Absolutely terrible customer service. We placed an order based on the information provided through the delivery platform, only to find out that the information did not match the location's actual delivery policies. If you're going to use third-party delivery services, make sure the information customers see is accurate and reflects your business practices. What made the experience even worse was the interaction with one of the employees. When we called for clarification, the woman who answered was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She offered no explanation, made no attempt to help, and simply hung up on us. Mistakes happen, but treating customers with respect should be the bare minimum. Instead of taking ownership of the confusion, we were met with poor communication and a complete lack of professionalism. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this business until they improve both their customer service and the accuracy of the information they provide on their delivery platforms. read more

My friends and I are visiting Hawaii and wanted to try some dessert so we stumbled upon this place. This dessert cart had basically fried mochi balls with different flavor syrups which was pretty different. The textures are very crunchy and the inside was very soft. The syrup were a little bit lackluster however I enjoyed the condensed milk the best. the service is pretty quick and the owner is really nice. This spot is a bit hidden near the airport, tucked among a bunch of food stalls. I stopped by on my way to catch a flight and honestly wish I'd found this area sooner. The food I'd been having beforehand was pretty heavy, so it was such a relief to enjoy something light and delicious. The mochi was chewy and full of flavor, and the dipping sauces were heavenly. What a great treat! I had never had anything like this before, and was anxious to try it out. Got a mix of the poi and ube mochi with the white chocolate dipping sauce. The service was so friendly and helpful (particularly since I had no clue what I was getting!) It was unusual in an excellent way. The crisp exterior and the soft, chewy interior. So I've driven past the Maika'i Market a couple of times now & finally designated a time to stop. Which I'm so glad we did, their set up is hella cute. Plus I'm always a fan of trying out new locations. Food trucks are always packed with some amazing flavors & you'll get to run into some of the coolest people. The only way I can describe it is pure happiness. I just love the gooey texture of biting into the mochi. Plus that drip when you dip into the sauce it even has a shine to it. My daughter was on a huge Poi crave 4 years ago, so we spent the last 4 years visiting everything poi... Guess this gives me purpose...??? Quality/Quantity - Fresh, so expect to wait while she makes your Mochi after you order them. Sunday - Forgot you were at the farmers market... Monday - Closed... Tuesday - Cleaning the entire trailer, she took all the equipment out 100%. Now that is deep cleaning!!! Atmosphere - Trailer parked in an abandon motel. Seating and outhouses. Catering. Limited parking as they roped off most of it for safety for the 2 food trucks and their seating. Last year it was just her here, only 1 food truck. Service - 6 stars, she also shared where she is on weekends at the farmers market which we visited last year. She also has social media and updates where she is, especially if there is a local event on the weekend. Price - Forgot... As it does not matter when it comes to great quality and service. I went to visit Maui and this place was recommended by a friend so I decided to try this out. It is a food truck located by a gas station plaza and this place has a few tables so I was able to sit down and enjoy these mochis. The owner was so so sweet and explained the menu to me without even asking!! I'm so glad I did try this place because Ohohohoh this place is so good! I never had deep fried mochi until I tried this place. This is a hole in the wall spot and it was so fire! All mochis are made to order so it was hot and fresh when I got my order. Goodness gracious, this place is LEGIT! My first stop after arriving in Maui and on my way out to Kihei. Had both the Poi and Ube fried mochi. Both were AMAZING! Definitely try out the various sauces if you can - I also had mine with powdered sugar. The texture is to die for and the flavor is spot on, not overly sweet either. Because I was thirsty after a long flight, I tried the Lychee Lemonade slushy and it was fantastic - just the right amount of sugar and tartness and the ice was perfect. I tried poi mochi for the first time at the Maui County Fair a.k.a. Maui Fair years ago and always made sure to stop by the booth even if it means waiting in a 45 minute line. So when I saw that I could get poi mochi from Dee's, I kept checking their IG and even tried looking for them in Lahaina to no avail two years ago. I was determined to track them down this year at the Maui Sunday Market. No line since we were there so early so we got a dozen, half poi and half ube with the POG and guava sauce. The poi mochi on its own didn't quite measure up to the ones at the fair, which are great and addictive on its own, while this one needed that dipping sauce. Overall, it's still great having Dee's to satisfy our cravings especially since the fair had been cancelled these two years. read more

Super friendly service and music is popping outside the Dee's little purple stand! We were driving back to our home and we saw a cute purple stand that said Mochi and we immediately had to pull over! Lots of Mochi finds in Oahu, but we noticed it's a bit harder to find on Maui. Was super excited to try Dee's Poi Mochi! We tried Ube, Poi & Mango 12 piece with 2 dipping sauces (POG & coconut) for $12! It came out in a brown paper bag and donuts were supa hot! $1 per donut plus 2 dipping sauces isn't bad and not super marked up unlike other touristy items like $8 small Dole whips haha Ube poi donuts were so purple and I'm a huge sucker for Ube! They paired perfectly with the coconut dipping sauce. The plain poi & mango Mochi donut was great with POG dipping sauces! Honestly, I think all the flavors would be yummy with coconut bc it a very versatile flavor. Thanks for making yummy Mochi donuts Dee! We will be back Next time we are in Lahaina area! This review is really on behalf of my husband. I'm not usually a huge fan of mochi but this place seemed too good and unique to miss out on, and he loved it. We got the 6-pack with one POG sauce (passion, orange, and guava) so we could try one of each flavor. His favorite was the lychee and mine was a tie between the lychee and strawberry. Was not a huge fan of the poi but the others were good. I loved that they were made fresh to order (it takes about 5 minutes to make 6 of them). TIP: Google maps takes you to a random neighborhood nearby so use Apple Maps from the Yelp map. It's a truck in a parking lot outside a hotel with a few benches outside to sit down at and enjoy your mochi. We showed up around 7:45pm on a Friday night and there was no line. read more

You really can't get any better than made-to-order mochi. I shared an 8-piece with 4 poi mochi and 4 ube mochi with the original coconut sauce on the side. It was so fresh that when it was ready, it was piping hot. The crunchy fried exterior and the soft mochi on the inside were so tasty; the coconut sauce just made it even better. They're also quite large - I was satisfied after having two. I also ordered the lilikoi iced tea, which tasted mostly just like standard unsweetened iced tea. But what stood out is the SAUCE. this POG SAUCE is literally the best thing I have put into my mouth this entire MAUI trip. If I had any check on bags, I would totally buy 5 jars to take him. Oh. Emm.gee I'm so glad I got to try this place out tonight. They were at the Sunday market. There was a line when I got there. I waited for about 10 minutes. I placed my order I knew what I wanted a dozen poi mochi. It was 10 dollars for a dozen or 5 dollars for a half of dozen. If you choose ti but a dozen you can have 2 sauces or If you choose a half a dozen you choose 1 sauce. Sorry I didn't take a picture of the sauces. But they have as lot ti chose from.
