We came across this shop doing an online search. Gave them a call and spoke to Karen, who told me they did have the wine we were looking for, but they were going to be closed most of the day, but would stick around for another hour to wait for us (!). Arriving at the store, there was a note to call Karen, and a cute Springer Spaniel staring at us through the door (!). Karen and Randall were at the store in a matter of minutes. In addition to the elusive wine we were looking for, they gave us some great suggestions on others. They were so accommodating, despite being closed for the day; they even gave us tastings (!). From talking with them and checking out their website, they also do a lot of neat community focused events. These are the types of businesses that should be frequented so they can thrive!

This is a bit of a smaller place, and the interior doesn't fit too many people. There is a patio outside though and you can walk around outside near the vines. I think the most difficult part was getting here and the parking situation. The way to get here was an extremely winding and twisting road. It was pretty hard to drive, but most roads to vineyards in North Georgia are like that. However, I did think this was a little harder to navigate and drive to than others I have been to, though. The most important part is the wine. We got a Groupon deal for 2 premium wine tastings (pick 5) and a souvenir glass. We tried the: -Sauvignon Blanc: Flavors of fresh cut grass, melons, and herbs. Definitely a good one if you are a Sauvignon Blanc fan like I am! -Gewurztraminer: Gardenia and Jamaican allspice. This is the most unique one I tried with a very interesting spice flavor to it. -Sangiovese: Red with fruity flavors of strawberry, cherry, raisin, and spice. Medium-bodied. -Collage: Bordeaux blend with black cherry, raspberry, vanilla, and chocolate. -Trebonnay: Semi-sweet with pear, mango, and citrus. Most of the wines here are all dry. But there is one semi-sweet wine, and 3 sweet wines. I enjoyed all the ones I tried! I really would recommend all of them. After the tasting, I also got a glass of Pickens Pink, a sweet blush wine with cherry-berry flavors. I thought it was a sweet, refreshing finish to the tasting. For parking, there are only 3 or 4 parking spots and the rest of the cars were parallel parked on a very small section of the road. There was no space available when we got there, so we actually parked somewhere across the street and walked there, which I'm not sure if we were allowed to do. The lady working here was very friendly and pretty quick to fill our next tasting. However, she did accidentally overcharge us since we already paid on Groupon and she charged us again. She did reverse it though, so not too big of a deal. Sharp Mountain is a cool place to check out if you are looking for a new vineyard to try in North Georgia! I really liked looking at all the vines since all the rows are marked with what kind of wine those grapes produce. There's also a nice mountain backdrop to the vineyard which gives it a nice view.

And you can bring your dog! They even have doggy treats on the bar! we really enjoyed our visit to this Canton, Georgia establishment, and we absolutely plan to go again. You can do tastings here, grab a growler, grab some wine or just drink. Cool vibe and atmosphere, one of the better Growler shops I've been in. I asked for something dark and lite, and the Catawba Brown Bear was spot on that the lady recommended. If I'm ever back in Canton, I will certainly make a visit here again.
