We hired Shape for a full bathroom remodel and the finished space looks fantastic. The overall finishes came out really nicely, and they were very reasonable with us on cost, which I appreciated. Remodels always have a lot of moving parts, and this one was no exception. Challenging elements like an in-wall tank and a claw foot tub meant a few details needed a second pass along the way, but most importantly, anything that needed adjusting got addressed. It helped for me stay on top of it with project manager to make sure subtractors knew what they had to do - and the quality of the subcontractors was great. In the end, we're very happy with the bathroom and would use them again for the right project. We interviewed 3 contractors. Shape was not the lowest BUT Ben was such a delight that we chose them. We had a soaking tub previously that was installed poorly. They removed that and turned it into a shower only. Communication was great, timely and efficient. We ask a lot of questions and I'm sure we were a challenge as our previous remodel was done horribly with a horrible contractor. Ben seemed patient with us & understanding. Quality work! ​I recently completed a bathroom conversion from half bath to a shower bath with Omer Shape Remodeling. It is a craftsman home and while not a huge project, it was tricky and detailed. Overall I'm very excited about the results, it turned out beautiful, I think also Omer, Ben and the team did a great job overall and handled challenging situations with thoughtfulness and care. I'm giving them 4 stars and not 5 because despite overall very positive experience I can't ignore a few issues that happened. ​The Good Stuff ​Quick Start: The initial phase was excellent. They secured the permit very fast and got the work started immediately. ​Quality Craftsmanship: The tile work was absolutely gorgeous and came out beautifully. They also handled the final details well, adding some really nice finishing touches. ​Fixes Made: They deserve credit for fixing the mistakes I brought up. They moved a wall to correct the shower size (it was framed at 24 inches instead of the agreed-upon 30), and they straightened out the initial off-center plumbing. ​Thoughtful Moments: I felt they really cared at times, like when they carefully installed my heated towel rack. ​The Hiccups ​Attention to Detail: I had to be the one to flag the two major issues (the undersized shower and the misaligned plumbing). ​Communication Confusion: Communication was inconsistent. Sometimes it felt like there were too many people in the loop, other times I didn't get a response for days. ​ ​Overall: I'm happy because I was pretty picky, and they delivered a high-quality, beautiful result. We had an insidious Leak in a massive stone resin shower pan on the second floor. We looked for months testing and retesting without success. Omer came over under the pretense of a remodel, which he definitely had all the answers for. However, he was able to find the problem, and we were able to go back to the manufacturer for pan repair. He provided a rough estimate for free, and when I paid for the initial fee, I got a very detailed estimate and computer rendering of what my backyard was going to look like. After shopping out 5 different contractors for our backyard paver installation, we went with Ben and his crew at Shape. We couldn't be happier. Ben was prompt in his communication, courteous and professional, and did fantastic work at the end of the day. His team showed up early and worked late. They completed a fairly large job in two days. They didn't cut any corners - dug down 6", laid substrate, machine-tamped it, laid polymeric sand, cut the pavers with expert precision, leveled the surface for optimal drainage, installed a concrete belt around the exterior for strength, and cleaned up, not leaving a trace behind. We're using the new surface as a basketball court for our four children and after two months of heavy use, it's held up beautifully without a single flaw. read more
