I must say, I have driven passed this place a million times and have friends who eat from here but I've never once thought to try it myself. I'll admit I only came here because I had a hard time finding other Mexican places to get my Taco Tuesday fix on my way home. But I was thankful to find it because I ended up having as very satisfying meal. Got a combination of hard and soft tacos all seasoned very well and the sides were basic items you would get at any similar restaurant. But they have a special sauce called the corzon (probably misspelled it) which is really good and I highly recommend you ask for it. Good food and service and caters to people who don't eat other Mexican offerings in the area due to dietary restrictions. I'll definitely come back!

I was pretty excited about this place, I ordered a steak burrito, for some reason the lettuce they put inside tasted weird it tastes like the lettuce was old and not fresh at all. The steak aspect of the burrito was more like beef cooked normally. I've had a steak burrito but this was not the best.. the ingredients did not taste fresh to me. I felt like as if I had left the burrito in the fridge for 5 days and then heated it. The chips and salsa was okay nothing special. I may come back and try to give this place a chance and try something else.. but I maybe hesitant. Over all: -Food: 3.9/10 -cleanliness : 10/10 they also wear masks -portions : good size 10/10 - pricing : decent pricing $

I photographed a few of Alexander's dishes for Doordash today. I also had the opportunity to enjoy the beef mountain nachos and the steak burrito. So good!! After getting to know the owner Alexander, I learned that he was chef at the great Detroit Athletic Club and came in 7th place out of 200 contestants at the OUNCE national Barbecue competition. This annual competition hoss the likes of Sweet Baby Rays and and Famous Dave's Barbecue. He is really talented in the kitchen. He fuses authentic mexican ingredients with an American twist. He chose to make it Halal (no pork) to satisfy the Muslim population in the area, but he attracts all folks from near and far. The portions are good too. You need to check this place out. Your taste buds will be very happy.

I cannot get enough of their food! The customer service and ambiance is amazing as well. Always hot and fresh and more than enough for one person to eat. I drive 3+ hours to get their Lamb Birria Tacos and Beef Nacho Mountain! Truly delicious! Warning - Drive very slow in the parking lot....Potholes will swallow your tires :)

I always pass by here and decided to give it a try. We had meat/chicken burritos and a chicken chimichanga. My family and I didn't think it tasted special or remarkable. It was ok but for us it lacked flavor. For example the chimichanga could use more sautéed onion/peppers or sauce

The food wasn't that pleasant. I was in the mood for some Mexican food and came across this place nd decided to give them a try. I spent a total of $15 for steak fajitas and steak burrito. The portions that they give you leaves room for improvement. I would compare these portions to a snack. Also the steak gave me a weird after taste. I won't be going back unfortunately Small portions. You've been warned

Coconut shrimp was excellent with the sweet chili sauce. Gained stars for freshness and service. Lost one star because the steak could be a little more tender.

I am the only customer inside for lunch today. Some food delivery pick-ups and the DoorDash ding going off in the background. Ordered the molokhia soup, lentil soup, combo mazza with fattoush less pita instead of the salata masria, feteer chicken shawarma and side of falafel. $49.78 They are out of the Fakhfakhina drink, sounds interesting with the strawberries, ice cream, sounds kind of like a float. I couldn't try a taste of the molokhia soup to see if it would be good or not. I have no idea what Jute is, had to look it up. It's a green leaf soup. I went with the feteer chicken since it's a light breading vs the hawashi. The lentil is extremely runny, doesn't taste as expected, rather subtle flavors, mostly bland. Some rice as filler. Comes in a small cup. The falafels are shaped like small donuts, they are crispy, but the inside is soft. They aren't too bad, just mostly taste the oil from the fry session more than the chick peas. Super light and crunchy though. The roasted eggplants are food, has a nice kick to it. The hummus is super smooth and a tad runny, reminds me of tahini sauce. The fattoush is okay. Could use some sumac to flavor it up some. The cucumbers are too water logged, tomatoes aren't ripe and lettuce is wilted. The Molokhia soup has a rather slimy and glutinous texture, it's quite odd. Not for me at all. Comes in a large bowl. The waiter waiting on me is eating behind the checkout counter after he dropped off my last dish. The feteer is an Egyptian quesadilla. Cheese, tomato, green peppers, black olives and chicken shawarma. It's good with the hummus or the garlic sauce. The feteer is definitely worth the I felt like the experience for me was very much transactional.

After learning we had never been here before, he answered our questions and gave recommendations of menu items based on our preferences. Because of this, we decided to eat here and through our whole ordering process he was transparent about spice levels and any other considerations. We ordered tacos - two steak for her and one chicken and one ground beef for me. Both with a side of rice and beans. The hot sauce is nicely spicy. The white sauce was fantastic, it is the type of sauce I would put on everything if I could. The taco shells with the cheese cooked onto them, in addition to the fillings and sauces, resulted in some extremely delicious tacos. The chicken taco easily is one of the best tacos I've had, it was that good. Everything was fresh, delicious, and filling. Special thanks to Abe for converting us from tourists to customers - we are eagerly anticipating our next visit!

I wasn't expecting the Cali turkey wrap to be warm, and I was wrong in assuming the dressing would be on the side (because I had to pick which dressing I wanted). In the future, I'd either order something different or ask for the sandwich cold and the dressing on the side because I wanted to save half for tomorrow but it will be a soggy mess by then. I also didn't expect sugar on the sweet potato fries, but rather paid extra for the upgrade because I was looking forward to the customary salt on the naturally sweet potato. I even tried to knock the sugar off, but it was applied when the fries were warm and damp from the fryer so it stuck. The fries were also soggy by the time I returned to work ten minutes after scheduled pick up. As a result, I didn't enjoy these at all, but can see the appeal for people who love sweets. On my next visit, I'll try a burger and regular fries instead and see how that goes.
