Tim was a really sweet guy. He let me finance my Miata with half down payment of the price. I honestly love my little car. Its a 15 yr old car so i exepected it to have some few down problems but at the end im happy to have my miata. Thank you !

Just bought my 2014 Hyundai Veloster from Tim at Del Mar. I had originally went to Los Angeles to buy a similar car that had been sold before I reached. I was determined to get a car and called Del Mar to check out the Hyundai, that they had lowered the price on. Tim was quick getting me all the info I needed, we negotiated over the phone. He gave me an amazing price that was too good to be true. I told him I'd be there soon and he stayed open for me. I test drove the car and loved it instantly. Within 45 minutes I was out the door. He told me he would look for the spare key and call me, he called within 10mins. Unfortunately, on the way home my battery died when I went to the gas station BUT Tim apologized and explained the car had been sitting for a while and that he's make it right. ( I bought my car cash so I wasn't expecting him to do much at all, honestly) but Tim went above and beyond and purchased my battery over the phone at O'Reilly'a and made sure I was sure i was squared away! My car is amazing and feels brand new. He was honest about me needing an oil change, honest about the price and did not haggle me. I can't believe he bought me a battery. Much appreciated. Highly recommend!!! Here's pics of my new baby which he had washed and clean for me.

Our new car thanks to Del Mar Auto!
    Just Cozy ..

My husband and I recently purchased a 2003 sonoma from Del Mar Auto, and we couldn't be more satisfied with our purchase! Tim was polite and professional and willing to work with us! We got a great deal on a great one owner car with low mileage. All the cars on this lot are well maintained and beautifully detailed. We will definitely be a repeat customer. He also has a wide range of vehicles to choose from! Tim was very accommodating before the purchase as well waiting after hours on the lot for us just to come and look at the car on mother's day! Overall we could not be happier with the service we received here, and would recommend Del Mar Auto to anyone looking to purchase a used car in excellent condition at a great price!

Stopped in basically browsing from traffic.. I walked up and was met by a guy who appear pretty pre occupied with the business of starting his day of getting his cars to go. I looked at all the cars and found two I really liked..I came back two days later based on the research I was able to conduct from the info he gave me on both cars..I really felt no pinch in my decision making process ..no rush and a sense of welcome from my initial arrival. I was able to get a damn reliable 2003 xj8 from Tim..the process of the sale itself was easy and when it was time for him to work with me on those small give/takes..he was fair.

The car needed an oxygen sensor which wasn't covered under the warranty but Tim took care of the bill anyways.

I wanted to provide an update to my previous review because I believe it's just as important to…read morerecognize when a business responds appropriately to a concern. After my original review, I reached out directly to General Manager George Boktor to explain what had happened. He personally reviewed my situation and determined that the issue was caused by a system error rather than the actual terms of my prepaid maintenance agreement. He confirmed that the maintenance package I purchased was intended to become effective after my complimentary ToyotaCare coverage expired, exactly as it had been explained to me when I purchased my RAV4 XSE Hybrid. George apologized for the confusion, acknowledged the issue, and let me know the dealership is correcting the maintenance contract in their system so that it accurately reflects the agreement I purchased. The initial confusion was frustrating, but I appreciate that management took the time to investigate the issue and work toward a resolution. It's only fair to acknowledge that level of accountability and customer service, and I look forward to continuing to have my vehicle serviced at Culver City Toyota. I've yet to receive confirmation that the system has been updated but I am hopeful it will be resolved by my next maintenance visit.

Four visits. Five months. One loose USB port. Still broken…read more I want to be clear up front about how simple this problem is, because that's what makes Culver City Toyota's service department so damning. Our 2023 RAV4 Prime has a loose USB plate -- the wired connection that runs CarPlay. Plug in, and the audio crackles and the power cuts out while you're driving. Bluetooth works fine. It's the dash USB connection, and it's obvious. We demonstrated it on a test drive on day one, using different cables and different phones to rule those out. The rep saw it, acknowledged it, and wrote it down. Then they spent five months not fixing it. VISIT 1 -- April 9, 2026, 10am. Rep: Adam Nadler. Replicated the defect with Adam on a test drive; he noted it. Told a couple of hours. Five hours later: no call, no text. We call, sit on hold 15 minutes, and Adam says "oh, your car's been ready." Did you replace the USB plate? "Yes." We're barely off the lot before it reappears -- same loose connection, plate obviously never touched. We call back and Adam, now dismissive, claims "we weren't able to replicate the problem." Five hours, and they did nothing to the one issue we came in for. VISIT 2 -- May 20, 2026, 8am. Rep: Adam again, despite my asking for someone else. He opens with "have you tried a different cable?" -- the exact thing we tested with him on April 9. I explain again that Bluetooth CarPlay is fine and the wired USB connection cuts out while the car's moving. "We'll test it. Ready at 11." Noon comes and goes, no update. The front counter has no information and pages Adam, who's at lunch until 12:30. He offers an Uber; after 4.5 hours I take it. I call at 2pm, hold 10 minutes, and learn they now want to replace the screen -- which they don't have in stock. Did you check the USB port while driving? "The USB port is fine." Another lie. VISIT 3 -- May 29, 2026, 10am. New rep: Sam Bond, finally someone less dismissive. In for the screen replacement, the technicians' theory for the cutting-out. Told three hours; take the Uber. Five hours, no contact. We call; they can't find Sam, but "the car's ready." Within minutes of driving off with the new screen: identical problem. This is when we start calling Toyota US directly to file a formal complaint -- and when I notice Culver City Toyota sits at 2.9 stars across 2,000+ reviews. We call Sam, who says he'll order the USB part. The part we flagged on April 9. VISIT 4 -- August 6, 2026, 7am. My wife brings it in after Sam confirms the USB plate finally arrived -- what we hoped was the last trip for a five-minute fix. Zero communication, as always. Six and a half hours later she calls and it's "ready." Sam tells her "some of the cables we tested worked, but not the long one." He also mentions he "needs to check on the warranty" -- coverage we were told applied, since this started four months and 5,000 miles ago while the car was under warranty. Next day I drive it: same loose plate, same crackle, same CarPlay dropping out, across multiple cables. The verdict. This is, without exaggeration, the most frustrating experience I've had with an auto shop in my life -- and I've dealt with dozens. Four visits, five months, a simple and repeatedly demonstrated defect, and a certified dealership from the highest-rated manufacturer in the world couldn't fix it -- or wouldn't be honest about not fixing it. The 2.9 rating is generous. If Yelp allowed zero stars, that's what this would be.

Culver City has grown a lot over the years, but the dealership feels left behind. Upon my first visit years ago, I asked to see an Accord, and was shown Civic after Civic after Civic, with the salesman pressuring me to test drive one. I kept telling him a Civic was too small for me, and it took him showing me three Civics to finally show me an Accord, at which point he lost interest in helping me. Years later (just a few months ago) I was in a lemon of a vehicle of another brand, so I came in looking for help rolling over into a new lease. With my negative equity, the payments were far too high (with the payments exceeding another Honda dealer by a few hundred dollars for the same exact car with the same negative equity). When I expressed this and told them I'd have to do what I could do make up the negative equity first, one of the managers came over and told me I should buy the vehicle then do a voluntary repossession then get into a new vehicle at the price I wanted to help cancel out the negative equity. That alone is enough to make me not trust these guys. Unfortunately, I won't be back.

A new beginning for CC Chevrolet?…read more We bought a new Corvette here a month ago, and while the initial experience was good the follow up was as bad as the other reviews here. The car needed a few minor things, and our sales rep told us to just call or text and he'd arrange it, but he never responded to literally 10+ calls, and neither did the sales manager. Reading all the negative reviews here didn't help, and after two weeks of being ignored I took the car in. My plan was to get some assistance or just leave it there, Uber home, and call my lawyer. Long story short, after waiting through a dealership-wide meeting, our sales rep came out full of apologies and got to work. Turns out he'd been having health issues and VA issues (he's a vet) and the day I come in was the first day for a new General Manager (hence the meeting), who was there to kick some butt, which he did. I actually met with the GM and he also apologized for our poor experience, and then he laid out how they would solve all our open issues, and then they did. All of it! A huge contrast to the previous two weeks, and I have no reason to doubt that they will continue this way. Sure made me feel better about them being our dealership! BTW, our rep was Edwin, and if you need a Chevy or, better yet, a Corvette (who doesn't need a Corvette? ) go see him and tell him Karen & Richard sent you. I'm confident he and the rest of them will take good care of you!

Dennis Buys Classic Cars isn't just a dealership -- it's a time machine parked on Venice Boulevard. You'll see a rotating cast of American icons lined up like they're waiting for a casting call: Mustangs, Chevelles, GTOs, the occasional Corvette looking smug in the corner. I stopped in to take a peek at a Camaro, but it was already gone -- proof that around here, blink once and history drives off without you. Still, the staff were friendly, the lot spotless, and every car looked like it had just rolled out of a 1970s postcard. Venice Boulevard has been part of L.A.'s motoring heartbeat since the early days of the Route 66 era, when every block had a garage or gas station and every mechanic thought he was tuning a car for Steve McQueen. Dennis keeps that spirit alive -- no gimmicks, no soulless SUVs, just old-school machines with character, grease, and stories baked into the metal. Dennis Buys Classic Cars is pure Los Angeles gold -- a dealership that feels more like a museum you can actually drive home from. The Camaro slipped away this time, but that's okay. Dennis' response was "sorry, but we can't check the cars." That was just start of problems. Turns out, both the horn and the windshield wipers didn't work. It's a state law that they work but that didn't stop them from selling the car. I guess rules don't matter to them. To their credit, they did fix the problem but it took 6 months. I live in Ventura County. They are in Culver City. It's 1.5 hours one way. It took me 6 trips to finally get everything fixed. That's 3 hours plus the time I waited while they didn't fix the problem. Dennis told me "I'll take care of it for you. I'll get you some compensation." Well, Dennis figured that my 30 hours of time and gas was worth - wait for it - $100. Deduct the $70 in gas that I paid and Dennis thought $1 an hour was worth my time. But wait, there's more. I never got the money. They said the "check is in the mail." That was over a month ago.
