Our large group returned here for good food. Three persons ordered the chicken or shredded beef Taco Salad. My 2 taco plate was ok. One was shredded beef and the other was chicken. Both came with rice and beans. My side was a salad. Not much to write about on the salad, as it was just lettuce and a few strips of cabbage. I should have ordered the Abondigas soup, which the waitress brought me a small bowl to taste. The shredded beef taco in a deep fried shell was full of beef. Not much taste to the meat. It had some shredded cheese on top and one tomato. The beans tasted good. As most of the food was bland in taste. My friends also had the fish plate. The waitress and staff were very friendly and always checked to see if we needed more food. This service here is excellent even on a Saturday late in the day but do keep in mind they close at 7:00 PM so get there before then. We had a combination of different stuff The salsa went well with the chips. The volume of food exceeds what's in the area for sure and the service top rate. The restaurant is located between a small market and laundromat. Parking was relatively easy to find since we arrived right after the lunch rush. The outside of the restaurant looks unassuming; however, when entering you are warmly greeted and advised to feel free to choose your own table. When sitting down, chips and salsa are placed right in front of us. The chips are freshly made and it pairs well with the red salsa. The salsa is mild with a slight kick. Looking around while sipping our drinks and eating the chips and salsa, we noticed the decorations. We found out that the decorations were given by people who came by for a meal. It shows how much this place is loved by the people who come by for a warm meal. We ordered #1 Huevos Rancheros, Carne Asada plate, #6 Enchilada and Taco with shredded beef. Due to intolerance to dairy and gluten, #6 was ordered with corn tortilla and no cheese which they were really accommodating. The prices were extremely reasonable. Clean restaurant and we were greeted by who I'm assuming was the owner right away. He was very friendly and gave us fresh made chips and salsa. The salsa was yummy. Our families favorite restaurant in town. We have had many family birthday dinners here, and also have had them cater some events. All of the food here is delicious, and Hector and everyone there is always so inviting and wonderful. It's like visiting our old friends when we go. Another great find of amazing & authentic Mexican food very similar to the art "Chicano Style " I say "Chicano style " because this restaurant was very similar to the food I ate growing up in southern Colorado 4th generation and how my family prepared their Mexican food . Great service but the fries and salsa are quite awful. I believe that if someone else mentioned that in the reviews, we wouldn't have gone because my partner and I are big fans of fries and salsa.
