With a loved one in Memory Care, family has the ability to visit daily. With a perfect location in Pacific Grove, you can go on small adventures such as a drive to Big Sur or out to Bechler's for lunch and yet know your loved one is safe at night when you return with her to the Village. My dear Mother-in-law spent the last seven months of her life here; assisted living at first and then in Memory Care for more "eyes on" care. Having a loved one in AL and MC is never easy for the family nor for the patient but Del Monte was an excellent choice for us and we highly recommend this facility. I went to pick up my Mother in Law on Christmas morning and the owner, Kay, who is a nurse, was gently and efficiently making sure my MIL was fed and dressed appropriately. Of course, Kay was giving her staff time off. As a business owner, she doesn't shy away from working very hard. Kay and her capable husband Matt are new owners and they sincerely care about their facility and their clients.
Normally my MIL would be with wonderful Lucy, Yessica, Jo, Gloria or Loria to name a few of the well trained and caring staff. It was a joy to drop in and hear the latest news about my MIL told with a sense of humor and to keep track of the entertaining events in their lives at Del Monte Village. read more
