The price to trim the entire large tree in front of my house was comparable to other estimates but he also offered to take the branches we have left on the side of our yard and fix the shotty job we did on our smaller tree. I think with the extras, the price was great and I needed it done soon so I scheduled a trim on Saturday. The team came at 1:00pm, confirmed what we wanted and they were finished by 4:30pm. I saw a huge difference. They did an awesome job giving my large tree a haircut all around and made my smaller tree look neater. No more branches overhanging the roof and a clear sky view. They had a huge chipper that ate all of the branches with ease. The team even did a great job cleaning up the area. No excessive leaves on my lawn or the pavement. You couldn't tell that they were even there. The final price was the same as the estimate and they listened to what we wanted and followed through. I am very happy with the job they did and would definitely give them a call when my trees get overgrown, or when I'm ready to remove either tree completely.

They also spent the last hour cleaning up, which took longer than it should have because the worker stationed at the wood chipper was on his phone much of the day. In total, we were charged for a full day but received about 6.5 hours of work, including the hour of cleanup and the time spent sorting out the plan. I contacted this company to get an estimate for tree work on my property. My first impressions were…read morequite positive: the estimator arrived early, texted me to inform me of his arrival, and provided thoughtful feedback regarding the work we needed to have done as we walked around the property. He informed me that a detailed estimate would be sent to me via text message later in the day/week and just as promised, I received it within hours after his departure. So what went wrong? Lack of follow through. I replied to the initial estimate indicating that I would need time to review the bid and would get back to him shortly. I received no reply, but that's OK as a reply to such a message is not necessary. After reviewing the estimate, I followed up with several questions, but never heard back. This is not OK as it prohibits us from moving forward. It is not clear to me why a company would take the time to provide an estimate if they are not willing to follow up with their customers. It is a waste of their time and the customer's, does not reflect well upon the company, and results in the loss of future referrals. If the company is too busy, would much rather have them state that they are inundated with jobs at the moment and cannot take on additional contracts until xx weeks or months rather than taking my time for a useless estimate. In the end, a different company provided an estimate later in the week and was hired for the job instead.

Yes, I am paying more than I was, but feel the value is there for sure. Del Cid gave me one of the most reasonable quotes I received from 6 companies. They scheduled with me quickly and easily and communication was fantastic! Their team worked all day trimming very large overgrown trees on my property (in the end we agreed to a price to cut one of them down completely as a safety precaution for future storms). My trees look healthy and happy now and they did an amazing job cleaning up after, even hauling away some branches we had cut down ourselves. We will use Del Cid again in the future and would recommend them to anyone we know! read more

We got three tree care quotes, and ended up choosing Jesus (the owner of this company), even though his was the highest bid. The main reason was Jesus, who grew up learning from his dad Jose (a long-time tree care crew of a different tree service company). Jesus clearly cared a lot about the trees (e.g., making sure the trimming project would leave the trees healthy), while understanding our needs. So, he suggested changes to some of the limbs and locations of the cut I had envisioned, and explained why. I also liked the fact that he and his dad, along with a few other crew members, would be working on this project. Time line: Originally, I had left a voice mail (Tue), he called back the following day (Wed) to arrange a visit in two days (Fri). On Friday, he gave a verbal quote. I informed him of our decision to go with him the next day (Sat). He emailed a written contract on Monday, and they came early that afternoon to complete the project. We are very happy with the result, and will follow up with his suggestion on maintenance work in a year or so.
