We've stopped in twice now while in town since we typically stay at the hotel here. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great, we prefer outside and the setting is very nice. They have heaters for these cooler evenings and there's plenty of outdoor seating. Inside appears nice as well including a well stocked bar. The food is pretty good but it's hard to justify the price. This trip we decided to try the calamari and the cauliflower to start. The calamari was a generous size but lacked much other than fried breading. It's an iffy one to order anywhere as it can be hit or miss. Unfortunately this one didn't blow us away and most of the flavor was just from being fried. The cauliflower was very good, perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning and sauce. However, once again, we're talking big money for essentially grilled cauliflower with good seasoning. For our meals I had the zucchini noddles with eggplant "meatballs" (Zoodles) and it was good. Think sort of like eggplant parm made into fried balls with zucchini noodles, tomatoes, and sauce. I ate it all so it obviously wasn't bad, once again it's just the price that makes it tough. My wife had the Four Cheese Beggars Purse and she liked it, I didn't try it as I was full anyway but she's had it twice now and didn't have any complaints. Our three-year-old had spaghetti noodles with tomato sauce and he did like it. However, once again, it was $15.00 for noodles and sauce so it's hard to justify. Overall there was nothing bad that we've experienced here, it's just the price for what you're getting makes it tough to swallow. For an easy dinner staying at the hotel it's convenient but you pay for that convenience. If you're looking for a nice setting to have some drinks, appetizers, and enjoy a nice outside seating experience this isn't a bad option. If you're actually wanting Italian food though, there are other options in the area to consider first.

I was staying at this hotel and had heard great things about Terra, so decided to give it a try. The ambiance is wonderful and the place is very spacious, but it does get really busy. The have a nice bar area, and plenty of seating inside. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table for two, which was great considering how busy they were. The server came over right away to greet us. She was super friendly and occasionally checked in with us to give us her recommendations. We decided to try the new drink - Ophelia. It was really good and very refreshing. We ordered the calamari for our appetizer. It was great, except I would've loved an aioli to dip it in instead of the sweet and sour sauce. My entree was delicious! I ordered the beggars pasta. The flavors all came together so beautifully. The only issue was that the entree took so long to come out of the kitchen. Not sure if they were backed up because the place was crowded. Our server said it was the best pasta dish on the menu, so worth the wait. I was pretty hungry, but I'd say she's right.

    The drinks were SPECTACULAR!

Amazing service, great atmosphere. It was a really large place with a beautiful bar. I went on a Sunday around brunch time with friends. The drinks were so delightful! I had the chicken Milanese and it was just perfect; tasty, crunchy, and satisfying. The salad was so great! Came with a giant parmesan crisp on top, yum. My friends enjoyed their pizza and burger, too. WE WILL BE BACK!

Beautiful restaurant attached to a lovely hotel. Everything was modern and lofty. They had a nice patio area to enjoy the lovely weather. Loved the cocktail menu and the drinks were delicious. Food came out quickly and was great. Staff were friendly and attentive, and prices were fair. Would come back again, and even stay at the hotel if I have an opportunity!

Food is good but they need experience server, and host. I keep seeing new people there every time. I know it is inside hotel but still there are some regulars. Please have a good manager and experience server

While my waitress was good under the circumstances and I always generously tip when someone has to work on holiday. I left, the overall experience was frustrating and disappointing. I had made a reservation for Easter brunch and was contacted three times--twice by phone and once by text--to confirm. Each time I called back, I was put on hold and met with confusion. My reservation was for one person at a table. When I arrived, the entrance was packed--a complete sea of people--with no clear direction or host in sight. I followed a small sign and waited where I thought I was supposed to be, but after 10 minutes of being ignored, I asked staff if I was in the wrong place. They sent me to the opposite end of the restaurant, only for me to be redirected again through the buffet to the same original spot. And then back to the other end of the restaurant again. Eventually, a kind waiter noticed I needed help and found the hostess for me. However, she tried to seat me at the bar, which was right where all the buffet desserts were being served. I had specifically selected a table when booking, and the bar option had been grayed out online--it wasn't even an option. I politely explained this, but was dismissed and ultimately seated in the hotel lobby, far from the dining area. Being told oh it's Easter even after explained that I had not had a great morning and was looking forward to brunch. The atmosphere there was chaotic--drunk guests stumbling through, including one woman loudly singing opera on her way back to her room. People kept approaching me, mistaking me for staff, asking about the menu and where to check in. It was uncomfortable and definitely not the relaxing brunch I had envisioned. While the food itself was good what little I ate of it and fairly priced (though drink prices had gone up), the entire setting was disorganized and overcrowded. Minus tip I spent $95. And much the food was picked over by the time I tried to get something to eat and hadn't been replenished the entire time I was at my meal. Which the experience was so unpleasant I left in under an hour of getting seated. I ended up leaving hungry and having to make something when I got home cause I didn't wanna have fish for brunch. I couldn't even safely leave my payment unattended in the lobby and had to track down a staff member to ensure it was handled properly. It was a very unpleasant day overall. I had been looking forward to this brunch as a way to turn my day around, but it only added to my stress. It's a shame, because I live nearby and this could have been a great spot for hosting clients or meetings in the future. Sadly, I won't be returning.

My husband and I love to sit at the bar. They have a great cocktail menu and bartenders seem to know what they are doing. Just beware if you order a drink and request a different spirit the up charge might be substantial. I ordered a Negoni and the bartender recommended Flying Monkey gin....to my surprise it was $28. Thankfully I really enjoyed it but still it's Danbury not Manhatten. We will still go back because it is a really nice place with a great atmosphere

This trendy upscale Italian restaurant located in the Hotel Zero Degrees is as varied as its clientele. Guests of the hotel, couples date night, girlfriends out for a Friday night celebration, and celebratory groups all congregate to enjoy an elegant and well done menu. The appetizers range from calamari to carpaccio. Several pizzas join the menu from your essential margarita to more creative mushroom and Burrata. Service is almost too efficient, whisking away plates and cutlery almost before you're done the first offering of focaccia and hummus. I had the Beggars Purse entree which were delicious "purse" filled pastas with cheese. The roasted mushroom and cream were rich and decadent like the black truffle with it. My cousin had the Parmesan crusted halibut which looked lovely and my aunt had the lamb chops with red rice and tatziki. Finished off dinner with a deceptively innocent looking cheesecake which was insanely creamy with a berry compote. The other dessert was a molten chocolate cake with pistachio gelato on the side. The molten chocolate cake was okay but not as good as the gelato and the cheesecake. While the weather is still good recommend sitting outside on their lovely patio, but if it's already too chilly the interior is Edison-light lit and contemporary without being cold. While not cheap, an overall lovely evening.

Food was good. Service was fast and attentive. Some healthy options that were good. The salads intrigued us but I couldn't handle the price in order to try one. The ambiance is spacious and relaxing. Which is hard to achieve. I Will definitely go again esp for a lunch date.

Once we got seated, the vibe was spot on: cozy lighting, that awesome wood-fired smell. We started with fried mozzarella crispy outside, gooey inside, perfect with a little marinara. Then shared the chicken parm, which was killer juicy chicken, melted cheese, solid sauce, and the side pasta was on point. Our server was amazing, but the real standout was when the manager came over to chat. He asked how our night was going, wished us a happy Valentine's, and even checked if we needed anything extra. Super genuine, not salesy just made us feel like they actually cared we were there celebrating. That little touch turned a busy night into something special and personal. Food was delicious, atmosphere fun despite the crowd, and that manager moment sealed it. Definitely going back.

It's well proofed, the perfect balance of chewy and tender, gently salted and seasoned to allow toppings to shine. The thin Neopolitan / Neapolitan style crust is best eaten fresh out of the oven, not by delivery or take-away. After many years of eating at Stanziato's, though, we have some additional observations: As at just about every other restaurant, service is variable. The wait staff tends to be beautiful and young, capable about 80% of the time and less so about 20% of the time. The front of the house was extremely disorganized on a recent visit and although it was not busy, we waited 10 minutes to be seated. (We noticed others waiting a long time by the door without acknowledgment, waiting to put in or pick up an order.) Our first hostess greeted us curtly, and then completely disappeared, leaving a colleague to pick up the pieces 10 minutes later. Salads are well designed, but not always well executed. On several recent visits, our salads were slightly gritty with sand or soil. (A supplier issue?) Lardons in a Harvest Salad were cut into overly large pieces, fried too far in advance, and ate like salty rubber erasers. When it's not gritty, the beet salad is still a winner. Pizzas are sometimes served unpleasantly and excessively charred -- not just spots that might be expected on a Neopolitan / Neapolitan style pizza, but whole sections of crust. When 13" diameter pizzas run north of $20, I'd hope for better quality control. There is huge variation in decor from room to room, a legacy of the real estate takeover of the Latin bar next door, perhaps. The original rooms run pubby; newer rooms run clubby. The parking lot is as tight as ever!

The atmosphere is fantastic. The people, energy, truly one of a kind décor, and wonderfully unconventional menu all make the experience feel like much more than lunch. The staff was amazing, the food was very good, and the portions were generous. One wrap at our table looked like it may have missed a growth spurt, but everything else arrived ready to feed actual adults. One important logistical note: If you are especially well hydrated, choose your seat strategically. The restroom is on the bottom floor, and getting there may qualify as the day's cardio. I left with two strong conclusions: First, I really like this place. Second, conducting a work meeting here was like going to an amusement park to discuss spreadsheets. I cannot wait to return in a more appropriately fun frame of mind and work my way through everything I wanted to order but couldn't reasonably explain on an expense report. Consider this the preliminary review. The full investigation will require another visit, several friends, and absolutely no agenda.
