If you have a 12 year old,or in that range that wants to play in the basketball area, don't go here. My son tried to play. Management allows older teenagers and young men to play and one got upset that my son scored on him, shorter adult, and he deliberately landed on my sons head and injured him. This place is dangerous. On the other side,there were 4 adult men in their 30s and 40s playing dodgeball outside the enclosure. One ball went flying and hit my 14 year old daughter. read more

Sent out chicken tenders one batch was 90% batter showed the young lady at the register, she tried to argue and say it was chicken in there. Grand location if you like/want to simply jump around and have a good time. While visiting my nieces and nephew thought it a perfect spot for an afternoon of high flying, fun activities. They have classic area of side by side trampolines, a trampoline Basketball area, a trampoline Dodgeball area, trampoline foam pit, mini rock climb wall, children's obstacles course areas with fun slides and to finish it off a trampoline 'Wipeout' spinning trampoline sweeper. All in all good well kept, clean and good in shape apparatuses. Little to no wait in most areas [minus basketball which could get tied up with a group game]. There is also a small arcade area if you need a breakaway from the bouncing action. Just know that is a separate cost from your original timed wristband given when entering for you bouncing session. Outside of that there is a small beverage concession to get water or a frozen Icee drink and lockers to put valuables [keys, wallets, phones and shoes]. This location is clean and organized. I will say that I am very unhappy with the price model provided to me online vs. in person. I ended up spending $760 on me and my 12 nephews and I was blind sided when they asked me to take out my card. I love bouncing more than anything but I do not love lies and deception. A group of us stopped by here Saturday as my little cousin was turning 4 years old. The little kids came to burn off some energy, as I tried not to break a hip in my old age. When we arrived things seemed a little chaotic with the staff. Some were standing behind counters watching, while others were busy engaging customers. The first odd thing was when we checked in it was about 2:42 PM, yet our 60 minute jump passes were from 2:30-3:30. Essentially they were short changing us almost 15 minutes of play time. When we inquired why the time discrepancy, they stated that they do them in 30 minute increments. We wondered, why not explain them, and just let us enter at 3:00 instead of 2:30 So the cashier just took a marker and changed the time on the sticker. Another customer in line next asked to speak them the manager. She was told that the some of the jump zones were closed due to them not having enough staff. The customer was upset because they had to pay full price when multiple jump zones were closed. The shocking thing was what the manager said in front of all of us, "You don't have to jump here!" I was like, wow, that's great customer service. There was a group of customers asking for some sort of concession because three jump zones were down, and the manager basically said to take your business elsewhere. Granted, the MOD did appear really young, and inexperienced, but there had to have been a better way to handling it instead of ticking off a bunch of customers that would just write Yelp reviews. At the park I noticed that four team members were just standing on one trampoline hanging out for a while. If they were so short staffed as the MOD stated, then why do they have 4 people just talking to each other, and not paying attention to the kids. Over by the foam pit where the kids jump into, there was one female team member with her headphones on, she pretty much spent the entire hour we were there leaning over the railing talking to another team member. Neither of them were paying attention to the kids, or calling out any rough play. I did notice about half a dozen or so people jumping in regular socks without any Sky Zone time sticker on them. I guess the staff figured they don't get paid enough to monitor the jump zones. I have been to multiple trampoline parks, and I would say that this one appeared to be the least safe due to the lack of concern with the staff. They were more focused on talking to each other, or their friends that came to visit that actually monitoring the stations. For example, nobody was monitoring the Dodge Ball station while we were there. But that might have been the girl in the hoodie that was out of the area talking to the girl in the foam pit for an hour. All I know is from where she was standing, she didn't have any view of the dodge ball arena. I did notice several tables in the dining hall that were dirty, and just had leftover food on the table and floor. With as bad as it looked, I didn't get any food, because there would not have been a halfway decent spot to eat, unless I made my child stand up and eat. One thing I do wish they had, was a large area with cubie holes for shoes like all the other trampoline parks. At a couple of tables in the dining area. there were just shoes under the table, so nobody could use them to eat at. Located in an industrial park off Capital Blvd. near 440, Sky Zone is super convenient to the Belt-line. We went on a Friday night and it was busy, but not at capacity. I appreciated the ability to complete the waiver online and have it emailed to me with a bar code, rather than having to print it out. This was our first time there and my teens grumbled that there were some big differences between Sky Zone and Defy Gravity- such as only one person per trampoline, whereas at Defy Gravity is it a free for all with jumping. The other is that there's no club night (ages 15+) where lights are dimmed, disco ball lights and loud music. My teens loved that the space was separated into toddlers, kids and then teens/adults. Also the basketball net and dodge ball room were super fun. Overall we found Sky Zone to be bright and clean and the staff friendly. Each jumper is given a pair of Sky Zone socks to wear and take home, included in the price, which helps with cleanliness and is smart marketing. Also there is hand sanitizer stations scattered throughout. Sky Zone and Defy Gravity are basically located in the same area of Raleigh- both are off Capital, and have the same pricing. Having said that, there are differences and it is worth checking both out. Groupon has a deal 2 jumpers for $17 for one hour of jump time on Tuesday-Thursday. I came to skyzone for the skyrobics fitness class. Oh yes, fun and working out all rolled into one! Isn't that what we are all looking for? Your first few minutes on the trampoline gets a little ridiculous as a flood of excitement rushes in and everyone (including me!) starts bouncing and giggling before the class even begins. The facility is large and has multiple trampoline sections that are beyond the size of your typical backyard trampoline. From what I can remember, there was one for small children, one where you can play basketball, and a third or even fourth that I could not see well. In addition there is a section that has about 18 or so little sectioned off trampolines for individuals. This is where we did skyrobics. We had a class of 16 which is a pretty decent size. I was in the last row in the back and had no trouble seeing or hearing the instructor. The class started with a warm up involving bouncing and simple movements to get us used to the trampoline. The actual class involved a lot of bouncing while doing familiar exercises such as jumping jacks, lunges, et cetera, and a few such as push ups, sit ups, and plank where we did not bounce at all but our balance was surely tested on what felt like a giant marshmallow. At the end we did a sort of circuit training with multiple stations using the trampoline and the bare floor of the facility. I managed well throughout the class. It was a full body workout. At some points I did feel some disequilibrium, but it was not severe enough that I needed to stop. There were also some moves that are a bit intimidating like butt drops or trying to touch your toes while your in the air but I lost the fear as I did more. I do not like to do exercises that put a lot of pressure on the knees and I felt like the trampoline's elasticity did alleviate that stress from the normal exercises. However, please still do be cautious if you have any medical issues. The instructor was awesome! I wish I could remember her name but I need to hear it a few times before it sticks. Well, in any case she mentioned she was the only instructor for skyrobics. The skyrobics will be a nice addition to my workout routine so that I can switch it up now and then. Juhana was our instructor and she was engaging, encouraging, and provided a variety of activities for a great core workout. Trampoline places like Sky Zone take me back to the days of jumping around like a insane child at The Discovery Zone or Chuck-E-Cheese...Even though i'm pretty sure neither of those places had trampolines....Either way the feeling of utter nostalgia comes to be in the best possible way. There's no denying it, jumping around makes you feel like a kid again- -Even if that jumping around is for an exercise class. I came in tonight for their SkyFitness class, where apparently you can burn 1000 calories (or something around there probably) in one hour! Last week I attended a free GravityFit class at DefyGravity and while I loved it $10 for an hour class was a bit too much for me...So straight to Sky Zone I go where classes are a steal at $5 for an hour! Yay savings! That being said I came in fully comparing the two from start to finish, and there are some VERY obvious differences in classes. First off Sky Zone has about a million other things going on while SkyFitness is happening. They don't shut down like DefyGravity does which means you'll be trying to listen to your instructor while a pack of 10 year old boys run around screaming their heads off. They don't even turn down the blaring mix of One Direction, Journey and insane rave music (I think the person controlling the music may be drunk or just slightly crazy considering how bipolar the music is lol). Another tick against Sky Zone in relation to DefyGravity....The instructor has no portable mic which makes listening to instructions TWICE as hard now. You could tell she was really trying to be loud but Sky Zone should really throw her a bone and get her a mic like DefyGravity does. But it isn't all bad (after all my rating is "Yay! I'm a fan.". Even though I couldn't hear the instructor at all I feel like my workout was waaaaaaay more effective here. She really kicked our butts while mixing in the fun boucing around you come to expect from a warehouse full of trampolines. I left feeling tired and feeling the burn which is what I was hoping for! And of course who can forget the fact that I got this kick butt (and fun) workout for $5. HALF the price of their main trampoline competitor. Just for the fact that I can come twice as much for the same price give them the edge! While Sky Zone has it's setbacks when it comes to their fitness classes I think they do a pretty awesome job working with what they have. I will definitely be back soon for another class soon and hopefully to go jump in that oh so tempting pit of foam blocks too... read more

Wow! We were blown away by our customer service from a particular employee- so much so that we got the young man's name just so we could mention his work. Everyone was great, but Tyler in particular knocked our socks off. We came for a themed toddler time because our 3 year old is obsessed with Paw Patrol. We witnessed Tyler's work while he ensured the kids waited their turn and followed the rules for the foam pit. He learned their names just from their parents calling to them, he got down to their level while giving instructions and made sure they understood. He has tons of energy and patience and seemed to truly be having fun with the kids, high fiving them for good jumps and congratulating them for following rules. Later, when the costumed characters came out, he lead them around so they could safely maneuver stairs in those unwieldy costumes. Then, he played basketball with the little kids and had them all cracking up while he blocked shots then let them score. My kid, the biggest Marshall the firedog fan on earth, literally ignored Marshall at the end of our hour so he could continue playing basketball with Tyler! We stopped to thank Tyler on the way out and had to wait in line behind three other sets of parents waiting to thank him. We had a great time and were so impressed by young people who obviously were giving their job their all. Very impressed! We will be back. read more

We had a great time at Sky Zone! My nieces and nephew were in town visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday when I saw a Groupon come through for Sky Zone. I had been to one, or a similar concept, before in another state, so I was a little nervous because I remembered the experience as kind of chaotic and more like the Wild Wild West. Needless to say, my sister and I bought enough Groupons so we could jump to try to watch over the kids to keep them safe. Nobody had time for broken bones this visit! We were so pleasantly surprised at how well-organized and supervised the park was. There were plenty of workers (maybe college-aged) who were truly concerned about safety and took time to explain each section. Each admission came with a brand new pair of jumping socks, which really made the germaphobe in me very happy. The kids thought the socks were fun and liked the bright orange. The Groupons were so easy to use and made it a very affordable outing for some last minute fun. There is a snack bar if you are hungry, and I thought it was so great that there were water fountains! I really didn't feel like dropping $20 on bottled water, so it was nice that they weren't nickel'n and dime'n ya at every corner. My parents came along and bought some chips as a snack, and the chips were reasonably priced for an entertainment venue. My mom did wish they had coffee, but she loves coffee and expects it everywhere. :) All in all, the kids loved it and were so worn out. read more

I usually would not write a review, if negative, for a small business, but I saw SkyZone advertised on my Facebook feed and thought, " why not share?". We had planned on having our daughter's 4th bday party here at SkyZone, but 8 days prior to our party, a young man called me and canceled our reservation. He said it went under new ownership and the new owner wanted to cancel all parties, that's all he knew. No other explanation, offering to make the situation better and no apology. If any of you have kids in Raleigh who have a birthday in the late fall to winter months, you know reservations at indoor places are difficult for weekends. I had to email our list of 50 some contacts to let them know our venue has changed with a week to go. Needless to say, I lost all confidence in SkyZone and stick to Defy Gravity, which is an awesome place with really nice people!! I hope you all have better luck!!!! read more

I wrote a not so nice review of this place shortly after they opened due to issues with disorganization and poor communication regarding the fitness classes. Since I eventually went back to give them another chance and have been going regularly since, I figured it was time for an updated review. They've been better about keeping their website current and making sure the class times posted are accurate. The fitness classes are a great workout and the instructor is energetic, fun and friendly. She's able to modify moves so that they are appropriate for all fitness levels and she's constantly adding new moves to the class so that you get a lot of variety. It's more than an aerobics class-she also adds moves to work your core and arms. If I we're reviewing just the class and nothing else, I'd make this a five star review! The reason I deducted one star is that there appear to still be issues with staff communication. Often the people at the front desk are not able to answer questions and often you'll get different information depending on who you talk to. Thankfully, there haven't been any more miscommunications about class times but there have been some regarding the class passes. This is problematic because they constantly change the cost of the passes so it's a crapshoot as to how much they'll cost oh any given day. This isn't a deal breaker because the class is cheap even without buying the ten class discount pass (8 dollars a class normally and 64 dollars for a ten class pass) but it is a tad annoying. If you want a fun and unique workout though, I do recommend overlooking this issue and checking out the Dky Fit class! read more

This place is a wonderful birthday spot for your kids. I had my son's 8th birthday here last Saturday and everyone had a great experience. I was very impressed by our host who took care of everything for us during our 2 hour stay. Although they have a few rules on the trampolines that my kids were a little bummed about, I, as a parent, think they are perfect! Whatever keeps those kids in one piece! They really do care about everyone's safety here. Another awesome thing about this place is the cleanliness of the park! It doesn't stink at all! I witnessed managers walking around picking up trash and cleaning the tops of the trash cans. The one cashier at concessions was constantly wiping down the counter. I can't say enough great things about SkyZone. I have a 3 year old son who is full of energy. This is the PERFECT place for him. I have heard scary stories about trampoline parks but I feel 100% safe with him there. The court monitors really watch out for all the jumpers and safety is their number one priority. It's even great fun for adults! The work out you get just from jumping for 30 minutes is incredible. It's great healthy fun. I would highly recommend SkyZone for a fun afternoon out or even a birthday party. We have already booked our sons birthday party for this coming May. He is soo excited! DH and I won a group package for Sky Zone at a charity event thinking our DD would want to have her birthday party there. She didn't and by the time she made that decision, the passes were close to expiring. We decided to donate the package to one of the local schools. I called Sky Zone to see about buying socks to go along with the passes and the manager offered to change the expiration date so the kids would have a chance to get there! When I went in to get the passes updated, I asked for 12 pairs of socks, but when I went to pay, the manager said he would throw the socks in for free! In the world of trampoline parks this is right down the middle. I understand that safety is a MAJOR concern in these environments. That said, I think this location is best suited to older teenagers and adults. The limits for toddlers and younger kids during the day and early evening are so extensive that their overall play is limited to 2 zones in the entire area. Our daughter just had her 4th birthday party here and I am so grateful to the staff here for making it a wonderful experience from scheduling to cleanup. Everybody is so friendly, and the girl who was assigned to our party (MC, not sure of spelling) was really great. She was super upbeat, my daughter loved her, and she was really on top of things. It seemed like all the kids enjoyed it, especially since there are different trampoline areas to choose from. Highly recommend Sky Zone for anybody considering this as a kid party venue. Made a reservation via phone for 6 and was told I could add more if needed when I arrive. They couldn't find my reservation because they use a paper card filing system and I wasn't allowed to add more people. Luckily it was adults and not kids that wanted to be added. They got my birthday host and she was so helpful as well got everything i needed, was very attended to my needs and my son. She did everything she can to provide.
