Placed an order of a large pie ( 1/2 takeout the trash 1/2 Marguerite) and inside the dough had a hair! Called and supervisor was no help, he literally said to call back and speak with owner who's going to be at restaurant in 2 days.

A rare 5 star from me! We were a party of 6 with a lot of food allergies between us and they could not have been nicer. They gave us a lot of menu suggestions and everyone enjoyed their food. My eggplant sandwich was amazing, The gluten free pizza was so good, the children cleaned their plates. We made room for dessert, I used to live near here many years ago and was excited to see they still had their homemade tiramisu. You absolutely must get it if you stop by here, it is perfect and I haven't had anything like it in the years since. My husband and the other couple got the apple pie which they loved. The lemon sorbet came in the lemon frozen and it was delicious as well. This place is five-star for food and service, should definitely be considered if you are in the area for a family meal.

My Place was THE place. As a first-time visitor, the bartender was so friendly and made me feel like I had been frequenting this spot for years. The decor was Italian-themed and very varied. The martini was perfectly made and garnished with jumbo, and salty olives. The coup glass had rounder sides than others and held a great pour. I also was so intrigued by their own infused spirits like vanilla vodka and jalapeño tequila that were featured behind the bar. The menu was diverse and offered a variety of salads, pizzas, pastas, grinders, and more. My entree was delivered hot and swiftly from the kitchen. Everything was delicious and seasoned well. Most importantly, when I inquired with the bartender about allergy restrictions, he was able to clearly articulate the ingredients. This place was happy, fun, and left me with a smile on my face.

We have driven by this restaurant many times before but this was our very first time eating there. We went for a late lunch so it was almost empty, except for a few people at the bar. The place is cozy and welcoming. Our server was friendly and attentive. She talked to us about the history of the place, which used to house the Newtown Post Office a few years back. Our food was tasty and the portions were adequate. We liked having lunch there. Maybe we'll go back for dinner next time.

Wow this place has some good pasta!! I love that it's not your typical pasta dishes too, it's like different and unique. I had a hard time choosing what I want because there were so many good options! The garlic bread they start you off with was so warm and delicious, crispy as well. I got the shrimp margarita pasta, it was creamy with a big of tang, so good. I tried some of my friend's shrimp Gorgonzola and it was delicioussss. Love all the drink options available too although I didn't try any. The patio was a very nice setting for dining.

Food quality/ price (value) rating 8.5. We sat at the bar, where we received great service. I had a meatball and hot pepper pizza. The crust was a relatively thin NY style crust. The ingredients were all very good quality, but the sauce and cheese was not spread out far enough towards the edges of the pizza for me. The wife had an "I Like Mediterranean" pizza , and the Cajun Chicken salad. Both were very tasty, and the cajun chicken was excellent. They offer 10 different draught beers on tap. We've been to this restaurant many times over the last twenty years or more, and have never had a bad meal.

Our very favorite Italian eatery! Family owned, excellent food, wonderful servers, warm and cozy ambiance but, best of all, once the staff and owner get to know you, you are always treated like family. Also, if you want a "Cheers" like bar, this is your place! Since moving to Connecticut several years ago, My Place had become the spot for my family's Friday night dinners, something all of us look forward to and always enjoy. Special bonus is their "holiday tree" which warms up the environment year round.

Great family restaurant for American/Italian food. Attentive wait staff and nice to be able to eat outside under an umbrella. Had the clams and mussels appetizer which was yummy. Arugula salad was a generous portion. Kids had chicken parm hero and pasta with broccoli rabe. Plenty of food so we had some leftovers for next day.

Sunday Afternoon around 4pm was our first indoor dinning experience. The two of us were the only seated table and their were three or four people at the bar. The bread was fantastic warm and great taste. We ordered calamari as our appetizer and paid the extra for hot cherry peppers. The rings were big and it would have been perfect If their were not more hot cherry peppers than calamari. The calamari was good but not crispy. Our early dinner order was a large lasagna pizza. We waited way too long for that pizza. Our waiter kept walking off to the side / behind our table and not making eye contact. Never came back to fill up our waters / bring another beer I ended up flagging him down on his many attempts not making eye contact to ask for more water. I used this time to ask about our pizza? When our waiter should have let us know how much longer it would be. The pizza came out hot and was yummy!! The bread and pizza kept our early dinner from being one star.

A stone fireplace anchors the space while low, ambient lighting, wood tables, and leather seating create an intimate, inviting atmosphere. I was excited to learn that the bar featured Misguided Spirits' Howe & Hummel vodka from New York City. Stirred, it produced a martini with a subtle sweetness and a hint of cracked pepper, served in a classic cocktail glass with an angular bowl and slender stem. The design felt timeless, keeping the drink chilled while offering a crisp, polished presentation, with the Castelvetrano olives taking center stage. When it comes to the food, I have no notes. The wings were perfectly seasoned, with meat that fell off the bone; the Bibb salad was fresh and dressed beautifully with house lemon oil; and the thin, crispy pizza lived up to its name, with bright sauce and fresh toppings. This is a spot you won't want to leave and one you'll be eager to return to, familiar, fun, and full of character.

You could tell right away this wasn't just another restaurant. It's her place, and she's proud of it. I really liked the vibe. Big open dining room, an open kitchen where you can watch everything being made, and family pictures all over the walls. It just feels comfortable. The pizza is New Haven-style apizza. The tomato pie was excellent. The San Marzano tomatoes really stand out. Nice fresh tomato flavor, a great bake, plenty of crunch, and a finishing dusting of grated cheese that pulled it all together without getting in the way. The cheese pizza was exactly what a cheese pizza should be. Sometimes the simplest pie tells you the most about a pizzeria, and this one didn't disappoint. My favorite was Donnie's Hot Pepper & Mushroom. The peppers brought just enough heat without taking over. The mushrooms added a nice earthy flavor that balanced everything out. Every bite just worked. One thing that stood out was that everything is made from scratch. You can taste it. Nothing felt like it came out of a bag or was rushed. Mangia Mi is the kind of place you leave already thinking about what you're ordering next time. We only scratched the surface today. I definitely want to come back and work my way through more of the pizzas, fresh pastas, seafood, and whatever specials Chef Rebecca is putting together. Thanks to Chef Rebecca and her team for taking such good care of the Slice Mob. We'll be back.

The dining room was empty as we came early, and it looked beautiful. The entire restaurant, to the eye, is absolutely a vibe. There was one server on shift at the time and she was very nice and welcoming. We had very high hopes for the meal to come. We were fairly disappointed. It was during a brunch service. Initially ordered the calamari as an appetizer. Yes, calamari as a brunch app is kind of strange however since it was available I ordered it. I typically order this wherever I go, because I execution-wise, it's not the easiest thing to prepare correctly. This app was tiny, as in the serving size. Additionally the calamari itself was super small as well. No nice meaty rings. No crispy tentacles. Just a greasy mess. The dish purports the dipping sauce to be that of a fra diavolo, it was not. It was more like a marinara with chunky bits of aromatics and perhaps a bit of crushed red pepper. It was also very pricey given everything. Even if it were perfect, still on the pricey side. At the same time my daughter ordered French toast. For $18. We are talking $6 a slice of brioche. Wild business, that. As mains, my wife ordered the avocado toast. Which she actually seemed to enjoy, although the bread was soggy, and the other items on the plate severely lacking. I ordered the "lobster" cake eggs Benedict. If this was lobster, then I'm the Mother Theresa. It was, by my palate overly processed canned crab meat. At best, overly processed lobster meat, but I highly doubt that given the taste, color, and texture. The CRAB cake itself was meh, the accompanying potato hash was okay, and the hollandaise sauce was passable if not good. We ordered drinks as well. My lemon drop martinis were pretty good. My wife was dissatisfied with her margarita, then ordered a dirty martini that was okay. We walked out with a tab of nearly $200. To say it was worth the money would be absurd. I hate to be so blatantly honest with this review, but this experience (food and drink-wise) was not one I would recommend.

The drizzle of hot honey topped with pistachios was the perfect accompaniment. I also ordered the tuna Niçoise salad and my husband had the Philly sandwich , both were perfection. We were not planning on dessert, but, then, we did with no regrets. The black cherry cheesecake was delicious and shareable. Honestly, even after a wonderful meal, the best part of our lunch when was the owner came over to chat with us. She introduced herself and told us a little about herself and her story. She is a remarkable, strong, woman who has worked hard to build her business and I truly can't wait to go back and to bring friends!
