They are now using a robot at this Del Taco drive thru ordering station. But the robot voice isn't clear. When it repeated my order, it sounded incorrect. When I asked to speak to a live person, the DT employee came on and asked "What's wrong with the order?" I told her that the robot had my order wrong, she asked what I wanted and after I told her, she said that's exactly what it was in the computer. I tried to explain to her that that's not what I heard on my end, and instead of apologizing, and just making sure it was correct she wanted to argue with me about the fact that the order was correct. I think this is going to be my last time eating at this chain, no matter the location. I hadn't eaten at Del Taco for quite some time, but had a "Del Taco feast" junk food craving, so swung through the Drive-Thru on the way home. The food was OK I guess... it just didn't taste that great and was not as satisfying as I remember, but at least they got the order correct. The reason I won't be returning is because 1) they no longer have the Spicy Jack Quesadilla, and 2) there is no longer a human taking orders. Instead it's like some cold computer AI voice, which feels really, really creepy. There is a human there to fix the order when the AI messes-up, but if they're heading towards this impersonal AI stuff permanently, I'll make my OWN bad Mexican food. Thanks. :( read more

So I got the deluxe chili cheese fries and what I like about it is that they're using the beyond meat now if you like that It tastes good and I get it with extra onions. The service has definitely improved now the automated system is gone but their newer employees could use a little extra training. The night shift was definitely rushing orders at the drive through and some of their responses like "whaaa" and "huh" threw me for a loop. I know kids are allowed to work at 16 but that was bad. The lines are long and you may need to extend times available for Dine In/possibly hire more staff. Also it would make more sense to have deliveries for online apps to use door bell after hours, like most other places. It holds up the lines and delivery items are bagged and ready for drivers which then get delivered COLD. read more

Never have I ever had worse service in my entire life! We were in line for a solid 27 minutes. At 15 minutes, I actually called them to find out what the holdup was and no one answered. (I called two times while in line) We finally get to the microphone to order our food. It was all AI. A human never spoke to us and so we rolled up to the window to place our order. Speaking incredibly articulately, I shared with her exactly what we wanted and waited yet another 12 minutes for her to hand us our order. (all the while she and her coworkers were laughing and giggling like they had no other care in the world.) We got home only to find out that every item in our order was wrong. We made another call to them. This time some chick claiming to be the manager, only identified herself, upon request, as Violet, at the very end of the conversation. But wait. . .there's more!! She answered the phone "Hello" not "thanks for calling Del taco! How can I provide you with shitty service? To top it off, even the Dr Pepper didn't have enough syrup, it was just carbonated water. Honestly I can't tell you how annoyed I am from today's visit. Most certainly will be last visit as well. I waited over 10minutes just be asked what I wanted to order. Then, I had to wait another 10 minutes to pull up to the window. Plus I had to wait again for my Oder to be ready. What I'm most frustrated about is that I spent more time waiting for my food that ended up cold and not to mention, I ordered quesadillas and their is hardly any cheese ( it literally looks like crackers). My 4 year old son ate it and wants to take it back because there is hardly any cheese. On this order I also ordered double beef tacos and I received all 6 tacos regular with no double beef. EVERYTIME I go here my order is messed up. Foods burnt or no sauce or just completely the wrong item. Don't waste your money. It's just a bunch of kids working in there that don't care. Food has gone down in quality over the past couple of months. Not good anymore. Last time the bacon double cheeseburger came with bacon crumbles. They used to use real bacon slices. You can barely find the burger patties they're so small or the buns got bigger. I'm not one who needs tons of salt on the fries but enough for flavor would be nice. No more taco Tuesday. Value tacos remind me of Jack in the Box mini tacos. If I wanted Jack in the box mini tacos I'd go to Jack in the box. My husband and I had a late night craving so we pulled up to the drive thru and knew what we wanted to order. I saw an offer after ward and decided to order the additional tacos, after I ordered the cashier asked if I wanted to try the other flavor as well and recommended I do, he made it easy for me to understand the menu and I don't regret it, thanks to Aris. Finally!! A Del Taco on Ontario! For years, this area has been dominated with many fast food restaurants but a Del Taco was never here. This location took up some space from Fresh & Easy but it was worth it. There is a lot of shops surrounding this area so it is a convenient spot for this place. I love the cheddar quesadillas and the employees are all pretty friendly as well. They are not cheap with the sauces you ask either. I was here at least almost every day when they opened. Wish they had a lot more locations in Corona. But this one will do for now. read more

I live just north of Santiago High School and I had been wishing for a Del Taco closer to home. Before this location opened, the closest one was down on Main by the 91 or the one over on McKinley. It was about time they get one over in my hood. I haven't had the 1-2 star experience that many other Yelpers are reporting. Just a regular Del Taco to me. They've never messed up my order, though, there have been some instances where my order took unusually long to get to me. The drive-thru line is almost always stupid long, like In-N-Out-esque, so I opt to go inside for my to-go orders. Usually saves me five to ten minutes. Last week we went on Tuesday and my girlfriend ordered their Taco Tuesday deal: three hard tacos for $1.29 or something like that. They didn't give us the discounted price. She got unreasonably pissed over it. She argues it wasn't about the money, it's the principle. I agree, but at the same time it's the matter of a fraction of a dollar. She's right, though.
