    Amazing burger ...
    John F.

Simple little corner tavern with some tables and a small grill in the corner. Another off the beaten path winner! Run by a husband and wife team that puts out great food and drinks with the entertainment and hospitality you would expect from a small town bar. Soup and sandwiches come fast and are terrific. The prices are amazingly low too! On Saturday's and Sunday's you can get buckets of chicken to go or eat them at your table. Nothing special fixing wise, but the chicken is just great! Ask about the Shake of the Day or other bar games!

Kara or Capital Amber...not sure which I love more, lol

Truly is a dive ~ but the food and service is incredible! I have shared this "secret gem " with several friends who will be going back!

Gotta tell you about our Friday night out. The guys at Hoban Brothers told us this place had a…read morereally good fish fry on Friday nights. So we drove to the sticks to try out this bar/restaurant. The building itself is a bit organic. It's old school wood inside. The bar was packed but there were three long tables. We sat at the end of one of those tables wondering what the protocol was . Within two minutes a very friendly (and cute) waitress approached us; and asked us what we wanted to drink. They have several good beers on tap. My wife ordered an Oktoberfest and I ordered a Spotted Cow. In minutes our waitress placed two beers in front of my wife. I was reaching for one when two beers were placed in front of me. Our waitress informed us that it was "double bubble" time. Two beers for the price of one. We perused the menu. Even though there were some great appetizers, we passed and decided to try their perch dinner. They also have bluegills, walleyes, haddock and catfish. The time slipped by as we sipped our beers. Out came our dinners. Wow, a very filled plate of food. The fish was excellent, as were the fries, cole slaw and rye bread. Even though the place was busy our waitress checked on us on regular occasions. Our meals were so good we were literally purring with pleasure. Note to my friends, if you're going to have an appetizer you better be hungry as we barely had enough room to finish our suppers At the end I shook our waitress' hand and told her she did a great job. Tipped her well. Bottom line, this is a great place to get a fish dinner on a Friday night. The food was great, the service was great, the ambiance is biker bar. It was a bit raucous. If you want the Wisconsin experience of the Friday night fish fry, it would behoove you to check this place out. Top three of Friday fish in the Manitowoc area in my humble opinion.

Great food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely a great local spot worth visiting.read more

Inside it was clean, well lit and offered your typical rural, Wisconsin bar and grill feel. When we entered we were greeted and upon grabbing a seat, were able to quickly order an adult beverage. One thing I will say about their staff is they were all helpful and friendly throughout our visit. The menu offered a nice variety of appetizers and entrees. They had several specials listed for the evening. I had convinced myself to have a hamburger on this trip. I ordered a mushroom and Swiss; as did my dining partner. We also ordered some deep fried green beans. While both of our burgers tasted good and were cooked appropriately, we lamented the small portion of mushrooms on each of our burgers. The green beans were also good, but the order could have been a bit bigger for the price. Overall, it wasn't fancy but the food was good and the service was great. I'm sure we will try it again.

They have several high top tables, and a few booths plus loads of seating around the large bar wrapped area. Giant gravel parking lot that wraps around the building with a decent amount of parking. The bathrooms have been clean the last two times I've used them. Tables have ben wiped down and the bar too quite quickly after customers leave. Service: They have a energetic staff that deal with the busyness as efficiently as they can. Bills have always been accurate and they are really good about grabbing you a drink refill right away when it's empty. Food: I've only had the food here once since the new ownership (also had it once under the previous ownership). The food I had recently was REALLY good, way above what I was expecting. The onion rings had a great batter on them, the onion was buttery on the inside. I had one of my friends side winder fries and DANG those are delicious too. The chicken strips were a little dry but I really enjoy the breading on them, size, and flavor. The cajun dipping sauce was SO good. I can't wait to come back and try more food here, the kitchen staff really knows what they are doing! This is a great meat up spot for friends/family to grab drinks and food.
