Interesting experience as I am writing this right now in their facility: This is a fun place for the kids to come. This is my second time bringing my kids. We got checked in and my two girls ran up and started playing. My son and I straggled behind a few moments. Before reaching the trampolines, one of the employees stopped us and said my son cannot wear the socks he was wearing. He was wearing Galaxy Fun Park Sock (the competition). I asked why he couldn't wear those socks since they were in compliance with what was required in their facility (grip bottom socks). The employee said they were "Galaxy Socks" and that it's policy. After a moment of awkwardness, they gave my son some other socks at no charge. After walking past them, I looked at my two daughters and one was wearing Urban Air Socks and the other was wearing Galaxy Fun Park Socks. They were never stopped and told to change socks. As I'm sitting here writing this review (I was going to give them a 3-Star review for the awkward interaction and inconsistent experience) the same employee kindly just walked up to me and handed me two pairs of socks for my girls. I smiled at him and thanked him. All in all, I appreciate the consistent effort. They were kind about it. I'll be back, again. read more

We have been going to Defy for years and it has progressively gotten worst. The facilities need attention: 1. Entry is uninviting. Dirty and dated. 2. Bathrooms are disgraceful. I've been 3x in 6 months and they have gotten worse. 2-stalls unusable for ladies and it's smells like . The sinks are clogged and water doesn't drain properly. I've asked my boys about the men's bathroom and it's about the same. 3. The birthday rooms are not well organized and the staff is lacking in experience for parties. 4. The adult seating needs attention, yesterday I went to sit down and there was soda spilled all over the seat. Likely been there for days. 5. Overall jumping experience needs to be update to match that of their Apex location. Between the monthly memberships, birthday parties, school outings, camps, etc. The owners should reinvest in their business so it continues to be a success and competitive within the market. Will I come back, sure out of pure convenience. Do I feel great giving up $40+ for 2 kids to bounce not really. Owners take pride in your business! read more

Just three adults trying to jump around. Decided to check out this place on a Friday around noon. The perfect time, not a lot of people. We got a great deal on groupon. The admission for us was $10 and $3 for the socks for 90 minutes. (Your welcome!) I've seen bigger locations, but this one did the job. They have it spaced out well so you don't feel as close to other jumpers. We played dodge ball, basketball and swung into the pit. I asked how they clean the pit since there are hundreds of foam pieces in there. I was told from a staff member they switch the foam out with new ones every 6 months. I got my flu shot so I'll be fine lol. This place is not just for kids! We got a workout. I burned 600 calories roughly in an hour. The amount of strength it takes to get through these obstacles is crazy. I left there feeling like I had worked out at a gym. Now go get your Groupon! read more

We got a membership to Defy Gravity about three years ago. We attempted to cancel our membership starting about two years ago. Our membership still has not been canceled. There is no way to leave voicemails for anyone including a manager because their voicemail has been full for almost TWO YEARS. Every time I do get someone on the phone they apologize to me that their website feature where I should be able to cancel my membership online isn't working (and hasn't been for almost TWO YEARS) but they would "take care of it right now". Meanwhile I am still an unwilling member who is being charged monthly for a membership that they refused to cancel and I am out over $500. This is their "no customer service policy" and they stand behind it. read more

I was not as pleased with how they were handling COVID restrictions. They do have a sign stating masks are required, but it was quite a few people with them down under there chins or not wearing them; and talking and interacting with people.The staff should be encouraging it more in that type of environment with people constantly interacting In the main area of check in and the jumping area this was noticed. I did bring it to one of the staffs attention about the masks and she stated 6years and younger no mask, and that they are going to make more signs. Social distancing was followed mostly. I guess with that teen to young adult population it's harder to get the importance across too. I don't think I will be bringing my family back during a Saturday again. read more

Looking for a place for your 6 year old to meetup with her classmate for a playdate? Defy Gravity Raleigh is a trampoline park that my kid loves! We went on a Saturday for a 1:30pm jump. The girls agreed they only wanted to do 30 mininutes which proved to be enough time for them to have fun. You do have the option to sign your waiver online of you are a first time jumper. If you are a returning jumper, your information is saved and sign in process is easy. For both girls to jump plus socks(it is required that you buy their grip socks) it came to $22, which me and the other Mom split the cost. The girls lined up in the ramp with their cute matching socks (that they get to keep) to listen to rules /instructions. When the big digital clock turned to 1:30p, the group of kids were let in to get their jump on! There are parent viewing areas on the upper level but we chose to stay close to our girls. There is plenty of staff on hand also to watch the kids for their safety. Besides the trampolines, there are foam pits which our girls enjoyed jumping into. I purchased 1.5 hr jump passes off groupon for my kids 9 and 14 and 2 of my sons 14 yr old friends. It was a Sat night and we decided to go at 8 pm. Prior to arriving I tried calling several times to find out more information. I didn't want to arrive and find out that they were at capacity and drive out there for nothing. I called for about 30 min and no answer. If you don't already have the socks for jumping then you can purchase some for 3.00. Luckily, everyone in our group already had the socks. Once we checked in girl at the counter told me that even though we had 1.5 hr jump passes, my youngest would have to come off at 9pm because after 9pm was for 13 or older. I didn't see this on the web site(it's probably on there,just not easy to navigate when you're in a hurry)and this was part of the reason I wanted to call. If you are a non-jumper there is an observation area, wifi, comfy chairs and tv upstairs where you can look out over the jumpers. If you bring $$ there are massage chairs, vending machines, and some video games too. There are cubbies for the kids to put their shoes in or you can rent a locker. I held on to everyone's cell phones while they jumped. However, you might want to have something w a zip pocket or rent a locker if you don't have a safe place for your phone. All the boys had fun. It had been a good while since I brought my kids to Defy Gravity. $14 to jump for one hour ( 12 year old). Since our last visit we now have to buy special jumping socks for $3 (which can be washed and used in future visits). Several new additions have been added including a swing bar and a regular swing (both into the cushioned pit) and a high jump type activity onto an air mat. The swings were closed half the time of our hour and the high jump never opened. Also, when the announcement was made that our color wrist band's time was up we still had 10 minutes left (I had started a stopwatch). Overall , based on our experience, not impressed and not worth the money. At least not on a Wednesday morning at 10:30. read more

This was our first visit to any type of trampoline park. We received a groupon gift and came around 11am. The staff was friendly, explained the process well and made me feel like a valued customer. My 3 children, all 5 and under had a fabulous time! I was very pleased and will definitely be back to visit in the near future. Defygravity is the perfect place to take your little ones to burn off that never ending energy. My daughter and I checked it out for the first time today and had a blast. The staff was friendly and its very clean. They had a viewing area with a tv for the parents, tons of trampoline space, dodgeball, little kids area, foam pits attached to trampolines, and an obstacle course area. We jumped for an hour for ten bucks. Adults jump for free with children 5 & under between 9-10. You can't beat that. I planned on going to the gym afterwards but all of that jumping and foam pit action really did me in. Whew. So not only is it great for kids it's a great workout for the parents too! My only teensy complaint is, you're not allowed to wear regular socks unless they have the grips on the bottom of them. That being said, you have to go barefoot. If I would have known that I would've been more prepared. I did notice they had some for sale but I didn't inquire about them. While the space seemed very clean it still bothered me that everyone was barefoot. I would like it to be a requirement to wear socks. Also, you can buy your tickets in advance online. It's highly recommended to purchase tickets days in advance when it comes to the weekend. read more

Took my kids to this trampoline park to have some fun with their friends. At the basketball hoop, a group of teenage boys started to harass them and another group of kids that were there. I told the staff what they were doing to my girls and they said they can't do anything. Then, the boys told the staff that we were in their way and the staff told US to leave after they had repeatedly harassed us and other people. Mind you, we are people of color. As we walked out, the boys shouted slurs to us and cursed us out. The staff did not do their job to help us and the whole situation was disgusting. Never coming back. read more

Ok so defy gravity was fun! But it was packed and the age range was too broad. I went with a group of people (all young adults-24-30) and we were in a session with children as young as 3/4 years old. This place has trampolines, swings, dodgeball, a place you can practice tricks, a warped wall, etc but you can't thoroughly enjoy it with kids running around and getting in the way (not that kids aren't great but there should be some type of separation). Ex. Playing dodgeball with a 5yr old who doesn't understand the rules isn't as fun and disrupts the game. And when I say packed...I mean we had to wait about an hour from when we got there before actually starting a session. There's an option to do it online beforehand....do it online! It'll make all the difference! Also keep in mind you HAVE to buy their socks. Which is an extra $3/4. read more

First off, parents DONT even watch their own kids! They are too busy looking at their phones!!!!!! Mean while kids are running around, pushing kids, cutting in line, jumping where they aren't suppose to be jumping, using equipment without supervision and misusing equipment! The staff used to be great but they were horrible and lazy today. All of them but one add Bad attitudes and doing a whole Lotta nothing., they spent most the time playing/flirting with each other and doing a lot of nothing. Poor little kids were waiting for the trapeze and swing to swing on, but they couldn't reach it. I look over and there's four employees standing around in a circle chatting with each other, nobody goes to help the little kids out, despite me asking, So I did it myself. Sure try this place out at least once. Its a solid place to go for an hour with family and friends. They have various trampoline sections with fun activities. Which include, basketball, swing jump, dodgeball and an obstacle course. The esthetic of the place is as if you'd traveled back to 2005. Be careful of jumping into the foam pits bc it acuumaltes ALOT of dust particles. That will seep into you eyes and face once you jump in there. Once I got home I was coughing for a while bc of the dust particles in my system from jumping in the foam pits. $14 is not a bad price for an hour but the actual cost is $17 bc it's mandatory to wear their grip socks which are an extra $3. It makes no difference bc those socks still come off very easily. Just another way for the business to up charge the customer with a pointless fee. read more

I have only three words...fun..fun..fun!!! Okay, three words won't do this place justice. We booked a birthday party this past Saturday for my 9 yr old. I wasn't sure what to expect. I assumed the 11 kids who attended would be the only ones jumping. Funny enough, once we all saw the kids jumping half the parents decided they wanted in too. Even my older teenagers decided to jump as well. I can't say enough good things about our experience. If you want to wear your children out so they'll nap the rest of the afternoon or the rest of the weekend this is the place for you! Truthfully I can't wait to go back and jump! However, be warned. If you're older than 30 and you decide to jump for an hour just know you probably won't be able to walk for two solid days. But for those who don't want to jump, you can always watch tv in the lounge area (they have WIFI also) that overlooks the jump areas. This is a great place for the entire family! Defy Gravity is remodeling and they've closed off parts of the gym. In particular, they've closed (permanently, I gather) the toddler area which was much more fun for the little ones and safer for everyone. No one mentioned that the toddler area was closed even as I checked in my 4-year-old. I had the same conversation 3 different times with three different attendants - Where are we supposed to go? You can dive in the foam pit, etc. Be real, look around, the place is packed, look at those kids, look at my daughter, I'll ask you again, where are we supposed to go? Other parents were angry too. The staff was unprepared to respond. So we found a trampoline in the main area and I hovered, occasionally hollering at more aggressive kids to be careful. An attendant came over to tell me I had to wear sticky socks, because hovering with athletic socks is unsafe. I wasn't jumping, I wasn't moving, I was standing. I had the wrong socks for standing. Thank you, sir, but you do realize there are other safety concerns that might be more worthy of your attention. I gave the experience an extra star for the nice young girl at the desk who had to listen to me explain that disappointing a 4-year-old who was excited to jump was a heartbreak. The place was well operated and the staff was really friendly and attentive. They have plenty of stuff to do there and the facility seemed very neat and clean. I like the way they sell tickets and you are in for a certain time period. Helps control the number of jumpers. They have a nice viewing area. The kids love going here and they leave tired so that makes me happy. It is on the expensive side especially when it is a family of 4 and I am not sure why they charge a fee when you buy the tickets. Especially when you buy them online and print them out from your printer (isn't that making it easy for THEM)? Then when we finally could jump, one of the main attractions we came for was not in service. Overall awful experience and the "manager" lady definitely didn't give two craps. My older twins (10 years old) haven't been in at least 3 years. We went for the first time today and I think it will definitely be our last time going. The rep at the front desk asked how many children we had under 6 years old (which was supposed to be free). We have a 2 year old. She charged us for a child over six years of age outside of our twins. Had my husband not looked at the receipt we would not have known. When he brought it to someone's attention another girl basically said she did not know what to tell us bc she couldn't give us a refund. Policy for renting lockers was quite ridiculous. They gave us a lock and said if you want your things come back to the front desk and ask for the number on the lock. No receipt was given. In my mind that means anyone can go up to the front desk ask for that number and get the key. The chaos was quite ridiculous. At one point in time they were much more organized. Multiple kids running around unsupervised. Multiple kids jumping in areas where there should only be one kid jumping at a time. Workers looking as if it pained them to work. Very unpleasant. Very doubtful we will be returning. read more

My wife and 2 children had a BLAST (ages 6 and 2). We all jumped. Definitely great for kids of all ages. They have an area for younger children, but everything is little-kid friendly. If you arrive at early enough (9am?) parents jump free which will save you $14 per per adult. read more

COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL- I have NEVER once ever submitted a review for anything or ever complained about a business publicly because I believe we all make mistakes and nothing nor no one is perfect. I submitted my cancellation for membership as instructed. They made the mistake of charging me the subscription again. I called them and have sent numerous emails to the people in charge and not only do I not get a response but it's been over a month and I still have not gotten my refund nor even a reply on the emails with the evidence. I've brought my children here before with no issues and had a pleasant experience.. today I decided we will NOT be returning to this location .. it started when my son walked in and employee named Jalen ..felt it ok and necessary to put stickers on his jacket. When asked by my brother and husband if he knew my son and what was the purpose was ..the employee went unlisted Shouting obscenities that's he was " going to f*** people up and kick peoples a** becoming belligerent to the point where the other staff had to escourt him away .. the staff was polite in trying to rectify the situation in giving us a refund and allowing my children to continue jumping ..most jobs would have sent him home ..but all they did was hide him In the. Back until we left..I know it's hard to find good help but this young man should NOT be allowed to work son's children until he is able to control himself in a family environment ..I hope the manager sends this kid packing and looking for a new summer job ..he definitely left a bad taste in my mouth for this establishment!!!!!! read more
