Will be interested to see if they delete this: Was taken for quite a ride with this vet. Spent over $1,300 for a consult and spay just for them to be closed for 2 days in a row with less than a 24 hour notice. Waited over 30 minutes at the initial consult appointment. Day of the spay appointment, I drop my cat off at 8:00 AM and was not even given a phone call with an update. Tried to call them for an update at 1:45: PHONES OFF!!!!! Called at 2:00 PM to find out the my cat has BEEN SITTING IN A KENNEL AND STILL MOT SPAYED! She was not spayed until 3:00 in the afternoon with the excuse that "it's busy" but they'll put her under and give her something to come back up. AN 8lb CAT?! She's not a science project. She was in a kennel for more time than she was in recovery which was a little less THAN 2 HOURS! Arrived at 5:30 for the pick up and Waited over 15 minutes in an empty lobby until someone decided to step out from the back. Brought my cat home with oral gabapentin and she could not tolerate it. Was advised by a TECH to continue giving oral gabapentin when my cat was clearly adversed to it and told me to call back if she was still having problems. Tried to call back and they were closed from 12:00 on Friday until that Monday. Not even ONE doctor on staff? Closure announcement made LESS THAN 24 hours in advanced AND made through their GOOGLE ACCOUNT? Not even an email or automated phone call to inform patients? Sketchy business, sketchy service and I will NEVER go back. I will be letting everyone I know to steer clear of this vet unless they want to spend a grand for lousy service. read more

I found it confusing why Dr. Henry did not clearly explain the necessity of 4 dental extractions after the X-rays and before Tiny Trixie cleaning as Vets does and told me to start saving money and why she dismissed Mariposa's hip issue during our initial appointment. Dr. Temple identified the issue during an examination.as she appeared competent and caring. This Saturday I spoke with Dr. Henry and began discussing Dr. Temple's absence and the cancellation policies, which I found confusing. I felt insulted and belittled, Dr. Henry addressed me, and I did not understand why she assumed I wanted information about Dr. Temple's situation. When given the opportunity to speak, I also reiterated that I was never informed about payment policies, as I usually received texts or emails to confirm appointments. Dr. Henry agreed to the refund this coming Tuesday. I am disappointed with how she handled the situation and her communication style, especially since I appreciate the small clinic and find Dr. Temple to be caring and competent in her treatment of my three dogs. read more

Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Facility is impeccably clean. Dr. Henry and Dr. Temple really care about your pets and take the time to get to know them as much as they can during the appointment. Had taken a new kitten here for vaccines and neuter and both Dr. Henry and Dr. Temple were super sweet with him. Our other cat was in need of a regular vet and so we took her to Dr. Henry to address seizures that have been happening with her. Again, amazing care and no unnecessary tests run - just what was actually needed. So happy to have found them! Parking is also super easy which is nice. read more

I had a confirmed appointment for 9:30 AM today. When I arrived, I was told it had been cancelled because I didn't reply to a confirmation text. At no point was I informed that failing to respond would result in cancellation. No call, no follow-up, nothing. When I explained that I had made time specifically for this appointment and asked if my dog could still be seen, the receptionist responded with a condescending tone and a dismissive, "Sorry, this is our policy." No effort to accommodate or even empathize with the situation. Now I'm left scrambling to find another vet. I understand having policies, but this approach lacks basic professionalism and respect for people's time. A little courtesy and clearer communication would've made a big difference. read more

My dog has been seen here several times and I feel she receives good, thorough care. Recently her typical vetrinarian couldn't see her so we saw the other one, Dr Henry. She was wonderful. I love a vet that gets down on the floor just to say hello. They recommended a course of action, ran the proposed invoice by me, and I left feeling well taken care of. It might be a little pricey but we have pet insurance so I always go with the recommended plan. The only drawback is that it always takes a long time. We have been happy with the medical care our dog has received over the past 3+ years at this practice, but some of their billing practices are pretty challenging. We too are experiencing what another reviewer recently posted, with this practice taking non-refundable deposits for appointments. They required an $80 deposit to give my dog an appointment 10 days out for a possible ear infection. While I don't have a problem with putting a deposit down for an appointment, and I understand I will lose it if I'm a no-show or don't give enough notice to cancel, when I asked about the cancellation policy in the event that my dog ends up having to go to the ER in the meantime, I was told that no matter how much notice we give, the deposit is non-refundable. read more

My vet is Dr.Henry who is so caring about the cats. She does well to make sure that the cat is calm and gives all of the details about what she is doing and why. She gave me recommendations about super cat food and other treatments that can help cats with the fur and teeth. i have noticed a difference in my cat's coat over the weeks. The techs there are as kind as she is. We are lucky in that we have to travel only ten minutes to get there, but I would still travel. She is, also, the vet dentist and takes x-rays of the teeth. Her prices are reasonable too. I look forward to going there. read more

My husband took our 22 year old mini poodle for his check up and to establish as new patient. It was very successful visit with renewal of prescription and to discuss our dog's needs at his age. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. They followed up with beautiful handwritten card from all the staff when we lost our poodle recently. My review is mixed. The facility was clean and quiet and my anxious dog was very relaxed thanks to Randall the vet tech, who was wonderful. I have no issues with the care that my pet received. I scheduled a sedation appointment for a month later, and placed a $92 deposit. Due to a change in my schedule I called a week in advance to reschedule the appointment. I was told that my initial deposit would be kept by them and I would have to put down a new $92 deposit. I said that didn't seem fair since I was rescheduling not cancelling. The receptionist checked with management and confirmed that that was their policy. I informed the receptionist that I would no longer be scheduling appointments with them. I have never had any business or doctor keep my deposit when I've rescheduled a week in advance. read more

Great new vet! I feel lucky to have driven by their "accepting new patients sign" before they get booked up! Dr. Kelly and her vet tech were very gentle and thorough in examining my senior cat. Dr. Henry and her office are amazing. I was really impressed with how quick they got me in and how warm and friendly the staff were. Dr. Henry was really attentive to my dog (not to mention her ability to explain why everything is happening) and their "fear free" mentality led to one of the best visits I've been to. In my thirty plus years dealing with veterinary service, I have never encountered any as good as Metro Vet. My very first introduction was when I first called and all of the receptionists I spoke to were extremely, knowledgeable and friendly. It was because of their kindness is what made me want to visit this particular veterinarian clinic, when others did not want to see me when I had an extreme emergency, because I did not have a prior history with them, and Metro Vet did not care about history, as much as they were concerned about my cat and delivering much needed medical attention and calming me down. I found their location very convenient, extremely clean, welcoming and had parking available, which is an added benefit. The front desk staff were all so great and are just super. Upon entering the location, there was no terrible smell that I have encountered in other clinics and the place was so immaculately clean, very comfortable and attractive, with even outside area to be able to sit at. When we got to meet Dr. Kelly (Temple), she was TOO good to be real. NEVER, had we met a more caring, loving Vet who has such human kindness and knowledge. She has fantastic bedside manners with the animals. What is extremely wonderful about DR. Kelly is that she not only describes patiently, what is going on with pet but treats the animal as though it was her own pet. She really takes the time to explain to the owner and gives options and what she thinks what would be the best one at the time. Her follow up was superb and caring to the point that she actually took the time out of her busy schedule to call at home to give prognosis and how progress was coming along. We drove forty minutes out to this clinic despite other ones nearby because it had such positive reviews and we are so glad we did. Our cat is incredibly anxious with traveling and requires some extra patience during vet visits. We had a poor experience with our previous vet because of this so we were incredibly nervous about finding a better fit. I wish we had found this place sooner! The whole team was so kind and patient with our cat and made both he and I feel so comfortable. It was clear throughout the appointment their priority was what was best for the animal, not whatever got us in and out fastest. I could not have been happier with the care we received! I had a great experience here! I recently adopted two kitties and it was our first vet visit. I had no problem finding parking on the street right in front of the office, but there's apparently also a parking lot in back. I was first of all struck by the interior design of the place, which is fresh, clean, and modern, and intentional. The other thing that impressed me was that I was in the room the whole time when my cats were being examined, which really helped them (and me) feel more relaxed. The vet tech was super nice and helpful and the vet was also very knowledgeable and reassuring. I thought the prices were reasonable as well. Definitely recommend! read more
