The only reason this place gets 2 stars from me is guess is I've been eating hear for 11 years now. Only one other time did they get my order wrong but this time not only did they get my order wrong they told me that soft tacos dont exist on their menu.....well excuse me but the number 1 says crunchy or SOFT. Then the cook proceeded to come out and argue about it and all the while I didn't receive my supreme burrito that I had to come into the store from the drive in for. So I asked for 4 corn tortillas so my wife could eat her tacos without hurting her teeth and he said they were cooking....what part of soft taco doesn't this place understand? I have driven past this place multiple times was always curious. I was out running errands and thought I'd stop and grab some lunch to go. I grabbed a Carne Asada burrito. I was pleasantly surprised. The burrito is quite good. I definitely would stop by here again to grab some lunch or dinner. The service was also very nice and the restaurant was kept nice and clean. Well, I keep coming back to Tata's! Their steak, potato and cheese burrito (I get no egg unless it's breakfast) is my favorite in Loveland. Their steak is delicious and the salsa/sauce (red and green) they provide is the perfect complement. The portion size for $8 is also more than you get at a place like Qdoba or Chipotle and tastes better! The facility itself is old and dated but when the food is good, it doesn't matter. The single most important thing to remember is this: When ordering a breakfast burrito GET IT SMOTHERED IN RED OR GREEN CHILI. If you don't, you will likely complain that your burrito is dry. This is because of the high potato content, which by design will result in a dry burrito. read more

I've been there many times burritos were good but Yesterday went in around 4:30 to get same burrito as usual it was a egg potato and cheese well after leaving I was starting to eat it and it was so disgusting ! The outside of the restaurant wasn't much to look at, and the interior was very dated as well. It appeared to be clean on the morning I went. The staff was not friendly, and didn't respond to questions about the menu. I asked about the breakfast burrito special, and was greeted with a blank stare. I ordered it anyway, and it was about as big as a Chipotle burrito. It was pretty dry, and for something that had chorizo in it, it wasn't very flavorful. Seemed to be mostly potatoes and some bland eggs. It was better with the red sauce on it. Their Burritos are among the best. My favorite & go-to is the Ranchero. The red & green salsas on the side are very good. I have not tried the other plates they offer. I used to eat here on occasion, but I haven't been back for a couple of years, and today reminded me why. Actually, it's worse than before. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito, and paid $2 extra for them to add rice into it. I only tasted rice in the first bite, I didn't realize that rice is so expensive. The burrito price has gone up by 33%, but that might not be unusual. I ate in the restaurant, which was empty, except for the table with food scattered all over it. The burrito came fast, maybe too fast, wrapped in paper, but nothing else, no paper plate, napkins... There were no napkins anywhere, I had to ask for them, and then wait for almost two minutes while he seemed to wander around talking to fellow employees. It was one of those places that is a hole in the wall Mexican place that has good breakfast burritos like we can get in California. Then, the quality just went down hill. I try to support local businesses as much as possible so I've been to this place 3 times hoping That the first 2 times they were having a bad day But not so. The Carne asada burritos do not taste fresh. The meat is hard and so are the tortillas. All three times I've gone through the drive-thru, I live close and the food Has always been cold, not warm cold! I've also ordered the fish taco which smelled and tasted very very fishy so much so I couldn't eat it. And all four plates came on four different looking paper plates. Food was pretty bland. Inside looked out dated. I moved to Colorado from San Diego 5 years ago and hardly ever find an ITEM of Mexican food that reminds me of the shops back home, let alone a full menu (and I mean the flavor, not the availability). Tata's employees rock, their red & green hot sauces are the flavor and consistency of back home, and the food is dank AF. The people leaving negative reviews are probably people that got out of line for their nightly Taco Bell. No shade, Taco Bell has its place at 12 am when you're barely clinging to consciousness. Worst burrito ever. Tortilla was like leather, the shredded beef was crusty & burned from the steam table. flavor was awful, like sweet bbq from a can. Matter of fact, everything tasted like it was from a can. The green chili that smothered it was an insult to the west. Gross at best. The "salsa" was as flavorful as water. The guy running the drawer and making orders was very friendly and brought out my torta quickly. The torta itself was doable and the prices were reasonable. What was the deciding factor with my star rating was I had to ask myself, 'Would I go back?' and the answer was 'Yes.'
