We try Evergreen social because a friend recommended it. The food looked really good. We went in. They were very accommodating. We loved the entertainment concept of board games and more to keep your attention. This is a great place for families and friends to gather. We ordered the nachos and wings. I also had the burger. Everything was good we really liked the wings. The cocktails were also spectacular. The expresso martini was great. The customer is great it really felt like home/ comforting. Evergreen Social was indeed an amazing place with a nice tavern themed decor and the bathrooms were clean for the nightly hour we went. We sat the bar and the bartender was friendly and sociable. They had many board games to play unfortunately because we were new to the place we didn't find the games in time before we finished our meal. Now for the food. The drink I had which was a blackberry mule cocktail was devine. It was the perfect balance of liquor and juice. The decor was pretty too. For the food, it was okay but definitely not worth the price they were charging. My guy got the salmon and it was so small in portion and nearly costed close to $30. They gave more vegetables than anything. Then for my food, I had the chicken katsu sandwich and it was nice size but the chicken had no seasoning to it and the chicken thigh was over cooked and tough. The Mac and cheese was cheesy but lacked seasoning as well. I know we have to season our own food but cook the pasta with chicken bouillon cube or stock to give your pasta a little flavor if you aren't going to salt your water with enough salt. Lastly was the loaded tots cooked in beef talow oil. Those were good and probably the only thing I would come back to the restaurant for, alongside their drinks. read more

Wonderful food superb service and fun environment for games and relaxing with friends and family.

This is a cool spot. Upon entering, I was given a tour of the place since it was my first visit, and they explained that it's a game bar - they offer board and card games to play while visiting, and sell many of said games if you want to buy. I saw many types of people visit: solo people working on laptops, groups of friends playing games, and people watching whatever is on TV, soaking up the laid back bar scene. I was the latter, and unfortunately in a hurry to a dealership appointment in an hour. Within that hour, my drink and meal were served and I felt zero rush throughout it all. I ordered a toddy (Fireplace Confessional) recommended by the bartender, and it was a great choice. For a chilly, rainy day, this was nice to sip on. For lunch, I got the turkey burger, and that was very good as well: juicy (hard to do with turkey burgers), had a ton of flavor, and the burger overall was hearty. The fries were a nice accompaniment, but I didn't need them to enjoy the meal. On a weekday, it wasn't busy but I can see it being otherwise in the evening or weekends. read more

I've been waiting for this place to open, I live 3 minutes away. I must say I was a bit disappointed. We arrived and were greeted promptly, we were shown the retail game area, the games for play at the table and a back area where you could grab a drink and continue to play games. We were seated and water was given, about 15 minutes later a gentleman from behind the bar came out to take the table behind ours order, as he was walking away someone reminded him to take our order. He takes the order and 10-15 minutes later we received food. No one asked us about drinks and I really wanted to try the old fashioned, but decided to save my money since no one asked. The food looked good when it arrived. We got 6 jerk wings, they had a little spice but they were luke warm as if they had been waiting to be bought to the table. Brussels sprouts had very good flavor but we're hard. For the mains we had the 1/2 burger with fries and the catfish poboy sandwich both were good and had very good flavor. both were a pretty good size as well. We noticed as other people came in they had an actual server who took drink orders, spoke with them about the menu and gave out HOT TOWELS, none of that was offered to us. Evergreen Park Social Board Game Tavern...at 2855 W 95 Street.....Awesome new EP dining Place! First, my disclaimer. I do not know the owners, or anyone who works there. I heard about it on the EP Podcast and decided to go and support a new EP family owned business. It was awesome, to say the least!! There were families with kids grabbing game boards off the gaming shelve and enjoying themselves as they ate. 20 && 30ish something's were beginning to arrive for easy social game night meeting. I am so happy to see that younger generations now have somewhere to meet and socialize without any crazy pressure, and at the same time parents and grandparents can bring the kids for fresh food and fun. Met some old work friends to eat, socialize and play games. Greeted by Raven, and they went over the gist of the place. You can eat and leave, you can eat and game, you can game and leave, and you can rent private rooms for parties or for more quiet gaming. Also any combination of eat, game, game and eat, drink, etc. food was good, but the tater tots were on the salty side fyi. Friendly staff, decent service. This is the new hangout spot. This is the place where all the business lunches or team building needs to happen. We came for my birthday with a fairly large party of 12 people and all of us left stuffed and with smiling faces. My wife had been previously with friends from work and so she thought it was a great venue for family and like usual my wife was right. Met the owners and they were really awesome too. Service was good even though it was sooo busy in there that night. We were still made to feel like a priority. My burger was great, even though they had just run out of bacon. Really nice addition to the Evergreen park community. Staff is very nice and welcoming. Was always treated fairly and given friendly energy. A wide range of board game to choose from and tons of space to accommodate large groups. Whether it be on the main floor or the large room off to the side. Even if you aren't partaking in any board games the environment is still very embracing for all. There's also a good selection of drinks and beer at the bar with two large screens right above to watch whichever sports game is playing. We had a party for a bunch of rambunctious 10 year olds last week and Byron and AJ were All World. Between all the games and the Minecraft Movie, we had a three hour party without a hitch. The fries vanished instantly, the pizza was devoured, and only some of the mozzarella sticks survived to make it home. The kids were fiends for the root beer, and the adult beverages were quite fine as well. The hardest part was keeping the kids' hands away from the Warhammer 40k figures some very tolerant guys were playing in the big side room. Five stars, will be back. read more

I visited for the first time yesterday for some Age of Sigmar gaming with friends and they even had a custom AoS themed drink menu to order from while we played. Table top Gamers unite, we are welcomed here, and a fun place to play board games with family and watch sports a real tavern 12/10 They do cookie run tournaments too, I'm not into it but they have people coming in from different states for it, so it must be good for business. You can also rent game rooms and it comes with a personal server and DM last time we rented, the staff are also gamers. There's a lot of things for the normies too and they food is not cooked with vegetable oil but beef tallow it's so good my favorite fries and I'm not a junk food person, makes me think why we ever switched to vegetable oil. Nice place to just hang out you don't need to buy anything, which is good because who doesn't need to relearn to socialize after the age that is past. read more

Yesterday was my second visit and I purchased two orders of catfish bites and an order of fries to go. It was around 5pm. I was home in less than 30 minutes and began to eat. The food was still hot. By 1am, I felt like I was dying. I was sweating profusely, shaking with a horrible stomach ache. I almost fainted 2-3 times and knew to get on the floor. I was in the bathroom over an hour. I'm not a doctor but I'd guess I had food poisoning. Needless to say I have an entire order of fish left than I will not consume. read more

In the process of me planning I stopped by and talked to one of the owners Phil to make sure they would be able to accommodate my party of 30. They went above and beyond for my family and I.
