I don't think I've ever trusted a business owner as much as I trust Robert. He replaced my windshield in Deep Ellum in May, 2011, then repaired a massive chip just weeks later. Then today I made the drive to Royse City for two new chips. Robert determined one chip to be too small to need repair, but he smoothed it out and repaired the other for a very nominal fee. They have mobile units that serve DFW, but I wanted to see the new location and reconnect with Robert, so for me it was well worth the 40 minute drive each way, knowing that this is a business I could trust. read more

I contacted Deep Ellum Auto Glass regarding repairing my windshield: it is not cracked, but the windshield is not sealed properly. They informed me that this would be no problem, and that they could attempt to repair the seal for a lower amount, but bring a spare windshield just in case mine broke while they were attempting repair. I liked the sound of this plan, so I set up an appointment for a Saturday about two weeks in the future. A few days before my appointment, I called to confirm, as I had made the appointment weeks in advance. They confirmed that I was on the schedule. Fast forward to Saturday, nobody shows so I call the office... no answer. I called Monday... no answer. Unfortunately I have never heard back from them, and therefor they have lost a sale. I got a chip in the windshield riding on these lovely Dallas highways... needed to get it done asap or I'd have a serious crack. I found these guys on Yelp, but the directions were wrong! I have no idea why it was mapping that way. I got lost downtown first, called and had to turn around. I used Google and it took me there. It took all of like 2 min for him to repair the windshield and I was done. It was cheaper then other places I called and they were cool. The chip is gauranteed, so money comes off the price of a new windshiled of it happens and I use them. read more

My car got broken into on a Sunday evening and the entire passenger side window was smashed in. Called these guys Monday and they told me to give them an hour to get a piece of glass. I arrived a little early and they immediately pulled my car in and started working on it. I was in and out in 30 minutes for a very reasonable price. They even vacuumed all the extra glass out of the seat cracks and floorboard. I had temporarily given up after slicing my hands in a few places. In a little bit of a shady area but you can hang out in the garage while they fix things. Two thumbs up from me. read more

Great, no-frills type of business. I had to get my windshield replaced due to a stupid rock cracking my windshield. Deep Ellum Auto Glass was able to get me in 1 hour after my call. They told me they would pick up my windshield and I would be in and out for $170 (4-door sedan) in 45 minutes. It's a small simple shop, there's really limited parking, so just pull in (right before the light). They will take care of you, everyone was decently friendly and they got me in and out of there. They do offer service at whatever location you choose but I think it is cheaper if you drive there and get it done. Most places quoted $300+, they did a pretty great job for $170. No problems as of yet but I will update if I do get any. They offer limited 1 year warranty on any additional rock chips and a lifetime warranty on the windshield (as long as it is not my fault, we'll see if they live up to that). read more

I replaced my windshield in late January with another company. I had a rock hit my car a couple weeks ago, which caused a crack to start spreading. I refused to replace my windshield so soon, but it was hard to find someone who would actually repair the crack since it was more than two inches. The staff was super helpful, and very honest about what they could do. Came here because after soaking to the dealership they were telling me it would be somewhere bergen $500-$700 to fix my passenger side window. I explained to them that it seemed like the adhesive had given way and was why my window had slid into the door panel. They started telling me how it was probably a motor or some other expensive labor intensive job. Needless to say I decided to shop around. I get to Deep Ellum Auto Glass, the guys come out take a look....tell me they might have to pull the door panel off...after a quick diagnosis I couldn't believe the fair price they gave me...plus the fact that they were straight forward and didn't try to upsell me, cross sell me or over sell me makes me a life long fan. Came here to get my windshield replace. I had called earlier in the week, but do to some odd reason they did not have my replacement windshield in house. But it was ok because they actually left to go pick up the replacement windshield from their wearhouse. This place is very customer service oriented. They did a great job at fixing a crack I had in my window. They also guarantee their work, so that if the crack spreads further after they have fixed it, they will fix it for free. I can't recommend them enough. Never use this company. The customer service was the worst ever. Had a Cadillac Escalade that needed a windshield replaced. They replaced the wind shield with a cheap imitation that was not compatible with my Escalade model. After attempting for weeks to get the glass replaced, the company continued to give me excuse after excuse for why they had not replaced the windshield. Finally I spoke with the owner, Robert, only to get more of the same. After weeks of attempting to simply get my windshield replaced, Robert began questioning whether I had even used his company to replace my windshield in the first place, even after showing my canceled check. They used poor quality glass that will impair your vision while driving. I can not say strongly enough to never use this company. Never!!!!!!!! read more

Used this place for the first time to get my windshield repaired the other day. They did a great job at a great price. They also came to my office and were finished in less than an hour. Great experience overall. Knocked off a star because they were running later than the scheduled time and wasn't given a courtesy call. They did come about 1/2 an hour afterwards. Great experience! I had received several large chips in my windshield and one of those finally spread to a large crack spanning most of the length of the windshield. Ugh. I called my family's usual go-to place in the 'burbs and they quoted me $285 + tax. With that, I put off the repair hoping for a deal, and I found it at Deep Ellum Auto Glass. $185, straight up. That's a beautiful thing. We dropped off my car this morning, walked to grab some lunch, and the car was finished well before we returned an hour and a half later. This is a no-frills shop, but that's just fine with me so long as the work is solid and the people are relatively friendly. In this case, both were true. I've had 4 windshields replaced at Deep Ellum Auto Glass. They have the best prices and quick and professional service. I had a 1972 chevy C10 truck, 2007 jeep wrangler, 74 camaro, and 89 chevy suburban front glass all replaced in the past year. After the ice storm near Thanksgiving, I had a crack starting from the top of my front windshield. I stopped in and they fixed it right away, keeping me from having to buy another windshield. Called and set up an appointment for a windshield replacement. The person I spoke with stated that she would need to call the dealership and get the correct glass for my SUV. She stated that someone would be out the next day to install it. Well, the next day I never heard a word. So , I called back and she gave me a lame reason why no one came and that someone would come the next day to my job. Next day came and still no one showed. I called and the excuse this time was that it was raining and it slowed them down. I asked why no one didn't call to tell me. No reply.
