I purchased a Daikin ac unit from Gator Air in April of 2022. The first three years were fine, no problems. This year, 2026, a service man has been out 4 times in 3 months. The Daikin unit leaks. Buy a Daikin at your own peril. Also, Gator sold to Del-Air in 2025. Del-Air serviced the unit once in late November 2025. problems ever since. I don't trust Daikin, I don't trust Del-Air, and Gator did their long time customers dirty. I am buying a new ac unit from a trustworthy company this week. Thousands of money down the drain. This business took over Gator Air who installed my new equipment a couple years ago. The services seem to have deteriorated since their takeover markedly. Services contract has a different person show up each time with observable inefficiencies and have noted signs of trying to upsell items, products, services each visit. They don't always have company identification or uniforms. The latest service tech (Paul) took one of my non working Honeywell thermostats off the wall mount away with him to check with his supervisor and they haven't made me aware of the status of this replacement for 2-3 weeks! I called a few times to ask about this and ai computer software told me they would look into it and I have yet to hear back. Today I had a time they approved and scheduled with me to come back to my house and reinstall a replacement thermostat sometime between 8:00am and noon. No one called me and no one showed up! I called the office twice and left two requests to call me back and have yet to hear anything. I pay monthly for a service contract warranty and this is a very unpleasant unprofessional way to operate a business. Ugh. Follow-up. I called the office twice and they have not called or texted me about returning and installation my working thermostat. I don't have much confidence at all in this company and I would give them a zero today, if I could. Value would be very low with them. read more

Total ripoff. Be careful. These people sold an old woman a 5 figure complete air conditioner replacement when, in reality, the condenser drain line was clogged. We figured out what happened when 1 week after the replacement was done, the new system shut completely down again and wouldn't restart, just like the so called "defective" system. Once the drain line was cleared, the system has run ever since. This was listed on the sparse, deceptive "invoice" as a task that had been done upon installation of the new system, but actually hadn't been done. They took advantage of her naïveté. A new handler, top if the line thermostat/controller and a uv "filter" weren't necessary even if the outside compressor would have been bad or vice versa. But in reality, neither was necessary as it was the drain safety switch shutting off the whole system so that your home isn't flooded. They're truly despicable and we're engaging the state AG to go after them because this was so egregious and they're unwilling to provide a real invoice. Shame on this sleazy, ripoff company for blatantly taking advantage of an older woman with little technical expertise. DEFINITELY USE SOMEONE ELSE read more

Our technician at DelAir is Rudolfo. Since Rodolfo has been servicing our Air Conditioner, we have had no problems. He is a master mechanic, courteous and friendly. He explains all the work he is doing and why he is doing it. We have never had a mechanic of any kind know as much as he does. He is a pleasure to be around.. Always smiling. read more

I had them for a service in May when they broke my thermostat and tried to sell me a new one at $650 while leaving my house with the air blowing out at 109 degrees F. I keep hoping they will fix it. It's now August and after DelAir telling me I needed to give them $12,00" for a whole new unit! I called Modern Air, knowing them to be honest, all it took was them checking it and they found that all it needed was refrigerant. It has been cooling very well for 3 days! read more

A condenser fan motor went out on one my units. They inspected the unit and said that they could replace the fan motor for $1,800 but wouldn't be able to get the part until mid-week due to labor day. They claimed the compressor had some damage and that it could go out "tomorrow or 5 years from now" They then actively pushed replacing the whole system (which they could conveniently do the next day) for $20,000+. They also pushed replacing the other system that has no problem with it. I sent them on their way and got a second opinion. The other guys we used said that the compressor has next to no damage and that they would charge $800 to replace the broken condenser fan motor (less than half the price Del-Air gave me). Bottom line, don't use these guys- they prey upon their clients to maximize profits. read more

I signed up for their maintenance service and after the 1st service realized they were ripping me off. During the maintenance they opened the HVAC unit looked around and told me I had some biological growth. They did nothing for that but told me to buy their cleaning service. I mentioned it to someone I met who is a manager at a different HVAC company and he said that while the tech had the unit opened they could have just whipped that area down at least. Del-air then looked at my vents and said I should replace the Airducts at a $17k price tag but if I bought it right on the spot it would be $14k. When I told them I needed time to think about it they said the $14k price plus only good for that day. They also attempted to sell me a UV light for $2k which I then purchased from another company for $400. I also had my Airducts inspected by a NACDA certified company and they said my Airducts were in great shape no need to replace. So Del-Air was making recommendations on the Airducts without being NACDA certified and not knowing what they were talking about. I would never use DEL-Air again and I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

They showed up same day, which was nice, HVAC still worked so had no urgency on our end though. Del- Air came to our home to look at a pool house mini split A/C unit & quoted us 9500.00 to replace the unit which was their recommendation. They also left the workspace a complete mess which I wish we had taken pictures of to share the complete disregard for our space. We called EC Waters, a highly reputable local company that came out and quoted 3900.00 for the same unit & work. If this isn't the most prime example of price gouging I don't what is. We have a call in to their supervisor and plan to escalate our concern w/ state organizations. Sadly, AVOID this company! read more

We just moved into a newly constructed home. Del Air installed the zoned HVAC units. They were mixed up--the upstairs thermostat was controlling the downstairs blowers and vice versa. They've been out twice over the last week and a half. I've had to call them each time since crews didn't show up when they said they would. Meanwhile, it's hot. Not a single supervisor had called me to explain what the plan for addressing the problem is. In other words, they effed up the install, and instead of sending the right crew with the right tools to fix the problem they caused, I'm left dangling. We certainly won't be dealing with them for a maintenance contract. read more

Del Air installed our entire HVAC system when our house was built 3 years ago. Our son and his family came down for a week long visit. When they arrived, the house was over 80 degrees. With a forecast temperature in the low to mid 90's. He called me and I suggested he call Del Air. He did. Explained the situation to them, including that he had an infant in the house. Del Air told him the May be able to work him in to their schedule in 6 days. Del Air installs all the HVAC systems in our development. And their trucks are in our neighborhood every day. We called another service provider, Beach Service. They were booked up as well. But when they heard there was an infant in the house, they worked us in. And a few hours later, our son's family were cool and comfortable. We will never call Del Air again. We are telling all our neighbors about our disappointing experience. I wish our builder would use someone else. read more

This is hands down the worst AC company I have ever dealt with. The technicians that have come to service my AC have all been sub par. Not one of them knew what they were doing. All they did was twiddle their thumbs and say "well maybe this is the issue" or "it could be something else". None of them ever fixed anything. The icing on the cake my AC stopped working yesterday and they told me that I couldn't get on the schedule for two days!!! Excuse me?!? I live in Florida and it's August!! I'm supposed to stay in a house with my German Shepherd with NO AIR CONDITIONING?!?! They also lied to me and told me that I couldn't have anyone else service my unit or it would negate my warranty with them so I'm stuck with them!!!! Del-air installed our air conditioner in our townhome when it was built 3 years ago. Our unit shut off due to the sensor being tripped for the condensation. Del-air came out (late) and proceeded to tell us we just needed our line blown out from build up. After talking me in to joining the "club" the repairman started to dive deeper into servicing the unit. He then informed us all of the sudden we had a leak in the Freon and had a bad switch of some sort to which he didn't have the part and would need to reschedule for another day. Credit to my husband who talked to a supervisor and said we needed them back out ASAP. They also told my husband that it would be 997.00 to fix the unit. We asked for an itemized bill for a breakdown and we were told it was a flat rate. Upon their return the service man scraped 2 of my walls which I will have to now repaint and left behind a piece of equipment. 3 nights later we noticed water dripping from a vent in our ceiling to which we discovered the drip pan was filled and overflowing. We bailed out almost 2-5 gallon buckets of water. We had water spots on our ceiling and wet carpet. So basically our unit worked better before Del-Air touched it. At least the sensors worked before to shut the unit down to keep from water leaking. We are out a grand and in worse shape! We would not recommend using them!!! read more

AGAIN FOR THE 11th TIME, I have had to call Delair due to my AC not cooling. Brand new unit has not worked right since day one in my new home. I have been dealing with this issue for 4.5 years. Every 6 months or so, it stops cooling. I have had 2 coils replaced and several leaks fixed. NOTHING IS WORKING, I am beyond frustrated. BUYERS BEWARE!! Either they sell crappy AC units, don't know how to fix or install them or they are just plain incompetent. FIX THE UNIT OR REPLACE IT!!!! It's simple. I will be contacting the BBB and let everyone know my ongoing issues with Delair and it's products!! read more

I've never written a yelp review before. I felt like I needed to do it for this company. i'm giving them zero stars. I received the poorest level of customer service one could imagine. A technician came to my house and said there was nothing wrong with my air conditioning even though my daughters room was 82° at 12:15 AM. When the thermostat was set on 76. He charge me $80. I had two other heating and cooling technicians come by from other companies and they told me the problem. When I called the technician's manager at Del Air, I was ignored for weeks. I was also ignored by higher level managers when I voiced my concerns. It makes me upset even thinking about it. I really hope if you're looking for heating and cooling company you will consider my review and not go with Del Air. read more

Worst HVAC company! They did an installation in my house without a permit, and got fined ($314) by the city of Sarasota. Two months later the unit broke down. Five months later, I still couldn't get a final inspection from the city of Sarasota because Del-Air's liability insurance had expired. My three emails to management to update their paperwork didn't work, so finally a phone call from City of Sarasota got their attention. The worst part is they insisted I pay for the work without inspection. They even got a collection agency after me. I was able to prove all of their lies, deceit and unethical practices, so the collection agency mediated our dispute. Don't use them you will regret it. This a pattern for this company. This company installed the air conditioning in the house that we are living in as it was being built. I stayed with them for two years until I found a better deal with another firm. They sold us on an additional feature of a blue light and installed it in the wrong place. It was eating up air filters as a result. They were trying to sell us on a high priced air filter that we didn't need and their prices for a maintenance contract are almost twice what I am paying now. I was unaware of things I needed to do as far as the warranty with the manufacturer to make it last longer from 5 to 10 years. They could have helped me with that. I am much better satisfied with my current contractor. I do not recommend these people. read more

Heads up everyone this is a company that wants to gouge you big time. We had used them for several years on all of our New & used AC needs.We built our home 4 years ago and have a contract to have our units ( as in 2) to have them serviced every 6 months. 2 years into our home they told us we had a problem & it was going to cost us because the part was under warranty but the labor was not. I produced a coupon from their company for $250.00 off ALL parts labor etc. The tech argued with me and said it was not valid. Seriously, the coupon said ALL . Well after a few calls they honored it. So last week ( Tuesday ) we had a 6 months service check up. We pay $250.00 a year for a twice a year check up. We supply the filters. The tech said " he thinks we have a leak but it would be $135.00 to diagnose it. We said ok. A few minutes later he said we had one.. The tech said he would go back to office & check on the part and warranty. They called later to say the part was under warranty. Remember it's 4 years old, but the labor was......... $950.00. We were shocked. My husband asked to speak with a company representative. She said she would have someone call us. Today's Friday. Not a call...... We called another company and he was able to diagnose within minutes that we do have a leak and it is under warranty and the cost is $450.00 and he's replacing it the pan underneath the unit. We have 4 AC units of our own..Del Air will not be used . And by the way DeL Air,,, you know the organization we have referred you to. We have told them not, not to use you. read more

Del Air installed the a/c unit in our new house 7 months ago. Last night (Monday) it stopped working and I called the emergency number twice and nobody bothered to call back. So I called when they opened at 8am on Tuesday and was told "our first available is Thursday, nothing else we can do". It is 95 degrees with 90% humidity, my air conditioner is not functional and it is still under warrantee from this company. But now I have to pay a different company to come out to fix my A/C that Del Air should have fixed last night under warrantee. Don't use Del Air because they don't stand behind their products, their work, and if anything goes wrong you will get heat stroke before they will come and take care of their warrantee work. read more

Del Air is probably the worst company for Hvac that a person could get. We bought in Neal Communities early in 2014, bought a new house in Grand Palm, where this unit was installed. We were told by Del Air that in order to maintain the Warranty that we had to have the unit serviced every six months, which we have done from the beginning. This is where it begins. After a couple of services we learn that the plenum wasn't installed properly and that we had a "microbe problem". And so I talked with a "District manager" who was rude. Anyway they had to rebuild the Plenum. So a couple of services later the service rep came, after he left the unit did not cool properly. Called the company, they sent a "Senior tech" who added more Freon and charged me $45 more dollars, a day after service. So it gets better, now the service agreement is supposed to cover the warranty!! But the next service it is determined that the bearing is bad in the blower after I complained about the noise. And besides the coil is rotting out and.should be replaced. Sooooo, I requested both be replaced as we had a service agreement. I was told it would cost $1300 for labor and that the parts were covered, and this included miscellaneous items, the tech was here for 4Hrs. and soldered the coil in. $1300. Now the heat pump doesn't work. 4.5 years old. Neal Communities needs to find a different company for installs. I will contact the state attorney generals office about Del Airs business practices, I believe this may be criminal activity on their part. read more

I am writing to express my frustrations with Del-Air. For the past 2 months my husband and I have tried to make a service call to repair our A/C unit and have encountered poor customer service (from the schedulers to the dispatch). We live in Florida where the summers are brutal and when your children are sleeping very uncomfortable at night in the heat, its very frustrating. We've asked for someone to contact us to schedule an appointment (no one has called). I've called numerous times to speak to someone and after holding for 10 minutes I finally get a live person, then they tell you "We'll have someone call you back" and they don't is ludicrous. I'm beyond livid. The last technician that came out said we had a leak in our unit and there was no more Freon, but he couldn't find the leak....I'm confused, I thought you all had certified technicians. Surely in all the years that you've been in business, we're not the only ones with this problem, so why can't this be fixed? After our warranty is up, we will be pursuing other A/C companies for their business. Del-Air website says 24/7 service, over 400 trucks to service you....(??) then why can't we get someone to call us back to schedule an appointment and why is it taking so long to get someone to service our A/C unit?? unbelievable read more
