We were looking a for a thai place to eat around the area and finally found this one. The bathroom is pretty small and right next to the eating area but had its once entrance so it was fine. We asked the staff about the spice level and they said it was all based on American spice so if you're looking for spice just get the highest level. The staff were really nice they brought us some chili and jalapeños to eat with our food (probably after seeing us fein for some spice). We started off with the Laab Gai and Tom Yum Soup. Both scarfed down in seconds. Do wish the soup had a little more mushroom or something in it though. All the dishes were great and were good portions. We ended up taking most of the dishes home for breakfast the following day. The Thai Fried Rice with Shrimp and Duck Noodle Soup were a little on the plainer side but still good. The Pad Woon Sen is a lot, it comes with noodles and rice, was surprised when I got it. The sauce it came was not spicy but the dish itself already was flavorful so didn't use it much. The Pad Gar Pow was a little similar but a little more saucy. The Massaman Curry was probably my favorite. This was so good especially with rice. If anything I would recommend this dish and the Pad Woon Sen. This place was great, the hard cider they had was also great. Overall recommend if you're in the area and looking for some good Thai food with good sized portions. read more

I honestly did not expect Asian food to be good in Jacksonhole, WY but I'm happy to say that Thai Plate proved me wrong! My friends and I started off with some Thai Iced Teas which were solid! We then ordered the following: Pad Kee Mao w/crispy duck Spicy Fried Rice w/chicken Tom Kha Soup w/shrimp Pad See Ew w/beef Green curry w/chicken Honestly, everything was delicious but the ones that really stood out were the pad kee mao w/crispy duck and the tom kha soup w/chicken. The crispy duck was fantastic- juicy, tender, flavorful, and freshly fried. The noodles and seasoning/sauce in the pad kee mao were also good. As for the tom kha soup, the broth was very flavorful from the lemongrass, lime, galangal, etc. And the coconut milk added a nice creaminess to the soup. Not to mention, there was so much chicken, veggies, and mushrooms in the soup! We were tired and cold from the hike and we wanted some hot soup, and so we ordered this large tom yum hotpot and the most boring-looking pot of soup came out, could barely feed 6, mostly just broth, and it tasted so bland. Very good, filling lunch today. I would usually prefer nearby Annie's but they are closed Wednesdays. Most dishes are available as a lunch portion, adding a small egg roll which serves as a fine appetizer. I went for Masssaman curry with chicken, as mild as naturally made. It was lacking a little depth, but the flavors were fine. The chicken was basically white breast meat thrown in at the end. The menu mentions a leg, so that may be how it is served at dinner. I bet that would be superior! Nice to see duck on the menu, though the red duck curry with pineapple and grapes disappeared when they moved out of their original underground location. About a week into our family Yellowston/Grand Teton trip, we were craving some Asian food. We had driven by here and also my mom realized this was the Thai place her friend and her had been to before last time they were in Jackson. We got some Tom Yum, Tom Kha Gai (one of my fav soups), Green Curry, and Pad Kee Mao. I enjoyed the two soups, they were loaded with veggies and meats and the flavor was on point. The green curry flavor was good, but a little watery. It was still great with rice. The Pad Kee Mao was pretty typical, not the best I've had, but not bad either. The staff was very friendly, service was great, and the atmosphere was homey. The price was a little on the higher end, but it is Jackson after all so not unexpected. Parking was out front and very easy too. I'd still come back the next time I'm in Jackson. read more

I love Thai plate I usually get something to go and eat it at work. It is also a nice place to sit down with friends and family. Always a great experience here. The family that runs it is really sharp and on the ball with great service. My all time favorite meal is the chicken pad Thai. It's one of the best I've had. Rounding down from a certain 3.5 stars. Group of 5 and we got two fried rices, a red curry, a masaman curry and my green curry. Everyone really liked their meals although only the curry eaters finished theirs. I preferred my green over the red and the massaman was apparently better than the red though the red was good too. You're able to request 0-5 spice with 2 being normal. I think we got a couple of 1's and 2's but nothing was too spicy. Issues we had were that the massaman came out cold and no one came back to the table to ask us how things were. We had to flag someone down just to get it warmed up. The chicken in one of the fried rice dishes was also cold but my friend didn't say anti hint at the time. Also, service wasn't great. Only reason our water was refilled was because we flagged someone down about the cold dish. My food was good, though not spectacular. I'd come back if I really wanted Thai food again but I'd get the same thing to avoid the troubles others had. read more

I was here recently here for lunch with a party of 5 others. Thai Plate offers an all-day menu, so there are no lunch specials. We ordered the Tom Yum Kai soup in a hot pot, Cashew Nut Chicken, Massaman Curry, and the Pad See Ew with vegetables. All the entrees were delicious. I particularly liked the Massaman Curry. Be prepared for very large portions. Three of us were unable to finish our entrees and had enough leftover for another meal and half! The prices are very reasonable considering its Jackson, Wyoming. There outdoor seating, which has more character than indoors. However, it was raining quite heavily on the day we ate here. NOTE: They pre-added tip to our final bill. Amazing Thai spot that's worth the price. My travel mates declared that the food was better than, dare we say it?, a handful of Thai restaurants in Thai Town, Los Angeles. Perfectly spiced (level 2) and very generous with proteins. Pad Thai - Not dry, not too sweet, just perfect. This mainstay dish is worth getting if you want something classic and familiar. The portions is sizable. Spring Rolls - This appetizer comes with 6 small pieces. The dipping sauce is a creamy peanut sauce with coconut milk. It was so satisfying. Duck Noodle Soup 16 - This perfectly balanced bowl is both rich and subtle. Garlic lovers will jump for joy as bits can be found flavoring the broth adding to its complexity. The protein was super tender and moist. Often, duck is dry, but not here. Noodles were also done just right and every bite delightful. Panang Curry - We were able to substitute the salmon with beef. They were extremely generous with the protein and we were so thrilled. Pad Kee Mao (16) - When we ordered this dish, it came as a flat noodle. The gravy was delicious and the spice level was perfect at 2. Red Curry (16) - Level 2 had a hard kick, we loved it. They give so much rice, but even more curry. I was about to order more rice, but decided to just drink the curry as a soup until it was gone. This was a pretty disappointing meal that we had in Jackson, WY for Father's Day. There was a wait of about 45 minutes around the 5:00 hour already so we put our names down and came back. The menu is pretty limited in terms of Thai dishes as there were just a select number of curry dishes, rice, and noodles. However you can find your normal Thai dishes like Thai fried rice dishes, Phad Thai, Phad See Ew, and Phad Kee Mao, and curries like Massaman curry and Penang curry. We ordered the spring rolls to start off with (which were ehh). Our three dishes that we shared were Phad See Ew, the Massaman Curry, and the Pineapple fried rice. This was probably one of the worst Phad See Ew dishes I've ever had. The broccoli seemed old and the noodles tasted more sweet than savory in soy sauce. That was my least favorite dish. The Massaman curry was okay as it came with three big pieces of chicken drumstick. The Pineapple fried rice was okay, you can tell the pineapple definitely came from a can. Overall, the good thing about this place was the portion sizes as they were generous but the food here was pretty blah and I wouldn't come back here. We made it to Jackson WY on our vacation. The VRBO where we stated suggested Teton Thai but they had moved and the name had changed to Thai Plate. After we asked someone in a shop they told us how to get there. The staff was very welcoming. We got there on a weekday at the end of the summer season so it wasn't very busy at 5:00 pm. After our meal people started piling in so we were glad we went a little early. We were very hungry after driving all day and ordered appetizers. Our friends got egg rolls and my guy and I got orange chicken. They were both very good. For dinner you could pick your spice level from 0-5. Our friends got spicy fried rice with shrimp and Pad Kee Mao with beef. They both said theirs was very good. My guy got shrimp pad Thai and I got chicken pad Thai with a medium spice level. The flavors were very good and the spice level just right for us. The portions were generous and we all enjoyed our meals. Decided to retreat to an early dinner in Jackson as we couldn't handle the Teton heat any longer. We were one of the first customers of the day and asked for a patio seat. Our order: pad thai with chicken, ginger beef, thai iced tea and coke. We didn't specify our spice levels and asked for the spice tray instead. Yum!!! is all I have to say about Thai Plate. The ginger flavour came through strong in every bite, and the beef was cooked just right - juicy and tender. For me, the original spice level in the pad thai was good enough - didn't overpower the tamarind, and still had a good kick. The noodles were soft and chewy, with sauce coated all over. The thai iced tea was a little too sweet for me but it got better with melted ice. Not sure if it was extra syrup or too much condensed milk. The portions were incredibly filling - I walked out happily bloated for the rest of the day. It took a little bit of problem solving with Google Maps to figure out where this gem is nestled in. The white cardboard sign that read "Thai Food" right outside the alley was helpful indeed, but I would suggest putting another one on the main streets. Service was quick, attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend getting a patio seat as you can enjoy soft breezes, flowers and live music with your meal. I would most definitely dine here again if I revisit Jackson! read more
