine was very patient and understanding of our experience level and first dance wishes. Within seconds of listening to our first dance song choice, she understood the style and vibe that we were going for. Catherine was graceful in delivering her honest feedback on how we could improve (and we had several laughs along the way). We also enjoyed interacting with her husband, FJ, who would also lean in to help should we need assistance with certain moves/lifts. At the start she had an extensive spreadsheet already set up. We started with an initial consultation where she asked me many questions about what we wanted for our wedding. She was great because I didn't know all the answers in the beginning and she left those items open for us to discuss at a later time. Lyndsey then set up weekly meetings with me to check in on progress. These were the most helpful to me because it kept everything on track and it broke down the event planning into easy, manageable steps. She would send me task lists weekly. She was also an excellent resource for finding vendors in the area. She found an excellent, cost-effective videographer for the wedding that worked out well. Lyndsey was very flexible. I could give her tasks to do or I would take tasks that I really wanted to do on my own. I think one of the best things is that because Lyndsey is so organized and flexible with changes it allowed me to focus on the creative part of planning the wedding, which is what I really wanted to do. She then made sure to set the timeline and keep things moving along. Perhaps the best part of my experience with Lyndsey was the days before and the day of the wedding. She arrived a couple of days before the wedding and helped to settle details, which allowed me to spend time with my family and friends. The day of the wedding was the best. Lyndsey enlisted the help of her husband and they took care of everything! They took care of paying everyone who needed to be paid. They made sure things stayed on schedule. As with any event, the best plans can sometimes not turn out, Lyndsey made it happen. For example, I learned weeks after the wedding that there was some miscommunication with the caterer about the time the event ended, even though I had clearly told her. I never knew about it the day of the event. Lyndsey took care of everything. I spent the day of our wedding so happy and so in the moment. I enjoyed every minute of that day. There is a funny story from our wedding. The best man, the DJ, and the priest were so impressed with how well organized everything was that they made comments during their homily, the best man's toast, and before one of our dances. That is a big compliment to Lyndsey and all her hard work to make the day go so well and be so memorable for my husband and I. We loved our wedding day!
