I haven't been here for awhile. I wanted some fresh nachos and cheese. I didn't want the huge Specials which included burritos and fries. I don't go the Mexican for french fries.... I order a taco, nacho with homemade guacamole and a drink. The bill would have been about $8. I asked what was price of soda and was told $2.80 or there abouts. I cancelled the soda. My taco was very, very small and the chips were getting stale, but the guacamole had pieces of fresh avocado, but that won't get me to go back to this location again. MY TUESDAY REGULAR! I go to Del Taco almost every Tuesday. As it's a busy night after work and I have more work/business to attend to later that evening, I need a reliable bite! I've been coming to SJ's Del Taco for YEARS and it's delivered most of the time. The burritos are extra cheesy and the tacos have more meat than Taco Bell. I can't give five stars due to the fact that my fries have come out limp the last few visits. As for recommendations, I go for the Fiesta Pack (comes with burritos and tacos), a large fry and a milkshake! The drive-thru service is fast and professional. I haven't ran into any rude staff here which is a delight. Del Taco is right down the street from MSJC and several communities. If you're looking for a quick bite I'd recommend it as it's mellow inside! I was able to work on a few things for school and work during my lunch time as it was quiet. Oh my god where to start this was the first time I went to this location and it will be my last generally Del Taco is pretty decent, but this location is by far the worst one I have ever been to for $17. The food should've been better the attitude of the employee should've been better. It was just horrible food all the way around I asked for an order of fries and I watched them physically take the fries out and place them on the counter as opposed to giving me hot fresh fries. These fries were old I had to put them in the microwave to make them taste semi decent. The guacamole was terrible. The Del tacos themselves made myself and my mom sick so I don't know what the temperature of the food was will never ever eat at another Del taco again because of this location the franchisee owner probably needs to overhaul this location and either teach their employees better food safety I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone avoid at all cost. I see why I rate one star on a majority of the reviews on yelp. read more

She called out the order and placed it on the counter. When I picked up the bag on the counter I thanked her and she said nothing and proceeded to speak to her coworker. There is something really wrong with management at this location , years back this location was clean and service was on top of the other locations in hemet & San jacinto , but not even close to good service at this location , I think after today I'm done giving you my business ,...... I went one time took a friend to dine in , all tables were dirty @ sticky not one staff member took a moment to tidy up the dinning room but they were talking about personal stuff from the night before to each other , very unprofessional, bathrooms hand no toilet paper . I went another time through drive thru there was no other cars and they ask me to go around and park up front , because my fries were still cooking , they bring out my orders and I looked in my bag and no fries I try to yell out and she promptly walked back in , I had to get off my car and tell them my fries were missing , & I'm handicapped , spine was in pain . Again very unprofessional staff! , went in with my son on another ocasión to dine in and again floors & tables sticky , dirty , used wipes in my purse to wipe our table down . And today I make a mobile order ( a $9 box ) get to drive thru they tell me on the speaker to drive up to window , when I get to window the guy tells me they do not have cheese for double burger if I wanted shredded cheese ? This place has good food, but the drive thru service needs some work, You drive up to the ordering board and sit and wait a few minutes to even get someone to speak to you, this is 6 am with no one else in line and no one inside, then when you get to the window, it takes them at least 2 to 3 minutes just to get you 2 tacos you ordered, would hate to see how long it would take if there was more people in the drive thru. read more

The three times I have gone here in the past 2 years they have gotten my order wrong, they were insanely slow, and just overall incompetent. Today I ordered the grilled chicken taco combo with chili cheese fries and a cherry coke. What I got was two hard shell del tacos, and two shitty tamales covered in chili cheese. I get our expectation should be low for fast food but the bar of this del taco is in the earth's core. Everyone who is employed here should definitely stay employed here as to keep the incompetency contained to one place. Everything was an up charge, large combo (doesn't come with a side but 2$ extra for the drink, 1.50$ extra each for the meat that already comes in the burrito). The drive through employee was impatient while trying to place the order, we were told to park out front after paying and sat out there forever, the food is cold and the burritos have a fistful of smashed fries and a couple pieces of burnt meat scraps shoved in HALF A BURRITO. Are you kidding me ??? I place my order and had to repeat myself several times. My order was not hard.. Bean and cheeses burrito with red sauce and xtra cheese & Large iced tea. The lady whom I assume was a lead or manager of some sort was too busy yelling at one of thee employees that was in there. So after repeating my order three times ... I pull up pay and leave.. in a hurry I unwrapped my burrito and knew right away it had green sauce .. no extra cheese either .. you are kidding me .. seriously, listen to the customer. Great location. The food is always fresh. I really appreciate the changes in menu, as this was my favorite place growing up to eat... being able to choose a healthier option for myself is ideal! I typically eat plant based meals so the addition of beyond meat has been incredible! They are also very accommodating when subbing items to accommodate eating restrictions. read more

First a big thank you to eveeyone in the store for working today, Easter Sunday. Its been 3 months since I ate here. Service has always been great and the food is hot and freah. Today we ordered 2 burritos and a large fry. (Fries are always fresh and hot) Today the 2 for $5 burritos were small ( lots of lettuce) and just ok. The fries were not hot at all The service was fast.. We asked for hot and mild sauce. We got ketchup instead. First time we ever tossed our fries.... I remember a year or so ago the store was shooting part of their customer service commercials there. The team members and managers have always been super friendly.
