Century House in Woodstock brings a polished yet welcoming vibe that feels perfect for a relaxed night out. The food is elevated Southern with thoughtful flavors, and the cocktails are well crafted without being overdone. Service is attentive and warm, making the whole experience feel effortless. Definitely a standout in the Woodstock dining scene.

Stopped in for lunch randomly yesterday bc we were hungry and looking for a dog friendly place to eat. Boy were we blown away by the level of attention, care, and service we received. We were sat outside (obviously) with the dog. A man came out with treats and loved on our girl and we talked to him extensively about traveling, dogs, etc. He also brought out a bowl of water for her. We learned that he was the owner, Jon. Such a genuine and sweet man! Such an unexpected and honest experience with him. We ordered the Tuna Rice Cakes and Short Rib sandwich for lunch. Both were phenomenal! We are usually very underwhelmed with the food at most restaurants, but this was a wonderful change from that. We will definitely be returning many, many times. If you're looking for a place with a welcoming ambiance and great food, this is it!

First time trying brunch here. We were seated quickly but didn't feel very welcomed this time. The hostess (blonde) just wasn't very friendly and didn't seem to want to be there. In fact none of the people we saw working there had a smile on their faces. Even the manager. Looked right at me with no acknowledgment. Not a good start. Our server Katherine saved the day and greeted us warmly. She was very friendly. We ordered the Fried Pimento Cheese Fritters. SKIP! $15 for flavorless balls that are TINY! Seriously, zero flavor. The rest of the meal was run of the mill brunch fare. The bacon was great! My eggs over medium were perfectly cooked. The biscuits and gravy were only ok because the biscuits were incredibly dense. The potatoes were good but every single thing we had desperately needed salt. I don't know why restaurants don't season their food anymore. I really like this place but I really want to LOVE it. The inside is so charming and it's a great place. Century House is falling into what most if not all Downtown Woodstock restaurants are falling into, mediocrity. Food, Service, SEASONING! I regularly drive 20 miles out of my way for better. It's such a shame. Long way from my original review.

Lots of interesting choices. Dishes range $20 and higher. Servings are large so splitting a meal is definitely an option. The short rib sandwich is delicious but not healthy . My friend had the Ruben and it was delish as well. The atmosphere is pleasant with lots of unique seating outside. Inside has a nice bar and you can still see the old house through all the decor. The service was great. The prices though for lunch were a little steep.

    Another view of dirty table

The food was fairly good, but I cannot get past the filth of this establishment. The tables are literally black. I sprayed hand sanitizer on it and the wipe was black. The wall was splattered with food and debris, the cloth used to shield trash and cleaning supplies with dirty and stained and the bar area, was by far the most disgusting. I'm certain this place hasn't been cleaned in years and years so it leads me to wonder how the kitchen must look I won't go back again.

It was our first time at the Century house and it did not disappoint! I had the chicken biscuit with a mimosa. The bacon jam was delicious and the potatoes were on point! Hubby had the steak and sausage breakfast burrito and our daughter had the fried chicken breakfast burrito. They both said their food was amazing. Katherine was our server and answered any questions we had. She was always making sure we were good and had refills. We will definitely be back!

This quaint little restaurant sits in a renovated farmhouse cottage, and I love that they haven't tried to redecorate too much and strip it of its history; the floorboards creak a little bit as you walk to your table, as if to say greetings from the past. Ther service is prompt, friendly, attentive, and management takes care of their guests when the food isn't as it should be. My son and I both ordered the CH burger, medium rare. They both came out medium well, but mind you, they were still good, just not cooked to the correct temperature. I brought this to our waitress' attention. To make things right, she offered to rebook our orders, but I declined, because I hate to waste food that is still edible. After we finished, the manager came out to discuss things, was very understanding about our concerns, listened to us in a way that let me know that he really wanted to hear our feedback in order to improve the establishment, and let's just say he more than made things right. I'll definitely be back, and hopefully update my review to 5 stars.

The food was great and the service is even better. Molly was very attentive and checked on us just enough to make the experience great. It's a nice spot for a casual lunch or drinks with the girls. Everyone was great and we were happy with the service and food.

Hard to capture the intense level of dust on the light fixtures...

I had been here years ago and it was just ok, was hoping to be wowed this time, especially as the reviews have remained consistently good over the years. First, the interior is tired. It needs a deep clean, a fresh coat of paint, and a refresh. It looks dated and just tired. Light fixtures caked in dust, really beat up walls. Doesn't scream "high end" like the price point would require. The cocktails I remembered as being a bit meh from my last visit but tried again this time. They were fine, but not great and I'd probably just skip ordering a drink next time. Tried the King and a seasonal old fashioned. They need to get large ice cubes if they're going to have a seasonal old fashioned menu. Especially a restaurant at this price point. The salmon was really good. Great, even. The "cheesecake" isn't a cheesecake...it's like a blondie in texture and size. Overall it just wouldn't be my first choice in the area. Y'all grab a weekend with a deep cleaning company and buy a new ice tray and let's take it to the next level?

Yard work is the name of this drink.

Reservations: We didn't make a reservation ahead of time; not sure if you can. We walked in and sat ourselves since we went to the rooftop. If sitting downstairs or on the patio, we would've been immediately seated by the host. Parking: It's downtown Woodstock so parking can get tricky. We both lucked out in finding spots nearby and had a short walk to the restaurant. There is parking in front of the restaurant, but it's not likely that it will be available. Food: We ordered chips and queso; chicken fajitas; and the ensalada de verano with shrimp. I was hoping for a taco salad, but they don't offer that. Chips and queso were delicious. Would definitely get again. For those sensitive to salt, the chips may be too much for you. I love salt so they were perfect for me. My friend enjoyed her chicken fajitas. My salad was okay; I wouldn't order it again. The shrimp had a burnt flavor to it, and although I did appreciate the summer flavor of the salad overall, I wasn't impressed with the dish in its entirety. Drinks: We both ordered the Skinny Love. Mine was on the rocks and my friend got hers frozen. I thought it was fine - nothing to write home about though. Vibe: The rooftop is a fun spot. You get a view of downtown Woodstock, depending on where you sit. Be mindful it is outside so you may get bugs/flying insects pay you a visit. Our sever, Christian, was a vibe. Super nice, patient, and friendly. I also appreciated they had fans around the whole area, which they turned on while we were there and it made it more enjoyable due to the heat.

We chose a comfy booth and looked the menus over. The menu is not the largest I've seen in a Mexican restaurant and there was no "lunch menu," but the prices were good and I like the fact that you can order items a la carte. I chose chicken soup and an enchilada; my brother ordered fajitas. The food was delicious! My brother said the fajitas were the best he's had in a very long time and they were reasonably priced as well. My soup was lovely and the enchilada tasty. The chips here are also some of the best I've had in a while, super thin and crispy. At the end of our meal, we were brought a free dessert (sopapillas drizzled in chocolate with whipped cream on the side). Yummy! The service was also amazing. We will definitely return here when we're in the area.

We walked in the door and were pleasantly greeted by our server. She seated us at a booth, gave us menus, and promptly took our drink orders. She brought out a basket of chips and a bowl of salsa. The restaurant contains booths along the walls and tables dispersed throughout two sides or sections of the restaurant. I had looked at photos of the menus on Yelp which included a photo of a separate Lunch menu. After reviewing the Dinner menu, our waitress returned and asked if we were ready to order. I told her that I did not see a Lunch menu and asked if they had a separate Lunch menu. She looked surprised and reluctantly agreed to get us a lunch menu. I told her it was our first time in their restaurant and we wanted to see all their menu options. She returned and asked if we were ready to order and I told her we were still deciding on our orders. There were only diners at two other tables in the restaurant at 1:00 pm so not sure what the rush was to order. A man returned (he may have been the manager or owner) to take our order and I joked with him that we were getting back-up support for our server. We placed our order and our original server returned to check on us. We both like spicy salsa and the red salsa brought to the table was bland (tasted like chopped tomatoes and sauce with little or no spices) I asked if she had a spicy salsa and she quickly returned with a hot salsa. I mixed the two salsas together and it was perfect. Our meals were fine but nothing special compared to our other frequent Mexican restaurants. Overall, not exceptional Mexican cuisine but the service was good. We will not be returning to dine here again.
