He repeated my order and you can actually hear him, well spoken, unlike some spots you can't understand them..when I got to the window he was smiling and just really had me drive off thinking.."Wow! Came here to get a quick bite to eat before heading out to work. There was only two cars in front of me and it took 30 minutes. I only ordered a burrito and a tostada and it took this long. Absolutely ridiculous. And the workers did not even apologize for the long wait. They probably didn't even know and just acted like nothing happened. My two star rating is based on the food. The customer service was great. The food was good and hot, but I got the new Del Dorado epic burrito. The ad said layers and layers and layers. (3 times) of flavor. There was one layer it was beans. All I tasted was beans. It was the worst food item I've ever gotten at Del Taco and I eat here fairly regularly. Don't waste the money on anything Del Dorado. I'm guessing that food out I'm probably will not be there very long. I should've gotten my usual grilled chicken burrito, but even that most of the time is so over salty it's almost inedible. This place is a joke. They made me a burritos that was smaller than a taco for over $5 that fits in the palm of my hand. They have done this many times including missing food. I am tired of wasting my money, there are other places to go but more important cook at home. To add insult the taco barely had meat, lettuce and cheese. The food is good and I come here when I crave quick Mexican, but however, I always ask for extra cheese and of course they always charge me but they always never ever give me extra cheese. I don't know if it's a scam at this location because I've gone to others and they will give me the extra cheese. Stopped by for a late dinner. I was looking for a macho burrito as I remember it back in the day. I haven't been to a Del Taco in decades.This one here on Beach Boulevard is clean and roomy for indoor dining.They changed the name of the macho burrito to a epic burrito and it taste the same as I remember it. I also love the fries here and those were good as well. The service was courteous and friendly, as I always say these kids that work fast food are really hard workers. I noticed the male working the drive-thru orders. He proceeded to handle money, then walked over to the food and handle/spread the cheese, lettuce onto the food that was being served. I'm only giving this place 5 stars because the food always tastes decent. I've been coming here often lately and have had wrong orders a few times. I ordered two quesadilla tacos with chicken but for some reason got one chicken and one asada. I also tried placing an online order ahead of time for 6 hours later. They made it 3 hours after I placed the order claiming that they make any online order as soon as they see it. OK, so if I placed an order for RIGHT NOW then you would make it 3 hours later? I don't believe it. They remade it because I asked nicely but were telling me to order immediately "for next time." But there isn't going to be a "next time" because I'm just going to tough it out in the long drive-thru line forever. Used to come here primarily for the mini milk shakes, and then would typically order a few other items. They no longer provide a large straw for Shakes apparently (what they told me). As one cannot drink their shake with their normal straws, not having the big straws makes this Del Taco a waste of time, if you are interested in a shake that is. Otherwise the rest of the food is what you'd expect from a del taco. But a management team that opts to not provide adequate straws for milk shakes, is probably cutting corners in other places too. So this place doesn't open until 7 AM, they sit right next-door to Carl's Jr. who also doesn't open until 7 AM. So this place sits on the corner of Lambert and Beach Boulevard. A very busy highway, this business would do much better if it opened earlier. I mean really, do you guys ever wonder why McDonald's and Jack-in-the-Box kicks your ass? I can deal with that but when I saw him spit something out on a napkin and didn't bother washing his hand before handling our order that pissed me off. I normally love coming to this Del Taco, always a good experience and food is on point but I'm extremely disappointed with the experience I just had. I originally ordered a crispy chicken taco, which I didn't mean to get, the worker told me what I actually wanted was a CRUNCHY chicken taco, which is what I meant to get, I still left with the exact same order.
