Wanted to try something new and this was right next to costco. We went at 5pm so it might not be their busy time but it was fairly empty, so no need to make a reservation if you're worried about that. Also there was no music playing or anything so the emptiness of the place really made our conversation echo. The waitress who was also the hostess was very nice and helpful as we decided what we wanted to order. After being seated we were given bread which was paired with regular olive oil and vinegar, which was odd to me because normally if it's olive oil at least it's like mixed with something like garlic or butter. I ordered the cinnamon maple old fashioned and arancini to start and these items really wowed me. The old fashioned had an ice sphere with bits of fruit that definitely enhanced my appreciation of the drink. The arancini appetizer was also very good, especially with the basil pesto, and there was enough to share. For dinner I had the cacio pepe al funghi with a breaded chicken add-on. The chicken itself was good but I didn't realize how thin it would be so that was kind of disappointing. Pappardelle is also a very filling noodle, and normally cacio e pepe comes with a thinner noodle like spaghetti or tonnarelli, but it was good. While I didn't order the chicken marsala I did also try it and they did a great job with the sauce! Compared to the chicken I got though, the marsala chicken was a lot tougher, almost like a well done steak. Food quality / price (value) rating 8.5. The atmosphere is contemporary Italian neo-industrial. We stopped in to get an entree for the wife, and dessert for me, and we sat at the bar. The wife had the Pasta Primavera. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the dish had a light blend pf vegetables with plenty of parsley. It was very good, but it wasn't very hot. I had a Keoke Coffee and their NY Cheesecake. Both were okay. They have a very nice outdoor seating area, with several seats in a ahaded area. Service was very good. Stopped by Del Primo for the first time for happy hour! They have a large list of food and drink specials. We tried lemon drop cocktails which were a generous pour and tasty! The fried mozz was crispy and well seasoned. We finished the meal with the cacio e pepe al funghi. The pasta tasted fresh and the truffle oil added the perfect touch. This was my husband and I's first time trying Del Primo. The hostess gave us a very nice greeting. I normally despise crab cakes but my husband really wanted to try them. I am so happy I gave the crab cakes I try they were Amazing! The aioli had a nice little kick and was so good and creamy. For dinner my husband had the U-10 Scallops which he enjoyed were just not sure why it was missing the bacon and snap peas. The picture in this review was when our food first came to the table so those two portions of the meals were missing. Since our waiter was so friendly my husband just went with it. My husband enjoyed his scallops. My dinner was chicken parm cooked nicely and came with penne. Penne is not my favorite pasta but I could tell it was homemade. I wish there was an additional option for pasta. I forgot to get a pic but I ended the night with one of my fav desserts Tartufo. A friend recommended this new restaurant for dinner. It's a very nice place for dinner and opened during COVID. Heard from one of the staff that it was supposed to have opened on March 13th and due to COVID it was closed. Nice area in the little strip mall and plenty of parking given retail spaces are still to be rented. Service and staff were great. Was able to make same day reservations for indoor dining...outdoor dining reservations were already full. Tables were space out indoors and outdoors. There are heat lamps for the outdoor diners. Complimentary bread with butter...bread use some heating up as it crumbles as one tries to spread butter on it. Fall Drink specials - Honey I'm Home was good...Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey with apple cider, lemon and ground cinnamon. Appetizers: Shared crab cakes and calamari. Entrees: lobster with fettucine fra diavolo was good but a little spicy (sauce was spicy), shrimp scampi over linguni, lemon chicken in white wine sauce (pollo martini), and chicken parm were all good. Came for happy hour with a few friends. We wanted to try the martini flights, which were very cute and all tasted great. We were able to get a few happy hour apps, which were all well priced ($5). We tried the Arancini, truffle fries, and mozzarella en carrozza. We had some entrees on top of that as well. I got the penne vodka. One of the most insane and unhinged dining experiences I've ever had the privilege to encounter. I feel so bad for the workers, so clearly understaffed but so kind. The food was impressively mediocre. Fried calamari was overdone, Caesar salad lacked in dressing while being obscenely cheesy and wilted. This past weekend we hosted a rehearsal dinner for about 25 guests. Mickey was an absolute pleasure to work with. The party room was large and comfortable for all to walk around. We had the pool table set up, so the groom and his 3 brothers had fun playing! The food was excellent and the portions were substantial. The waiter was attentive to all our guests needs and was exceptionally thoughtful to one guest who had food restrictions due to a health issue. He went above and beyond to be sure our guest had plenty to eat and was comfortable. My friend and I ate lunch here the other day and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We were the only ones in the restaurant so the service was exceptional. Our server Nicole was helpful, friendly and kind. I had the tomato and corn salad with salmon and it was fabulous! My friend had the Pollo Pacino and loved it. There is still a lot of outdoor seating, but you can tell that people are ready to get back to pre-Covid activities. This restaurant had the strangest vibe of any I've ever visited. 3 stars because the staff were very nice and seemed pretty strung out, with only 2 people rushing back and forth between seating, serving and taking orders. The interior ambience was incredibly confusing, everything was gray and harshly lit, save for two very interestingly selected pop-art pieces on the walls that felt super out of place. I can ignore the HVAC pipes hanging above the dining area because I get only being able to do so much with a space, but the whole thing was strangely reminiscent of a high-school cafeteria that had been dressed up for a dance. There were 5 of us in our party, and after ordering a single appetizer between us, after half an hour the waitress returned to ask if we were all set, to which we replied that we were very much eager to order. Her response was "We thought you guys weren't hungry" ??? Confusing but no ill wishes to her, maybe there was some miscommunication. We got our drinks and meals about 20 minutes later. Our margaritas were half off, as part of a Thursday deal, but the only indication of this offer was on a sign in the bathroom, which was a little weird. The food was okay, nothing really special. You'd think it impossible to mess up a caesar salad, but the leaves were not only brown and wilted, it also had zero dressing, and was instead coated in an absurd amount of cheese. When we did call them over in an attempt to get some dressing, we received a ramakin full of clearly spoiled dressing that had completely separated into oil and mush. The penne a la vodka was just okay. For a 20$ plate, I really expected better, and I couldn't finish more than 1/3 despite it being my favorite simple Italian dish. We all still had a great time, mostly propelled by how laughably strange the entire experience was. There's more I could say, but I don't want to give this place a bad rap- maybe we just came in on a bad night. Props to the workers, who were very clearly struggling to keep every table covered, and were very kind about everything. I doubt we will return, there are plenty of better Italian spots in Brookfield with much more appropriate pricing in regards to quality, but best of luck to Del Primo. read more

My family and I were in this area and decided this was the place for dinner as There were 4.5 stars on yelp. We called and made a reservation as we have found it sometimes difficult to just walk into a restaurant and be seated. When we arrived there was no one at the hostess stand. We walked in and a confused looking bartender scrambled to try and find someone to seat us. I immediately ordered muscles as an appetizer, a beer and my wife asked for a wine recommendation. I said what do you boys want to drink and instead of taking my kids drink order the waiter walked away. The hostess came over and was unable to give a wine recommendation, then two more people that also couldn't give a recommendation. Finally someone arrived at the table 10 minutes later, gave a recommendation to my wife but still did not take my kids drink order. It took 30-35 minutes to get a beer and glass of wine, at about 40 minutes the muscles came out. They were two tiny plates, most restaurants the muscles are about 1/2 lb to 3/4 of a pound. These had 12 muscles in each plate. At an hour dinner arrived, its worthy to say there are basically no gluten free options and the chef is completely unwilling to adjust any dish to be gluten free. I read a review on yelp were a person raved about the gluten free options. Not sure if the menu has been changed since or if new staff was hired thats i knowledgeable but we found a total of 2 gluten free options in addition to salad. Because of this my wife settled for salmon. It was obviously a piece of fish from an individual freezer pack and the red flag it was about to be terribly bad was the smothering of hallendais sauce on the fish and mushy asparagus made the dish disgusting. My order was the skirt steak with hummus and what appeared to be couscous. The second the plate touched the table i picked it up and handed it back to the waiter. I had ordered this medium well, the steak was literally raw with the edge seared. It looked like it had been pulled out of a grocery store package and tossed on a heated surface. In the past 30 years I literally have never sent a plate of food back. Once it arrived back the meat was cooked to death, barely edible but at this point I just ate it because I knew if I said anything more I probably would not be the best example to my kids. So for that I just shut up and ate. My sons ordered the Bolognese and the clams. For one the bolognese looked like it came from a can. My son who is 15 and eats anything said it was gross. The other plate of pasta looked like pasta + no sauce + steamed clams. Neither finished even 1/2 their food. My wife and I each had two drinks so this added to the bill however this dinner was not a $200 dinner, it was more like food from the mall, actually now that I typed that I think the food court at the mall would have been a higher quality. When we got home I made us something to eat, and the next day my wife made pasta to make up for the boys lackluster dinner the night before. 4.5 stars? im not sure how this place has that, could they have had a very off night? By the lack of service and the absolutely terribleness of the food I would think not. I wish I took a picture of the food but unfortunately I was crawling out of my skin angry and didnt because I was trying not to yell and cause a scene. My recommendation is not to eat here. Del Primo caught my eye due to the gluten free options on the menu! I ordered the caprese salad as a starter and a special entree of the shrimp scampi with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes. It's rare that GF items leave you full and satisfied, and this meal did not disappoint. For dessert, they also have a special gluten free lava which was extremely moist, and it was nice to have a GF option. The decor inside was modern, clean and the service was perfect. This place is the real deal. Delicious, contemporary Italian food in a sleek and modern setting. The menu is quite extensive, with plenty of choices, and everything I tried was fantastic, especially the stuffed clams and the short ribs. So good. It was clear they were taking COVID precautions seriously...all the staff was wearing masks and gloves, and were making sure socially distanced diners were following the guidelines, too. Not a great experience, honestly. The staff was very nice and accommodating but the food was just ok. My husbands shrimp "fra diavolo" was borderline inedible. I have NEVER seen my husband not finish a pasta dish. Ever. E-VERRRRR! You simply can not enjoy this dish. Not to mention it was $33 for noddles, a few teenie tiny baby shrimp, and . We have been to this restaurant 4 times for lunch and all were good experiences. We attended a planned get together for 24 people for Happy Hour. There was 1 waiter assigned,, there was no requested water, a long wait for initial drink order and then a very long wait for food. Food came out sporadically , seemed to be based on what you ordered. The quality of the food was poor, the steak sandwich was a like rubber, a PLT was slathered in a mayo based sauce, it was just puddling, could not eat it at all and told the waiter that. These guys nailed it! First time order but won't be the last and I look forward to dining in when that day comes. Ordered via phone yesterday. It was easy, the woman was very pleasant and I was confident my order was captured correctly. The takeout operation was impressive. I pulled up, someone came out and got my name, and two minutes later we were on our way. Classy packaging, nice presentation. Very impressed. We tried several things, it was all delicious. Our picky 8-year-old ate all of her food and tried all of ours and loved it. Buccatini Bolognese, Double Veal Chop, Arrancini, Fried Mozz, etc etc - all beautifully presented and delicious. Del Primos is a home run and will be very successful. And to Nicole W. with her crappy review, get a grip. Opening a restaurant is a huge risk. Doing it during a pandemic is almost unbelievable. Perhaps there was an issue with your food but under these circumstances, a decent person would cut them some slack. Find some decency and give them another shot. Better yet, call the owner, explain what was wrong and give him a chance to fix it. You Cleary have some anger issues that you should probably address. read more

I was so excited to try this new restaurant in town. Brookfield needs more variety and the menu looked wonderful. We made a reservation for 7:15 for four. Included two kids and we asked to sit outside. We were shown a wonderful table and enjoyed the atmosphere. We ordered one app and our meals. Our meals did not come for an hour and a half. Our waitress told us the kitchen was backed up. My entree was good. I had the chicken parm. My wife's dish tasted like soap. Mostly the mashed potatoes. We told the waitress and she told the kitchen. We let the waitress know our displeasure and nothing was offered for the wait and we weren't even offered some more potatoes. I hope management reads this review and makes changes because they will not survive in this environment without them. read more

Honestly, I don't even know where to start. My boyfriend and I originally went here one day for brunch. Service was great along with the food. We now go here almost every Friday and usually sit at the bar. Julia and Alyssa are absolute gems. Some of the most personable, sweetest and best bartenders I've met in my life. And I've been to a lot of bars! The few times we've sat at a table, Mira has been our waitress and she's also wonderful! We have never had an issue with the staff or service. The food is always good when we go. Since we're there often, we try and switch it up and try different things on the menu. Almost everything we've tried we thoroughly enjoyed. The veal was tender. The sauce was smooth and not broken. For mushrooms they used shitakes which was a nice touch. The sauteed spinach was fresh, full of garlic, but most importantly cooked properly. Wanted to love this place. We've been trying to spread the love during the quarantine by ordering out from different places. We spent $80 and threw half of it out. The fried mozzarella had a very thick not flavorful breading which was disappointing because the cheese in the middle was good and didn't need a heavy coating. The chicken parm was just okay and the meatball and mushroom appetizer was mostly breadcrumbs and not much meat to the meatball. The best part of the meal was the free bread. Won't go back. Restaurant was quite disappointing. To start with the wine glasses were filty and had to be returned. Ok, everyone makes a mistake. After looking at the menu I decided to have a salad and veal funghi. My wife ordered baked clams and requested veal parmigiana. The waiter returned and claimed that the chef would not substitute veal for chicken. His ridiculous reason was that the chef needed the veal for his dishes...uh duh! The salad was good and this is where it ended. The clams had horrible tasting red bread crumbs. The chicken parm looked like a piece of chicken with an unmelted slice of velveeta. My veal funghi was absolutely bland. So sorry, but this place needs A LOT work. It's a shame because the wait staff was quite friendly, not trained, but friendly. read more
