For mains- the asada del día is our go to. It is always cooked to perfection and comes with fresh tortillas. And it is hard for me to come by a tortilla in the U.S. that I enjoy. But here, they are excellent. They import their corn from Mexico and you can tell. This is served with bone marrow and some garlic onion spread that goes great on the taco. For dessert- their tres leches is amazing. The coconut cream pairs so well with the cake. I could eat like 10 of them. As if it's not obvious at this point vecino is my favorite restaurant in Detroit and one of my tops in the world. There weren't any that were overwhelming showstoppers that made me want to come back here again and again to try the rest of the menu though, so I left Vecino knowing that I wasn't going to return anytime soon. It's definitely for a specific mindset and type of celebratory occasion, which is often not the one I'm in when I'm going out to eat with friends.
