I did lots of research and received 8 bids before deciding to hire Decorative Concrete Concepts to epoxy my garage floor and polish my enclosed patio at my West Los Angeles home. I'm so very glad that I chose this company versus the others. The pricing was similar with all the bids, however Daniel Mora (business owner) was a cut above the competition. Daniel said he did the grinding, polishing and epoxy work himself alongside his crew, and this was definitely true. Daniel was onsite working the entire time. This was not the case with the other companies I spoke with. Daniel has a keen attention to detail and impressive knowledge base of his trade. I would even say he's an artist and worked miracles with the cement of my enclosed patio. He made old boring cement look like polished stone. For my 1950's garage Daniel transformed it into a modern looking multi-purpose space. The original garage cement was stained, cracked and in poor condition. After wanting to resurface my ugly old garage floors for ELEVEN years, I finally bit the bullet and hired Daniel. If I had known that the process would be so easy and the result so good, I would have never lived so long with an embarrassingly dirty and crumbly floor that was difficult to keep clean. The concrete was in bad shape with oil and some damage since it was original from 1979. Daniel and his crew spent at least ten hours the first day making the floor very smooth, and then the second day they finished with the clear coat. At first I thought the price seemed too high because I didn't realize all the work that goes into the job. But after I saw everything they did, I realized that it wasn't too high at all. The owner/operator, Daniel, was very easy to work with and reliable. He installed epoxy garage flooring and had to remove the existing asphalt tile first. Only took 2 days from demo to completion. The quote and project completion date were right on target. Daniel communicated the entire process in advance and there we no surprises. The process is messy, but everything was nice and clean at the conclusion. The only thing in hindsight, I wish I had given more thought to was the prepping of the stem walls (curb). Although all cracks and holes are filled in on the cement floor, the stem walls only receive the epoxy and cracks are not filled in. In my case I had many divots. But other than that, it's a beautiful floor and I enjoy it and my garage more every day. read more
