(Unfortunately I am not a member anymore bc I moved) but everyone should give TBBC a try! Here is why: Total Body Boot Camp was the absolute best fitness experience of my life. I joined TBBC in March of 2018, I really wanted some help back into fitness as I stopped working out for 6 months. Being rusty I was a bit nervous for my first class with Kathy and was immediately welcomed with a warm smile and introduced to all the members. As for the classes, each class is different and a ton of fun! Don't get me wrong you're still working hard but they make it fun for us! Another thing that really stuck out to me was their ability to assist students with moderations and correct movements that we were doing incorrect with ease and reasoning! Also each instructor has a different style, which works wonders on the body. Coaches (they may have changed since I moved) : Kathy, Bill H, Bill and KC ! All incredible! Bill H who is also the owner is hands on and even wrote a book! I shared a picture of my 1 month progress with TBBC. I BARELY changed my diet. All the progress was with the help of TBBC, I tried to attend the classes 2-3 times per week! Worth it!

The individualized coaching and modifications have made a huge difference. The scheduled sessions add accountability. I feel I have to show up! I do have may fights with myself about going but I always go to my class. The the positivity of the coaches and members has been phenomenal. I have never felt like the most out of shape person in the room or out of place. When I first started 2 1/2 months ago I couldn't get up and down from the floor. I feel so much better now and have stuck with if in spite of starting a new job with longer hours, and some family issues. I finally decided to put myself on the list. I haven't been great with the food but that is also getting better and it is a process. Bottom line is I haven't given up. So thank you to Billy and his team. It is working and I'm feeling alot better and stronger.

My child is new there and new to martial arts. I have read some of the other comments that criticize the techniques that some of the students may be learning and that they are moving through the belt system too fast. I will look at it from an opposite view. I too was a young martial artist. I had some instructors that actually made me scared to go to class. They were too harsh for someone my age and as a beginner. With years of martial arts under my belt, I also walked in with criticisms in my mind forgetting that I once was a child. I want to walked as a very young boy not even a teenager yet into very intimidating schools run by adults. Although the unnecessarily hard hits, bad breath yells in my face and general "cold" dispositions may have made me tougher, but did not encourage my preteen self to want to go to class. This school has employees that are warm and embracing to the youth. In addition to the martial arts they encourage character growth in young children. For me, it's important for children to learn the foundations of martial arts Young. Proper stances, proper ways to punch, proper blocks and so on. As my son gets older, I will direct them more towards a specific discipline that he can master. He currently likes attending this school and is motivated to go . When that changes, the school is going to change. I will offer a long-term review later based on his training results. For now I am comfortable with this environment for a young boy.

Chi's Martial Arts has two locations, the Deer Park one and their Lindenhurst location. They also have Krav Magna. Sifu Chi is a black belt in numerous disciplines and is also a PhD. I think planet fitness gives you three months before they give you the annual fee so you get to pay three months worth of membership whatever it might be $30 $40 after three months 90 days you can decide if you want to pay the annual fee and continue to go there not at Retro Fitness. Oh I say it again not at Retro Fitness Deer Park they take it out before 30 days is even up out of your account and they refuse to give you your money back when you cancel the membership because of their dirty facility. The place is disgusting. The showers are disgusting. They piss on the toilets. Nobody cleans it. I'm a pretty lenient person, but when it comes down to taking my money before the 30 days is up for the first month that's kind of Rob somebody then the manager refuses to refund my money because of their subpar gym and non-cleanliness.
