Great food, super fast service, and at a good price. The quesadilla is bonkers big! I don't think I've ever eaten more than half. Yassssss! I was so happy I found this place while charging my car bc lawd knows I hate fast food. They have build your own bowls for $12! I got rice, black bean, both chicken & steak (no extra charge), guac, sour cream, tomatoes, cotija cheese, and cilantro. It's served with a bag of homemade chips. And I got some hot (spicy) salsa on the side. It doesn't sound like a lot but I couldn't finish it. They also have margaritas in 2 sizes. I got the small one for $5. What a hidden gem! We stumbled upon this place when we needed to charge our car. It's also at a gas station so the location is so convenient. I got a taco bowl which was great and it was only $12 I believe no extra fee for guac too! They also give you complimentary chips even if it's to go. So overall, loved the price point and food! read more

I hate that this place... is 45 miles from my home in Charlotte! However, it is always, ALWAYS worth the drive! Have you ever eaten food and wished that you would not get full? This is that kind of place! Whether you get chicken, Carnitas, Pastor, or whatever these folks pile generous helpings into your burrito. TheIr grilled onions and jalapeños make wonderful accompaniments to the rest of the glorious toppings they have. Their queso dipping sauce is extraordinary and so are all the other freshly-made pico de gallo and other salsas - not to mention the usual lettuce, tomato, etc. We are selling our house and moving soon and proximity to this place has come up several times when contemplating our eventual location! read more

I ordered a beef street taco and a quesadilla. The corn tortilla for the street taco was homemade. The quesadilla cheese was melted/grilled (think grilled cheese) which gave it a pleasant flavor. My husband ordered the ACP and enjoyed it. Both of our plates were empty! Food was served quickly and they answered all our questions since it was our first visit. Amazing authentic mexican food in a place you least expect. Tiny spot attached to gas station that packs a punch! Small menu but it's everything you need. You order and build much like Chipotle or Salsaritas but waaaaaayyyy more amazing! About 6-7 tables in the restaurant but also good for carryout. A must try off the beaten path! Small restaurant on side of Exxon, just off the I-77 exit. This is a great addition to Troutman offerings. Food is fast, really fresh, and you can either take take-out or eat-in. It is an express spin-off of Del Sur restaurant in Mooresville. Recommended. read more

The Del Sur Mexican Taqueria is AWESOME! It's based on the subway way of ordering and everything is fresh, hot, plentiful. I ordered 3 Street tacos(2 steak, 1 chicken) but could only eat 2. My partner ordered a Carne Asada & Chorizo burrito that was bigger than his head. He is notorious for finishing whatever I can't eat but he tapped out 3/4 way thru. The prices are extremely reasonable. You choose the item you want and then walk along a counter telling them what condiments you want added to it. They also have a salsa bar and serve beer and margaritas.
