Had a birthday party here for my kid and it went pretty well! The staff were generally helpful before and during the party. There's a Pizza Hut right next door which is super useful for feeding the kids. Angel Island can arrange for the pizza to be delivered, but they charge a fee, and it's pretty easy to just walk over there and grab the pizza yourself :) There's plenty of stuff for the kids to do, like play in the ball pit, jump on the sticky wall with a Velcro suit, or go on the merry-go-round. The party room was pretty barebones but it got the job done. I will say that my son developed influenza B about one day after his party, but I'm not 100% sure he caught it at Angel Island since that's a pretty short (but not unheard of) incubation period. I will say it didn't seem like the cleanest venue and there were tons of kids running around, but who knows :) Overall, my kid had a good time and I think it's a pretty decent choice for a birthday party. read more

We absolutely love Angel Island! Even though it's about a 25-minute drive for us, we choose it every time because it's well worth it. Our kids have the best time, and the facility is always clean and well-maintained. A special shoutout to the manager, Katina. She is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and does an amazing job keeping the play place immaculate. Came in today it was a busy Saturday but not too crowded bought a Groupon and less than $30 for three kids is a steal. ESP when they don't charge for adults. As others have mentioned it's small and could use a good scrub. Lots of snotty crying little kids so I'm sure we left with a cold lol. Lots of dust and debris. They do try with the slides for the bathroom and no bare feet but still. I did like that it's 8 and under so no big kids running around. We haven't been here in a while since taking multiple children can be expensive but I found a Groupon so why not. By the way, they only keep you on the system for a year so you'll need to sign the waiver again. Also, their policy of 8 and under is new to us. My older children were able to play before but some children broke structures by being too rough so they had to implement a rule. So when we got here, we found the door closed. The nice attendant told us that they just cleaned. Yeah! How fortunate for us. It smelled great. It did look cleaner than the last time we were here. I didn't see any huge dust bunnies underneath the structures. The slides were sprinkling, the foams were all in the pit, plastic balls in the pit or under a structure. Surfaces didn't feel sticky so sitting on the foam mat with my baby didn't feel gross. Last time we were here, they had some shooting apparatus. They took that out. It would get stuck when kids put too many balls inside and some kid ended up getting a ball to the head. So, it's probably the best. My kids had fun jumping on trampolines, tossing balls in the pit, sliding and getting tangled in the web structures for hours. We didn't even see the time fly by. This place is a death trap for kids. The equipment looks like it was ordered from Temu. Absolutely a death trap. There are several play systems that are not safe at all. For instance there is one play set where kids fall through this 4 level elastic. Every level can be a potential neck snapping due to the force of the fall. Please watch your kids as they play!!! The outer area is clean ... the bathroom I like that they have the sandals to put on to go to the bathroom . 1 random male bathroom though 3 both gender bathroom . I'm sad to say that I didn't like this playspace at all. It was chaotic and dingy, and there were broken pieces all throughout. Very cheaply made. There are swings hanging underneath/in the back with ~3' head clearance. This has always been our favorite indoor play place for our kids BUT on our most recent visit, we were greeted with a sign on the door saying that it's only for ages 8 and below. My son was so disappointed that he couldn't play. My daughter left in tears. It really should be more clear and maybe renamed "Angel Island Toddler Park" or "Angel Island Jr" so people know what the age limit is. Never knew these places existed! Came here for a private party, the place was closed to the public. You pay for the child, adults are free. It's a giant foam floor, trampoline, ball pit, slide, play place for kids. They have a room where the table was set up for the party as well. I had a great time and so did my 1 year old, who KO'ed in the car shortly after leaving! I'm not sure of how they clean throughout the day, but it wasn't dirty when we were there at 5:00pm on Sunday. I like that the option for this exists in a convenient location with ample parking. The price is okay I guess, approx. $20 for 4 hours of play for one child (we only stayed one hour). I think maybe it was the circumstances of the day we took our newly 3yr old for open play (a rainy Sunday, when there was also a birthday party going on). However, the place just felt sort of yucky and cramped, also smelled weird (maybe just from variety of foods eaten at the party mixed with lots of people with their shoes off). I like that they required all the kiddos to wear grippy socks for safety and I liked the variety of play options (tunnels, ball pit, swings, trampolines, foam block pit, toy cars to drive etc.). My little girl had fun, but it just didn't feel as clean or updated as other similar places we've been, so for those reasons, we likely won't return. Kids had a blast. Had to drag them out. Not really, they're sorta ok. Now for the fun stuff. So this boy wants on my girl's square block for the spinning swing that everyone loves. He's fairly aggressive, loud, pulling, and putting his foot on my kid to knock her off. My eyes meet the others of parents observing this and we are all in synch that this is out of hand. Aggressive kid is not giving up and his parents are too enamored with his awesomeness to put up much of a defense against his will. But the staff were nice enough to spot the trouble and remove the kid from the scene for a timeout to cool down and then the family left shortly after with big smiles. A little while later a staff member comes over and apologizes to us for the incident and hands us a free day to come back. For a place like this to be on target like that, making sure that that kids are ok with each other, well that means we'll be back. I actually did get some reading done and 2.5 hours spun by pretty quickly. 2 parties went through while we were there and then we had a hard out for a group who paid for the whole place. So we are very likely going to book it for one of the kids parties. A fun place for kids and parents to relax without worry. read more

Cute playground. I arrived right at opening and my son was by himself for about 5 minutes before another family arrived. Within the first hour the place was flooded with kids. I think the average was between 3 and 7. My son had an amazing time, but the owners are hung up on some odd details. For example, they make you use shared rubber slippers if you're going to the bathroom. With your own socks. So you're sharing footwear with everybody and trusting they don't have foot fungus or something... as a "sanitation practice". Yet for somebody so concerned with sanitation, they have the single most notoriously gross item - the ball pit - taking up a majority of the space. Yet and still, I'm giving it 4 stars because even that cannot detract from the absolute fun my son had while there. I can see this getting to be a total zoo as they grow, if they don't limit admittance, but for now it was very manageable and the kids played together well. read more

It is a serious struggle for me to find something fun, safe, and entertaining for my 15 months old to do. This place is a gem. It is so clean and bright, and there is so much activity that you could spend the entire day there. Everything is super padded, Super accessible for my one-year-old, and easy to climb. I did not worry about his safety the entire time we were there. We will definitely be visiting this place again. The only recommendation I would suggest for parents is to pack snacks, lunch and drinks because there is no cafeteria or vending machine, just a bunch of cafeteria style lunch tables to sit on to eat. Today was my first time visiting Island Fun Park. My 2 year old daughter had so much fun and didn't want to leave, but in terms of Covid precautions I wasn't impressed. I likely will not renew my month membership after it expires. 1) Their website states that they have a limit of 30 people but they allowed more than 30 while I was there. My guess there was at least 50. 2) They didn't enforce their rule of adults wearing socks. I saw someone barefoot walking around, then put his shoes on to use the restroom, all the while walking THROUGH the play area. Gross! 3) The place has a weird smell. I don't know what it is but it's one of those smells that attaches to you after you leave. I had to shower when I got home. 4) People are not all wearing masks. So I just didn't fully feel safe there. I had to avoid certain areas of the room to stay away from those people, especially since it was over capacity. I ended up leaving when I really felt uncomfortable. What else.. 5) Their system doesn't allow for multiple purchases, so if you buy a membership and also want to purchase socks, you have do make two transactions. One last thing, I would have really liked to see someone cleaning and wiping things down while I was there especially since it's a play area for kids. I wished it smelled clean, but it didn't. I would have rated this 2 stars but voted 3 just because my daughter enjoyed it so much. read more

Nice place, not clean. I took my daughter there and about 20 minutes in she started having a coughing fit. After some water she was fine for about 5 minutes, then coughing again. Ok, we went outside, and she was fine. Came back in, another 5 minutes, starting coughing again. The issue is that the place is not uniformly clean. Go in the back and look under kids trampoline '2'. There is a thick layer of dust, it's really gross. Checked my socks the next morning and you can tell this place is in need of regular deep cleaning. From the evidence my kid was having a reaction to all the dust in the air. There are also hundreds of balls stuck in weird places where they can't be played with. These should be in the ball pit or with the two ball 'canon' which don't have any balls to shoot. This could be a good place for anyone in Cary to take small kids and play for 1.5 to 2 hours. But we won't be back until this place gets cleaned up. read more
