First bowling outing here out west and have to say Spin Alley is on the smaller side of bowling alleys I've seen. Not necessarily a bad thing, as it makes seem more neighborhood-like. A busy Saturday afternoon with friends we got a lane for a couple hours which flew by, so perhaps next time we'll buy by the game rather than time because our party of four played one and half games, I thought for sure we'd play 2 to 3 games. Perhaps some of it was our fault for talking/catching up and drinking but still. The computer systems here are very nice - easy to enter names, edit and is very brightly lit with messages throughout including reminder of how much time you have. In addition to the lanes, they have games (pinball and arcade) and a billiard area with two tables. What is nice is it connects to the Vault 177 bar & restaurant and isn't literally within the alley which has advantages and disadvantages. I kind of like it though. It's different and you aren't distracted by the smell of hotdogs and fries while bowling. Upon arrival it was quite busy - expected on a Saturday afternoon I suppose. I counted about 2 maybe 3 birthday parties going. Maybe 2 desk workers and kitchen staff bring out pizza and sodas constantly really show how slammed they were but all throughout the staff were nice and helpful. So, Spin Alley was a good time and would certainly go back to bowl and have fun. About $100 for 2 hours which seems to be about the going rate on a weekend right now at most alleys. read more

Spin Alley was our go-to bowling alley growing up. The lights and music were consistently on point and not so loud that we could not hear each other. I came for a variety of occasions including birthday parties/celebrations and church outings. Bowling shoes were available for rental and food available for purchase. There were a few arcade/parlour games in addition to the bowling lanes. Bowling lanes could be set up with or without bumpers in the gutters. A bowling ball conveyor belt returned the ball by the tables at the end of the lanes. The tables had the chairs attached to the table with a bar, meaning they could pull out and swivel, but could not be carried off. Bowling balls could be picked out from their racks between the tables at the end of each lane and the walkway above. read more

Here for a school Halloween party, we were warmly greeted, appropriately treated, and easily found our way around and through the space for our bowling lane/time. Staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming. The space is large and clean and made for an enjoyable event and experience. Pizza and Caesar Salad was plentiful and tasty. Fountain beverages kept coming, too. Ample parking - enough for an entire area dedicated to Trunk-or-Treating, too! read more

From the outside, this seems like a quaint & small alley, but the inside feels a bit larger (perhaps due to the higher spacious ceiling) than it would have you believe. Retaining some old school late-80's to 90's design cues and color tones, Spin feels like it's holding on to its charm pretty well. I'm also partly biased to that because I grew up bowling in that era of pastel fun colors and common exposed design elements like geometric beams/trusses. Good decent facility. The lanes themselves aren't terrible but not great either. They had just enough oil on them to give me some decent length and shots for my hook ball. All around the ball return and approach felt clean and not dirty or sticky. The few mellow weekend days & times I've been apparently have been w/o lane mechanics so if you get that weird pin action or shot, just deal with it. And the lady up front working the slow mornings was friendly. She can't do lane mechanic stuff per above. Not bad for a neighborhood alley. Support your local alleys! NW Seattle is far for me just to bowl but nice to head out on occasion for fun & exploring. read more

My friends and I used to go to Spin Alley in the early 2000's. Had so much fun and the pizza was great. I moved back to Seattle in August 2022. Turned 55 this year and planned a bowling party.....at Spin Alley!! Love the renovations, and Cosmic bowl, good food, and had a great birthday with old and new dear friends. Pretty good for a neighborhood alley during a pandemic! We had a good time and reserved a lane online. I grew up going here and they've retained some of their 80/90s aesthetic and still haven't changed the bathroom doors that fly open and shut lol. Their (new?) online system isn't super intuitive but served it's purpose, I called in to ask when their non peak hours were as there's a bit of a discount associated. Turns out they're anytime Sunday-Wednesday so I'd recommend going then. I use the Entertainment coupon app and they've had a coupon posted the last three years or so, but when I presented the coupon, the gal at the counter said they've been trying to take it down for some time and wouldn't honor it. This was a let down but nothing seems to be able to be done about it. Further, their shoes do seem to run large so maybe get a half size down or so read more

We were 1 adult and 2 kids for bowling. We didn't made any reservations and went on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm. We got a lane right away. Paid game with shoes $99. It's pricey. We couldn't finish the entire game which was disappointing. I'm not sure but I think you only have one hour to finish the game. We didn't know. We were not told anything either. We ordered food and took the time to eat during the game. Kids were disappointed. Service is just ok. Parking and restrooms onsite. Food was ok (burgers, fries, Mac and cheese). This place is not kid friendly. There was only one kid friendly bowling ball, lower weight. read more

We hosted a birthday party here last winter. Out of about 12 parties I've thrown my kids at local event centers or bowling alleys, this was the absolute worst. The party room was full of stuff when we arrived, that I ended up having to clean out. The front desk girl was a complete asshole. Not only to myself, but also to every single guest who I had check in and ask for shoes. Everyone would walk over to us and ask what was wrong with the girl at the front desk! Pizza came out late and for some reason just trying to place my order for food was a struggle with this woman. I lodged a complaint with who I believe was the general manager of this alley. At the time he seemed super understanding, promised to reprimand the front desk girl and also issued me a credit to come back and bowl with my kids. To make up for our poor experience. Except when I came back to use the credit, the same wretch of a girl was working the desk! She remembered me, and must have known I had lodged the complaint...because the service we received on this day was EXTRA bad. Also somehow cost over $90 for 4 little kids to bowl for an hour. I'm sure that was just to eat up my credit and ensure I'd still owe after. This year we threw a party at Kenmore Lanes, it was 1000x better, our guests comments on it too. "Oh haha remember that shitty bowling alley from last year?!" Not only did you lose my families business, but that of all the people we had attend here. read more

A group of us reserved two lanes for a cosmic bowling bday celebration. The online reservation process was straightforward. The prices automatically update depending on the time you choose (nonpeak, peak, cosmic). I called the bowling alley for clarification on their prices bc prices weren't consistent online, and turns out they were a bit outdated. It's nice that the alley is connected to Vault 177 for food/drinks! We ate in the restaurant before our bowling time, then purchased drinks from Vault while we bowled. We were somewhat taken aback when we were asked to bring the bday cake back outside, unless we wanted to pay an additional $15 (like a corkage fee??). We didn't see the sign indicating no outside food, so that's our bad. The cake was in a secure, closed container and sitting on a chair, so we didn't expect it to be an issue. We ended up enjoying the cake at one of the tables out front after we finished our bowling games. read more

What a fun place to spend a few hours. Cheap entertainment and way more fun then the movies where ya have to stay quiet and don't move. Also the new restaurant is very nice with good service as well as awesome selections on food and craft beer. I give it two thumbs up and a big toe. read more

Two stars for the reason of not being able to bring in our coffees. My family came in with a gaggle if kids and the manager pointed to the sign of no outside drinks and told us to finish them outside cause they have their own drinks to sell. True but do they have an espresso machine? No. Do they have dairy free milk? No. We made the drinks at home for our allergen sensitivities and we had to take the kids outside and wait in the cold with us while we tried to drink them really quick. The baby was crying and if it wasn't for the children really wanting to bowl we would have left because we were so turned off and didn't feel accommodated at all. We spend 40 dollars on bowling for a half hour of play, that's worth it to me to let two chicks with 5 kids come play with their homemade coffee. Thank you. read more

Food is normal bowling alley food, service is bowling alley service, anyone who has bowled from Kenmore lanes to Sunset Lanes would know that local bowling alleys have a certain service level, smell, atmosphere... and that's what you get in Spin Alley as well. read more

Passive aggressive service and was never refunded my reservation down payment. I came to bowl at Spin Alley a few weeks ago with some friends. Prior to getting our lanes at the counter, I made an online reservation for three lanes to guarantee that we would get at least three lanes next to each other. I paid $15 at the time of reservation and was told that this cost would go towards my payment in person (it never did). We didn't get the three specific lanes I had reserved online, but we were happy to be next to one another. The man was kind enough to ask another group to relocate lanes so that we could have four lanes together. We did not receive the $15 reduction in cost, despite mentioning that I had made an online reservation at the beginning of the transaction. Maybe a week or so after my visit, I called Spin Alley and informed them of this mistake. I was promised that I would reimbursed and that the problem would be resolved the next day. I gave them my name, card information, and everything. I just checked my credit card statement today and saw that the problem was never rectified, so I am here to share my experience. Also, the man who helped us was frankly off putting and seemingly annoyed at our presence. We were a fairly large and slightly disorganized group, but I don't think this warrants an exasperated attitude, especially to a paying customer. I also was treated like a burden when I asked to try on a different size shoe. I am a size 9 in women's, but the shoe I received were huge on me. After waiting a few minutes to ask for a different pair, I was met with an unsympathetic and irritated attitude. I asked to try a size 7 because my friend got that size and they looked like they'd fit me better. They asked me what my shoe size was and I said "9 (because that's my shoe size), but I would like to try a different size". They told me that I had 9s but they didn't understand that these shoes were clown sized on me. I tried to explain that I wanted to try a different size, but we had to go back and forth for a bit before I ended up getting a size 7. Although they squished my toes a little bit, I decided to not to ask again as I was too anxious and intimidated to go back and ask for a third shoe to try on. I love this little neighborhood bowling alley! I've been here three times now and I always leave with a smile on my face. Is it a family friendly place full of kids and teens? Yes. Can you order beer to your Lane? Yes. Is the pizza any good? Def yes! The only precaution is if you purchase a Groupon make sure to note that it is only valid from 10pm-midnight during the cosmic bowling on the weekends and you should get in line by 9:40 to ensure you get your full 2 hours. They close promptly at midnight so if you arrive with a reservation at 10, you will be on your lane by 10:20 or so - and finding the bowling balls that have all but been spoken for will take another 5-10 minutes. That being said you will likely start bowling by 10:30. If you order a pizza and beer at 10:30pm it will arrive by 11:15 because guess what? You're behind everyone else who already ordered ahead of you! Soooo, make a reservation, get there early, and order your food and drink as soon as possible! read more

Decent! I love that the place still looks very 80's. The bowling was decently priced. Equipment was decent. The one thing I wasn't super sure of is why there was a tip line on the receipt when paying for the bowling. There was little to no customer service involved with my transaction. Handing off shoes and vaguely waving at where our lane was is all that occurred. That being said, it's close to the crib and I will for sure be back! read more

This is a great place for kids! The first time I went here was for a birthday party and everyone had a fantastic time. My kid likes to bowl and even though I'm not very good, I'm all for family fun. The last time we went, it was 2 adults and my kid. One game, 3 pairs of shoe rentals later = $28.00. The cost was $3 per game and $4 per shoe rental. I love that the shoes cost more than the game. A bit on the steep side, if you ask me, for a weekday when nothing else was going on besides a league. The staff is very nice, they have a kitchen available to cook food and staff will come and check to see if you need anything. The food is okay but nothing great. They have vending machines and video games to take the remainder of your quarters and kids seem to love them. The parking has always been plentiful while I am there. The facility has always been clean. It's clear that people care about this place and take excellent care of it. TIP: A portion of the bowling alley is also a post office. Sweet! read more

To be fair I've never used their bowling lanes and don't see myself ever doing so due to the shoddy customer service and crappy attitude of the people who run this place; I've just dealt with them when shipping off mail, unfortunately. There are 2 people in particular, in whom I've dealt with, who run the USPS register: one of them is really incompetent and ditsy and you have to watch 'em like a hawk to ensure they don't mess up, while the other is a diva who's always moody or outright rude no matter how respectfully you behave or how much you try to follow their little "rules". I was told once that they couldn't take a delivery confirmation slip unless the part that I keep has the full address on it? What?! And when pushed on the issue the cashier says "OK, I'll take it but I'M RIGHT!" No lady the customer is right and your whole crew could learn a thing or two about treating customers better! To get this much beef from cashiers when all you're doing is trying to mail something out?! Are you serious?! I get better treatment at the post office and we all know dealing with gov. employees is never very fun! read more

I took a group of seven year olds here for a birthday party. They had a great time. This alley is the only one I've been to that offers toddler-sized bowling shoes and bowling balls as light as four pounds. Also, they offer a reduced rate immediately after school - $2 per game for bowling and $2 for shoes. The service was fine; I have no complaints. For the record, I didn't try any food nor did I use the postal station. This review is strictly for the bowling alley. read more
