We are new to Boston and looking for new Veterinary Doctor came across the Yelp reviews which were excellent. My husband took our 22 year old mini poodle for his check up and to establish as new patient. It was very successful visit with renewal of prescription and to discuss our dog's needs at his age. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. They followed up with beautiful handwritten card from all the staff when we lost our poodle recently. We decided to use this veterinary clinic for our Bichon Frese because they truly care about your pets.

I could not be any more happy with the whole process. Dr. Samantha and her assistant were excellent.

From the phonecall to walking in, getting updates, friendly staff, knowledgeable doctors, discussion about care and finances. Dr. Gilbert was wonderful, the front desk staff, erin and Kayla I believe, and a handful of nurses I didn't get the name of, all our interactions positive! We will be using Angell Waltham for future needs! Thank you for your kindness with our baby

I will NEVER adopt from the MSPAC again. I adopted a frenchie from Nevins Farm a year ago. They told me that her salary gland was leaking into a pouch on her neck but that she was fine. That if it turns hard it will need surgery. But assured me it was not a "real" problem. Now its hard. Causing discomfort. Affecting her eating. Current vet can't do Sialadenectomy surgery because to close to juggler and judging by his shaking I think he has Parkinsons. Other vet wants deposit of over $7300 just to schedule Sialadenectomy and price to increase during surgery. Called MSPC Angell in JP to ask if they could help and do Sialadenectomy for less since their doctor at Nevins Farm caused the issue pulling teeth before her adoption. (Problem is not on her intake form but is on adoption forms so injury happened w them.) I was told no. They need to $265 for evaluate to see if she needs Sialadenectomy even though 2 other vets said she does. Surgery will be well over $6500. Told me I am to pay full price but they accept financing or I can put it on a card because its so expensive. The woman literally laughed at me. Audibly laughed at me. This poor dog will probably be put down because pet insurance wont cover it. (pre- existing condition). Her current vet can't do it. Can't find a vet who actually cares. MSPCA won't help even though they caused it. And I dont have thousands to pay for what she needs. Heartbroken. My poor girl.

She was throwing up, gasping for air, losing control of her bowels, and her eyes appeared slightly bulged. I was terrified and had no idea what to do. I called 311, searched for nearby emergency vets, and came across Veg ER for Pets. When I called, I explained my cat's condition, and they immediately urged me to bring her in. I arrived around 2:00 a.m., and the staff greeted me right away and quickly began triaging my cat, Gia. Unfortunately, Gia was extremely ill, and her chances of survival were very slim. I ultimately made the heartbreaking decision to let her go peacefully. I want to give a huge acknowledgment to the Veg ER team for their compassion during one of the hardest moments of my life. Dr. Ciona and the nursing team Rachel, Geo, Kasey, Sophia, and Tracey worked together with such care and empathy. They made sure both Gia and I were as comfortable as possible, and they gave me the time I needed to be with her before saying goodbye. Thank you all again for your kindness, support, and compassion during such a painful time. It meant more than you know. Cheryl R.

Initially we thought the bird was dead, but it wasn't. However, it was very lethargic. We tried to provide it some heat and thought it might be a good idea to bring it to Boston commons. On our way there, we stumbled upon VEG ER for pets which was open 24 hours and had images of birds and other animals displaying on their TV (it can be care to find vets that care for avians). They let us in, we explained the situation, and they gave us two fair options - let the vet check it out and if they determine there is little hope for recovery, ethically euthanize it, or, if it does show signs of recovery after 30 min - 1 hr, they'd bring it to Boston Commons. We didn't have time to stick around for the final decision, but I do hope it did recover. The staff there was really friendly, thanked us for being good Samaritans, and had us fill out a form. They also did offer us complimentary snacks and beverages. I was satisfied with my unexpected visit here.

I got referred to another place in Chatlestown for something else, because their relationship with the people who had been doing onsite had fallen apart. That one cost me over $1000 too,for something I was told would cost around $250. When I came in for the last few visits, nobody ever seemed to know why I was there. There seemed not to be communication or professionalism. Their prices were exorbitant, too! I really regret not having switched to my current vet sooner.
