I have to comment on their takeout, because I '"always" eat in. I was about to have surgery in the hospital, so my spouse brought me take out from here. It was amazingly delicious, I normally think of takeout as a poor substitute. After I left the hospital, I was still convalescing, and my brother and sister-in-law had sent a door dash gift certificate, so we continued to order take-out. We love spicy food, so tried ordering it "Thai Hot" as they told us to do, rather than "American hot". And indeed, that's how it came, beautifully spicy! We used up the gift by ordering from Dee Kitchen multiple times, and every time it was perfect. I've been back to eat in once since then, and they said they realized it was "us" by the fact we ordered it Thai hot and also they were our favorite dishes. Although I reviewed Dee Kitchen in November 2022, it's time to update how this business is faring since then. I am still impressed. They continue to provide great food at a good price. I tried them again in July of 2025 and had their Beef Salad with the Green Curry vegetable dish. Both were excellent. I got them spicy and they actually believed me when I said I like Thai hot. It was wonderful tasting. It's a fantastic place if you like Thai food. They are very good at spicing the foods at a level the customer requests. The food comes out hot and on time, unless it's one of those days where everyone wants to dine there. Then there might be a wait. But for good food I'm willing to wait and Dee Kitchen has good food. read more

This was a great find! Our food was very good. The pad Thai was excellent with loads of beef. The protein options for the pad Thai were chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, and tofu. We also had the fresh spring rolls with shrimp, calamari, and fried vegetable spring rolls. All were very good. Service was fast and she checked on us a couple of times. This is one of our favorite spots in IF. Their yellow curry and rare steak pho is our top picks. We love their fresh rolls with their peanut sauce and my kids all devour their satay chicken and wontons. Any time I have to decide where we're eating this is the place! I pre-ordered food at 10:30am through Grub hub before they opened as I needed food at its destination by 11:30am, and I was sweating it because they open at 11 knowing they might not see my order till then. I showed up at 11 to make sure they got my order, but they had not seen it yet. Luckily, I was able to get them to confirm my order and within 15 minutes I was on my way out. Being a life-long 'local' and Thai restaurant mainstay, it is somewhat surprising I had not been here prior to today's visit. I was drawn in by a $20 gift certificate, and will definitely be back! Excellent service, decent Vietnamese food, and all served up in a very clean takeout restaurant. I had the thin sliced Pho with meatballs (sliced sausage chunks), and the Thai spring roll appetizer. The food was ok. It was way overpriced for the portions we got. The pho was big though and tasted pretty good. A little heavy on the cinnamon flavor. Pad Thai was just ok. The bad was my husband ordered the crying tiger because the photo showed a big plate of meat and it came and was maybe a 4oz piece of meat and not much else. For $17 that is not great and he was still hungry. Got a boba tea that was mostly ice. Also, they brought each thing out separately so we had to wait a long time until everyone got their order. I was really nervous to try this place because Asian food around here is a bit of a mixed bag, but DEE Kitchen is SOOOO GOOD. Everything on the menu is very fairly priced. I got a massive bowl of pho for just 12$ and it was amazing. The broth was the perfect amount of sweet and savory, and very flavorful before I even added the additional herbs. Everything we tried we loved. The pad Thai had a strong peanut flavor and they are true to the spice scale they offer. We ordered a spice level of 3 and it was the perfect amount of heat. All the staff was so attentive and so kind. I felt very comfortable dining there and will 10000% be back. If you're visiting in the winter months and get cold easily, I'd recommend bringing your jacket inside. The interior is a little small and when we went there was a lot of people coming in and out of the restaurant due to pickup orders, so it was cold inside. I was in Idaho Falls for a family reunion of sorts. I called ahead and made a reservation for 20 for dinner. I chose a Thai place, because some of us are gluten free, some vegetarian, and one vegan. They were amazing! There was only one small problem that was quickly sorted, so no real problem. The food was amazing, the service outstanding. Service- yes. Atmosphere- decent. Food- meh. I've eaten here a couple of times and neither time was I very impressed. This time I couldn't taste the lemongrass in the tom kha (coconut and lemongrass soup). The chicken in the tom kha was overcooked, dry, and a couple pieces even tasted a little old. Finally, the tofu in my veggie entree was fried too long before made soggy, so was the worst of both worlds. Only thing giving them a 3 and not a 1 was the nice servers and that the sauce in the entree and the tom kha base (after adding more lemongrass) was actually pretty good. I was craving Thai food and my husband agreed to go grab me something. When he arrived, he realized that this "Thai" restaurant doesn't even have Mussaman curry. Can you really call yourself a Thai place if you don't serve this very popular curry dish?? Disappointed, but also still starving, I asked him to just get me the Pineapple Fried Rice instead. Can't go wrong there, right? Wrong. The shrimp had the most disgusting flavor I have ever tasted. After making the hubs try, he concluded it tasted like freezer burn. Combination rice had very little protein, rice, & veges, but instead had huge chunks of onion, so much onion, so much onion, all onion. Salad was smaller than shown & beef was chewey. Dee Kitchen serves the best Thai/Vietnamese food in The Idaho Falls area. Pad Thai is the standard dish for comparing Thai restaurants and Pho is the metric for Vietnamese restaurants. I would give the Pad Thai an 8.3 out of 10 and the Pho a 7.9 out of 10 compared to other restaurants I've visited across the US and parts of Asia. The taste and spice level here have always been consistent when we order, regardless of whether we dine in or take out. The staff are very polite and accommodating when it comes to ordering for kids. The dining area and restrooms have always been clean when we visit. They've added plastic partitions since the pandemic started and I've seen how thorough they clean between patrons. Overall I would have to say that this is a respectable establishment that makes great food. Give it a try and review it for yourself! read more
