I tried the other location previously and was a bit disappointed so I wanted to try this one. Pretty mid food unfortunately. I ordered the red California burrito with steak. First of all, I'd be surprised if they were actually using a 14 in tortilla. A basic chipotle burrito is bigger than what I got. That's not great. The ratios were brutal. There was so much sour cream that I could barely taste anything else in some bites. The steak was chewy which was unfortunate. That and the fact that there wasn't much steak. Happy with my decision to try a new (to me) Mexican restaurant. Que Pasa is fairly priced and serves delicious food! I went with the grilled chicken and while it was flavorful and delicious, I'm excited to try a different protein next time. The chicken in my tacos was a little dry but still tasted good as it was well seasoned and warm. The combos are a great deal--3 tacos, rice, beans, and a soda. My meal came with 2 salsas--the green was very spicy and the red had a unique flavor (also pretty spicy). When I saw that the burrito was $5, I decided to add that to my order as well and it was my favorite part. It's about the size of my hands (so maybe not enough for a full meal) but it's packed full of flavor. The taco combo was great, but I enjoy the chicken and beans mixed together in the burrito. The food has great flavor and served authentically. The restaurant was fully packed on a Friday night. It's giving diner vibes. Set up for quick service, not really a place to sit for a long time but they do serve alcohol. It's very bright and white in there, not really Mexican restaurant vibes--but the food is delish so I'm not bothered by that. Trying out this location, been to another Que Pasa. We wanted something quick and easy. They do have grilled chicken as well as chicken Tinga tacos. Chips and salsa immediately out, along with the hot red salsa and the salsa verde bottles. Ordered Combo #2 with red grilled chicken tacos (comes with consommé and a drink, 2 red tinga tacos and a guacamole. $26.15 The chips are not great and mostly broken in the first batch. The second batch is not broken, a bit better. Not fresh or warm still. The mild salsa and hot salsa together are okay, separately are not special. The hot red salsa is just spicy. The green salsa has jalapeño in it, it's good. The mild red, hot red and green jalapeño salsas are better altihyw The salsa looks not as good as it tastes, lots of red onions, decent flavor. The #2 combo grilled chicken taco came out as a burrito with seasoned fries. The second time it was chicken tinga tacos. My husband just ate it, even though he had originally ordered and asked for grilled chicken tacos. My two chicken tinga tacos were good, the red marinated tortillas are slightly chewy. The consommé is quite beefy in flavor and has a ton of onions, it's flavorful. My husband said the combo wasn't worth it, since he didn't really need 3 tacos or the consommé, wasn't worth the $13 vs $6 for my two tacos. I didn't get a bill total at all. I saw a sign for happy hour but couldn't see the details. Service was quick, food came out in about 20 min and was hot and fresh. Chips were a little extra crunchy and I didn't love the salsa (but I'm not a good judge of that because I rarely like salsa). I did enjoy all the food I ordered; carbs asada tacos w/beans and rice ($13.99) and some shrimp tacos (2/$4.99). So far, this is the best Mexican food I've had in Michigan. The tacos looked really dry, but they were surprisingly moist and well-seasoned. I didn't expect the tacos to have fried tortillas, but I didn't mind. The rice and beans were perfect, and the salsas were fine. This is a clearly a popular takeout spot. I saw lots of people coming in to pick up their food and leave. However, dining in also seemed quite popular. I think it is nice to dine in since they give you complimentary chips & salsa and huge bottles of salsa to put on your tacos. The waiters also kept checking on us which was nice. However, the place is not that big or fancy, so I understand why people might prefer taking out. My only complaint is that the waitress who took our order gave us bottled water when we asked to start with water while we were deciding what to order, and she charged us for the bottled waters later. I feel like it's common sense to give free tap water when a customer asks to start with water without specifically asking for bottled water. Despite that, I would still return. I've been hearing rave reviews about this place so I had to try it out for myself! I placed an online order and the process was very smooth. I only had to wait about 5-10 minutes after my pickup time for my order to be ready, which, for how busy they were, was no big deal. I ended up ordering the birria quesatacos, chips and salsa, and the queso fundido. Everything was great! Everything was fresh and flavorful, and it was sooo much food. The only suggestion I'd have is to add descriptions to each item online to make the online ordering a bit clearer. But overall, truly such a small thing! I was welcomed as I walked through the door to which this was a carryout or eat in (which I didn't realize that they had table service). I took a look at the menu and decided to try the red tacos and the burrito que pasa. I was not disappointed. They were delicious, fresh tasting definitely a top-notch taco. The two red tacos were so much that I couldn't eat the burrito que pasa. Did that stop me? No I had to taste it. It looked delicious and it tastes even better. We couldn't really figure this place out and my husband being Mexican was shocked that they had tortas de pollo but no milanesa. Honestly that's fine but what killed it was the pretentiousness of the person who took our order. I cannot say I've had an experience like that in a long time. We didn't know the menu well and asked for Milanesa. We were greeted with disguist and disdain for not knowing the menu. Due to the choices we were honestly a little worried about authenticity but ordered grilled chicken tortas and a cubano. The ambiance was cute but bachata music in a Mexican place felt a little off. Food came out within 15 minutes and my kids rated it a 5-6/10. It wasn't bad but it was great. The service was great. I think 3 people checked in on us during our visit. The menu is really solid and I like that I can order things ala carte, I don't always want the rice and beans. They also have Combos for $13. I wound up getting the 3 taco combo but could only finish 2. My husband got the que pasa burrito and it was large enough that he brought half home for lunch tomorrow.
