So I just started going to Deka about two months ago and I absolutely love it. I was previously going to a private lash tech and loved her as well but our schedules didn't align and she was too far! Anyways I have now been seeing (3) lash artists at Deka and all of them have blown me away! Super friendly and so knowledgeable on all things " lashes". I've been going to Deka Lash for a while now and have generally had good experiences -- but my recent visits with Abby left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. It's unfortunate, because I genuinely liked how my lashes turned out. That was the only reason I kept booking with her, even as I started picking up on a noticeable shift in her energy. Our conversations used to be friendly, but over the last few appointments, they faded into silence -- not the peaceful kind, but the kind that made me wonder if something was wrong. I actually found myself questioning if I had done something to upset her, or if she just didn't like me. It was subtle, but the change in tone and attitude made the whole experience feel cold and awkward. On top of that, my natural eye reflexes sometimes cause my eyes to twitch a bit during lash application -- something completely out of my control. I always apologized, but Abby made it clear through her reactions that it was a problem for her. She seemed annoyed, and it made me feel like a burden rather than a client. No other lash tech at Deka Lash has ever made me feel that way -- and I've been seen by two others. The final straw came when I was a few minutes late (7 min to be exact) due to my nail appointment next door running over. Abby seemed all too eager to offer to rebook me with someone else, and while her words were polite, her tone and body language felt sarcastic and dismissive -- almost like she was happy to have a reason to not see me. She also implied I'm "always late," which simply isn't true. If I ever am, it's by a minute or two -- and I'm always respectful of everyone's time. Ironically, there was a time I waited for her to finish with a client, and I didn't make a fuss. I fully respect that policies exist for a reason, but I also believe in showing people a little grace. That was completely missing here. As someone who regularly invests in beauty services, I've never had an experience quite like this. It genuinely felt personal -- like she had an issue with me, but instead of addressing it professionally, she let it show in passive, unkind ways. This experience ultimately led me to cancel my Deka Lash membership and go back to supporting small, independent businesses where I feel welcomed. I will start by saying the people who work at the Cibolo location are friendly and helpful and I never had an issue with the staff. My lashes looked good and stayed on. My problem is with the way they do business. There is a centralized call center for scheduling/cancelling appointments. Nothing is done at the actual location. Also, they push the memberships so you get a discounted price. Supposedly, you pay a monthly fee and get two fills monthly included with the membership. However, they use the term "credits"when they talk about spending them for your fills. The day I signed up for the membership, I paid for the membership fee. They told me I could use my first credit for my fill that day. So I did. Then I noticed a charge on my card for the cost of the membership plus the cost of the fill. For the next fill, which was 15 days later, I was told that I only had a partial credit so I was charged for half the cost of the fill. I questioned it was told it had not been two weeks. I corrected the girl and then she said "oh sometimes the months have five weeks and that throws stuff off". In any case, I cancelled my membership. I like the place and the people but the business practice is definitely shady. I have heard more than one person arguing with the staff about the credits and asking why they have to pay out of pocket. read more

So I went and got my lashes done got what I thought was going to be an excellent deal as a first-time customer at $140 plus tip and I know the rules with getting lashes done. You never get them wet within the first 24 hours Woke up the next morning 75% of my lashes were on my pillow. I tried calling to get a hold of the store where I actually got my lashes done which was impossible. I was always sent to the call center. I was told I would get a retouch. I told her I had 75% of my lashes gone, and I was only given a 30 minute touchup. The tech that redid my lashes did the best she could in 30 minutes but I did not get what I paid for. I did not get what I requested and was informed that I would need to come back in a week to pay again for a full set to get what I wanted and paid for the first time I've had my lashes done for years and this was by far one of the worst experiences. You have to get the same service that you paid for with the same tech which causes a problem when the tech that does your lashes is not in for three days and you're only allowed a five day. Period to get them fixed not very conducive to those of us that work full-time read more

Liz Ann is really good. I have been to the other (know) lash places and my lashes can never stay on pass 4 or 5 days (I have very thin and short lashes) but Liz Ann does a great job. My lashes stays on longer (almost two weeks which is better than the rest). I have had my lashes done by all the girls and they are very friendly, great vibe. read more
