Only the *tiniest* bit bummed, we decided to still get married and scheduled our civil ceremony. But now, I want a photographer to document this event... I think I found Emily on Instagram, after looking around at different photographers' work. I remember really liking Emily's style, how natural everyone looked, and how well Emily captured the moments. I think those were/are the most important things for me for choosing a photog, and it helped that Emily has (solid) reviews for me to go through as well. Emily was prompt in responding via email, and offered to chat on the phone to discuss the details and what I wanted. After talking for a bit, I sent over a deposit and we were set! Or not... because a week or two before our shoot, I looked at my civil ceremony appointment time and it was actually for 8am, NOT 8:30am. Yikes! I text Emily, nervous that she wouldn't be able to make the earlier time, and I would need to scramble for another photographer, but thankfully, Emily is flexible and okay with the earlier time. Phew! I also wasn't quite sure *what* I wanted from the photos (POSES? props!? specific backgrounds?!) but found some pictures I liked and sent them to Emily a day or two before our appointment, so she had an idea what I was going for. I appreciate Emily's responsiveness! The actual civil ceremony felt a little hectic; we did not know what it would entail -- paperwork, of course, and then waiting because there were other couples that were getting married that day. Thankfully, Emily was very patient. Emily is personable, friendly, and professional. She is very easy to work with, and helped the husband (!!) and I feel comfortable. Nothing felt forced, and I think she did a great job of eliciting and capturing our authentic moments. We are super pleased with the pictures and I can't stop looking at them! Lol. I would *definitely* solicit Emily's services again. Maybe for one of her fun mini shoots down the line. What a cute, low pressure and creative way to get some quality photos! Living in Los Angeles and trying to find a photographer in Rosarito was a little bit skeptical at first but once I came in contact with Studio digital fotografia I was convinced I was in good hands. We had been in constant contact via WhatsApp for about a year and a half. The day of our wedding anniversary Sam and Nancy were absolutely amazing. We paid a hefty $1,300 deposit and were so excited to work with her. Her style fit ours perfectly and she came recommended by our good friends who used her for their wedding. Earlier this year, I lost my job and had to take a massive pay cut, due to that we changed our wedding venue to a much more affordable location in the Northern California area. We explained this to Berlynn and expressed how much we still wanted to work with her despite the change in location. We even sent her a very detailed email showing her that the change in location wouldn't add too much additional travel time. Instead of trying to work with us by requesting an additional travel fee or something along those lines, she decided to flat out cancel working with us and refused to give us back our deposit. So now we lost $1,300 and had to find a new photographer. Edit to add: based on my calculations, the new location would have taken roughly the same amount of time to get to with a small addition of maybe 30 minutes. Also, flights are more accessible to the new location. A new contract could have been discussed but it wasn't. You chose to cancel on us without even discussing what a new contract would entail. Very unprofessional.

so I've known Jenna for a couple of years through our exercise class and admired her photography…read morethrough her blog. When my son was born and my parents came to visit, I couldn't think of a better person to mark the arrival of my firstborn and their first grandchild. We set up a session in Balboa Park, originally at lunchtime, but Jenna recommended we do it at sunset because of the light and what an inspired idea. We spent an hour of fun in Balboa, moving around to different locations in the park, to the untrained eye, seemingly normal settings, but to Jenna's eye, the perfect place to capture special moments. I'd never done an informal session before, only stiff, studio portraits, but Jenna put us all at our ease with her relaxed personality and special touch. I waited with bated breath for a couple of days and as she promised, there were a selection of photos on her blog with a very personal and sincere message. Luckily my parents were still here and we were all blown away. Well that's an understatement to say the least. We were just amazed at how beautifully she had captured us all, esp my son and his developing personality.There were pictures in there I don't even remember being taken, because they were so natural and full of spontaneity We didn't have to think twice about ordering the CD with all the shots on.
