I've always loved Parkway Vets. I've used them for @ 20 years with both dogs and cats. I've seen…read moremany different vets and they all are super nice, knowledgable and caring. They don't pressure you to make any particular decision in regards to medical treatment which I really appreciate. Recently I had an over the top positive experience with Dr. Harman and the team. My dog was diagnosed with cancer @ 1 year ago. Over the course of that time, Dr. Harman was so kind and helpful. Always explaining options and checking in on me and my dog. We had monthly appointments for a while so I got to know the office staff too and everyone was great. Unfortunately, my pup succumbed to his cancer at the beginning of this month. The good part was the experience I had at Parkway. On the day that it became obvious it was time to say good-bye, Dr. Harman made herself available to meet us. Everyone was so kind and the experience was so supportive. They gave my daughter and I the time we needed with our pup. On top of it, they don't charge for putting an animal to sleep. So kind! Since then, they've sent a condolence card and also a card saying they planted a tree in my pups name. Amazingly thoughtful. And, they gave us paw prints in plaster and prints of his snout and feet. All free of charge. I was already a convert to Parkway Vets, but after this experience, I'm there forever. Thanks to everyone for making this hard experience so much better.

They are caring and thoughtful, and they help keep our pups healthy and happy. They are also no-frills, meaning our wallets are happy too! For example, one of our pups breaks his du claw all the time. Our vet in DC would charge $150 to clip it and bandage it. The team at WR Animal Hospital simply clips his nails and charges ~$10. I love how pragmatic they are. I just read an article in the Boston Globe about how hard it is to be a Vet and thought I'd commend this fantastic team for the great work they do to support our beloved furry family members! Update: I just read some other reviews from mostly new pet owners and wanted to say- you will always scrutinize every little detail about your first vet. My husband and I still make inside jokes about "DK" the aforementioned $150 du claw vet. Yes, Drs. Hirsch and Morris doesn't have electronic health records, a website, and a fancy waiting room... guess what: your pet doesn't care and you shouldn't either. They will take excellent care of your fur babies and won't overcharge you, so get over yourself! Or maybe go to a fancy, digitized Vet for the first few years and transition to a place like this when you realize what matters!
