When I returned them within 30 days, I learned this store only gives store credit, no refunds. The employees were dismissive of my concerns, showed little care about the injury, and one employee even laughed and told me I should shop elsewhere if I didn't like their policy. So rude and unprofessional. This place is just another highway robbery dressed up as a shoe experts. As a long-time customer, I'm very disappointed. First of all it's a small store, but I really liked that they had a big variety of brands, including Glyder and Hoka, which are both brands I really enjoy. They are a bit pricey, but locally made. Also, The Foot Spot has Brooks and other fantastic walking and running shoes. They can make orthotics too. But my favorite thing is the HUGE selection of Oofos!! I wear them a lot. I have slides, house shoes and sneakers by Oofos. I had to play the send it back and forth game with Zappos because the sizing is a little different. For my subsequent pairs, I will just visit The Foot Spot. Yay! Not sure if Kansas City's public transportation comes through this area or not, but best bet would be to have your own rental car or have uber / lyft app on your phone for quick and easy access for on demand rides. For the most part though, I was satisfied with my purchase and got a 20% discount too. It was around the price range I was looking for - after the discount. They also have the shoes in the back once you get done shopping. The clothes are cheaper than online, they had a buy one get one 50% off but we weren't going to do that because one of the joggers is already 45, but they have a 20% military discount, so that made it helpful. Both of these shoes have exhibited the same problem; the sole is separating from the shoe and after very little actual use. We understand the limit of returns/exchanges is 30 days and under normal circumstances do understand the policy. We were given the New Balance phone number which we appreciated but I would have expected the store to take a more active role in addressing this with New Balance on our behalf. We purposely bought locally to support business in Lee's Summit but given this experience, we might as well buy on-line.
