OLD SCHOOL location. Anyone remember this spot? ;)
    Maria P.

I feel like Like Poke was one of the original food trucks on Maui -- long before food trucks started popping up everywhere. They've been part of the island's food scene for over 12 years now, and I still remember their off-the-beaten-path spot on Hobron Avenue in Kahului. You would have never guessed there was delicious food being served up there, but those who knew, knew. These days, you can find them in Kahului parked at Da Tambayan Corner on Lono Avenue, or sometimes popping up out at Ho'okipa. Now, full disclosure -- I don't eat raw fish, so I can't personally vouch for their poke bowls, but that's what they're known for and I've had a number of friends and family enjoy it. What I can vouch for, though, is their fried poke -- perfectly seasoned ahi cubes, floured and fried, served over rice and lettuce, and drizzled with a creamy mayo aioli. Get it hurricane style for extra sauce and furikake seasoning -- it's delicious and gives it an extra boost as once in a while it's on the drier side. Another favorite is the poke bake, which is just as satisfying and generously portioned. Started getting this recently and it hits the spot. Highly recommend either dish, especially if you're like me and prefer your fish cooked. And whatever you do, don't skip the furikake fries -- curly fries topped with aioli and furikake. SO good. Beyond the great food, my team has worked with Like Poke for company events, and they're always a hit. Friendly service and consistent quality eats that keep people coming back -- they're a favorite among locals for a reason.

This place is located in a nice food truck area with a perfect seating tables and lots of parking. Poke was super fresh and they have so many options even in smaller or bigger sizes. Service was a must to be a food truck. She was very nice and answered the questions we had. I ordered a mini plate because the bowls were too big for me. Delicious. Definitely will come again to try other options.

Phenomenal super fresh ahi poke! Get it with the ginger soy dressing. My kid tore up this meal.

I love coming here when I'm craving fish! My go to is usually the mini fried poke, this plate is more than enough to make me full. I've even tried their fried tako and fresh poke which was also really good! They're usually busy so I try to place my order in advance so I don't have to wait too long and the staff is always so friendly. My only complaint would be that the plastic caps for the sauces tend to melt in the container due to the fried foods being so hot and fresh so maybe a new container or just placing the sauces on the side? Other than that, I'll still be back!

Nestled in an amply spaced lot outfitted with plenty of parking space and a variety of food truck genres (BBQ, American, Vietnamese, Filipino, etc) Like Poke? was a really fun stop along our trip through Maui. There were many outdoor shaded tables to choose from and the menu options across all food trucks affords variety for whatever members in your party might be in the mood to try. The crispy tako was exactly what it sounds like, octopus calamari served with two beds of rice and spicy mayo to pair along with it. I really enjoyed the freshness of the taco as well as the firm texture beneath the outer layer. The poke nachos were incredibly well balanced with the fresh poke cutting through the heartier fried wonton chip and spicy mayo perfectly.

This is a very fresh poke food truck. It's about 15 min from the airport. A great place to stop after you arrive to grab a quick bite to eat. There are 7 other food trucks in the same parking lot. Parking was free. We got two 2-item combos: one with rice and the other with salad. I liked the Hawaiian style (traditional savory) , Ginger and soy sauce (sweet) , and soyu wasabi (mildly spicy ) . They were all really delicious! It's a chill and cute place to eat with covered patio seating. The wooden picnic tables with benches give this place an island outdoorsy vibe.

Poke was great. Went there straight from the airport as soon as I arrived. Fish was very fresh and tasty. The lady working the food truck was very pleasant and informative. I would definitely eat there again.

Our very last attempt to find great poke was a huge success! I was a little disappointed at first bc they didn't have salmon and salmon is always my go to... but went ahead with the tuna they had. So glad I did. I got the poke bowl Hawaiian style and it was so fresh and some of the best poke I've had! We will be back next year when we return to the island.

I always look forward to ordering the incredible poke nachos I love the wanton crackers and sometimes I treat myself to the amazing poke bowl, which never disappoints! I did try the ahi katsu once and it was a bit dry, but I'm willing to give it another chance. I love the exceptional service here, always a positive experience. I've noticed I never have the same cashier, yet they're all consistently friendly! They're conveniently located at the Wailuku food truck, right across from Subway, with plenty of tables to relax with coworkers, family, friends, or even solo - it's the perfect spot for everyone!

I don't know why this truck food gets high ratings review Here is my breakdown Price for 2-item combos is $ 26 plus tax For me, a poke bowl in a good truck for this price is pricy and the quality is just okay In the paper, the Togo box has less topping for plain sauce Service the lady was nice and helpful Ambiance outdoor seating with a lot of flies and hot I prefer sitting down at a restaurant better for that price

Every time we come to Maui, this is a must do! The hubby & I have only been to Maui twice but have made it a point to come here both times! I love ahi Katsu and the hubby loves his poke so this is a perfect spot for both of us! This place was originally at the food truck area across from Costco but has since moved. They have 3 different types of ahi Katsu here: the original ahi Katsu, ahi Katsuyaki (ahi Katsu dipped in Teri sauce), and spicy ahi Katsu. They do have a sampler plate with all 3 but, we opted for just the ahi Katsuyaki. Each plate is made fresh to order and comes with 2 scoops of rice, a bed of lettuce and a side of sauce. The poke is always fresh, never frozen. The first time the hubby got spicy ahi which he liked. This time he opted for Hawaiian Poke with a soy based sauce, onion, and limu (seaweed). I'm not much of a raw fish person but loved this! It was so fresh with no fishy taste. The workers were friendly and so grateful to have bought from their truck. We'll definitely be back again next time!

Got lucky and came in before they ran out of poke/closed. Located les than 10-15 from the airport. Was able to get a Poke Nachos to share. The Poke itself tasted pretty fresh, well sauced, and had a great kick to it. Pretty large portion too, lots of fish and wonton chips. The woman who helped us was also very nice to take us before she closed up for the day. Worth trying if you're looking for poke before or after the airport.

Fish wasn't fresh. Discolored and had a smell to it. I'm a poke lover born and raised on fish. This was not fresh nor prepared in a way that it was edible. I wasted 90% of the poke. The rice was better than the fish. Sad.

It was a short 5 min hop over from the airport to Da Tambayan Corner and parking in the adjacent lot was easy. All the food trucks are ringed around the central tables and look for the aquamarine Da Soriano truck over by the road. Their food style is Filipino with a Hawaiian twist if you hadn't discerned it from their name. They have a build-your-own-combo grindz menu that you can pick a couple of proteins with rice options or check out the picture menu if you really don't know what to get. My wife went for the combo of Pork Adobo & Garlic Butter Shrimp with Mac & Green Salad, both very flavorful choices. Her friend went double pork action with Chinese Roast Pork Belly & Calamansi Grilled Pork Belly and Pancit Bihon Noodles as her side. The Chinese roast pork belly was as crispy good as any I've seen in any Chinatown. My Seafood Trio had a Miso Glazed Salmon Fillet, 3 Baked Mussels, 2 Shrimp Tempura and topped with Kaboyaki sauce & Thai Chili Aioli. The Shrimp were not the typical panko coated but battered and tasted good drizzled with the 2 sauces. The mussels are topped with a heavy cheesy mayo sauce and baked. Of course, it wouldn't be a Hawaiian plate lunch without a scoop of white rice and a scoop of mac salad. All this wasn't enough and our friend went back to chat with the chef and came back with a double serving of banana lumpia in crunchy spring roll wrap and drenched in heavy syrup. This was an excellent dessert and wrap up to a great lunch. We were so stuffed, we had to skip dinner!

I especially remember their sunset poke and how good it was, so I knew I had to try it again when I came back. My husband and I arrive a little past noon and waited a little behind a group of young adults. It took a while since it was only 1 person assisting 4 people, until another man arrived to help us. I ordered the sunset poke, and my husband got the shoyu yellowtail. After receiving our fish, we lined up behind the group earlier to pay. As they were leaving, I noticed they were given sets of forks and chopsticks from the cashier. When it was our turn to pay, the cashier didn't say anything, and we had to ask for a fork to eat the poke (which we didn't mind asking). But she gave us attitude, turned around to grab the utensil and handed it to us without saying a word. We waited a little since we wanted to make sure the payment was completed, but she just stared at us and finally said "you're good" when we stood there awkwardly. When we got to the car, we realized the forks she gave were broken and missing some tines. My sunset poke was a little underwhelming for mine. Maybe it was the scoop I got, but the fish had so much tough muscle fibers that I actually had to spit some out since it was so hard to bite through. The sauce was so good though, so it was a bit disappointing from the past memory I had with how buttery the fish was. My husband's shoyu yellowtail was delicious though. It melted in the mouth and really emphasized the sweetness and freshness of the fish. I actually ate it with the sunset sauce, and it paired so well with it too. Overall, the poke is still good and maybe I got a bad scoop, but Tamura's was a lot better in my memories. I would still come back next time I visit but hope for a better experience, since they do have delicious sauce and fish.
