This place charges more than other Del tacos due to the location in Torrance I assume. if you want any deals go to another Del taco. For example, taco Tuesday is three for three dollars here and three tacos for two dollars everywhere else. They also charge five dollars for the chicken tacos instead of three dollars for the deal. Upon my arrival I noticed it was 1 persons working the front counter and the drive thru window. I order my food and ate inside, I soon noticed the benches were not very clean with stains and wet spots on the seating area. After eating I asked to use the restroom to which he told me he doesn't have one. I asked about the 2 restrooms I clearly noticed upon entry he then stated the restrooms a both out of order. Glad I didn't have a kid or elderly person that was with me and needed to go to the restroom. I'm an advocate for "everyone has bad days," and sometimes the food isn't perfect. But this was the first time in a long time that I've been actually concerned for my safety by finishing a meal. I ordered the shrimp burrito which is normally very good from Del taco, but the tails on the shrimp became so incredibly stale. It was unreal. I couldn't even break them down. I had to pull them out and take off the tail. I got a little more than half way through and just gave up on it. Then I took a bite of the grilled chicken taco and immediately had a fragrant / bitter bite. It smelled almost like a chemical. Like paint. I thought I might have just been mistaken so I asked someone else to smell it. Didn't say why, and they had the same reaction of "wtf was that." It tasted horrible so I trashed that. Fast, friendly and fits my frugality. I've been a long time fan of Del Taco. It started out of convenience - so close to my office. Now, I'm addicted to their fries! This location is the closest toy new office. And, they do a great job on consistency - hence the five stars. So many other Del Tacos (specifically the one at the LB Town Center) either get things wrong, or fries under or overcooked. Shout out to the girl with a blue swatch in her hair. Waited over ten minutes to order in the drive through even though nobody was ordering inside the store. What could be taking them so long to do things? I am shocked at how long it is taking to get through the drive through. It's kind of like waiting at In-n-Out, except there are only five cars ahead of me. Pleasant experience at the drive thru today. Today's app special was 10 tacos for $4.20 bucks. Sure they were small but it was what I expected. Kinda like those old Pup n Taco specials back in Jr. High that were 3 for 99 cents. They also had 2 fish tacos for $4 and 2 shrimp tacos for $5. $20 to feed 3 hungry people. Never go here. This is the worst del taco I have ever been to in my entire existence. I think out of the 9 or 10 chances I've given this del taco due to convenience, they have failed on delivering an edible meal 95 percent of the time. I usually try to let things slide, but today i had to let others know (around 6:35ish 8/31/22) I went and one of the employees was spraying cologne or something on the food that they were giving people. Last time I went, they gave me a taco with only lettuce. They always forget something with my order, put the wrong dressing on your food, or something along those lines. This is a reoccurring issue. This del taco will rip you off so be warned. It's a sitting lawsuit waiting to happen. I do not want anyone to get sick, do not go here. They say they close 15 minutes early to settle the system. That doesn't make any sense. Close at the correct time and settle the system after you're closed like every single other business. Was there grabbing my lunch when a homeless man approaches and asked me for something. It looked like he was asking for water so I told the cashier he seems to be asking for water. He gave it to him as I took off. When I was about to leave, I didn't have napkins and hot sauce so I went back in. The homeless guy was still there giving me the mean look and stink-eye at me while he was telling another customer what to order for him, so she was obligated to get him a combo meal. I then also offered and asked the homeless guy if he wants anything in addition with the food she was getting him. He didn't reply back to me so without hesitation I went ahead and got him a taco. He later responded rudely and told me "Too late the lady already getting me somethin'.." I already purchased a taco for him so I gave it to him and told him to "just take it, and you can always eat it later." My point is that I don't know how often this homeless man comes around but it's annoying and not welcoming when you enter the premises of the restaurant. Doing a good deed of kindness is something I always do, but in this case the homeless person was hostile and did not show any appreciation. He should not make customers like us feel obligated to buy food for him, especially when you have your kids to feed. read more

I've frequented this Del Taco location the most whenever I'm in the South Bay, but sometimes it's hard to choose between going here or to the super-close El Pollo Loco. My decision usually rests on whether I'm craving a burrito (go to Del Taco) or a tostada salad (then El Pollo wins) ... and how badly I'm wanting those fresh, Crinkle fries (Del Taco). I've gotten several things from Del Taco thus far, and I usually went for dinner. Here's what I would recommend: "Chili Cheese Fries": I've gotten these fries both, as an entrée and to share with a friend when we ordered separate meals. Featuring the famous crinkle fries loaded generously with chili and Cheddar cheese, I liked this snack because the chili wasn't overwhelmingly heavy ... and it didn't give me an upset stomach. "Epic Chicken Chipotle Ranch": I got this burrito for dinner once when I was absolutely starving, and it definitely filled me up! One of my favorite burritos from this place, this colossal concoction features marinated grilled chicken, fresca lime rice, tangy chipotle and cool ranch sauces, crispy bacon, Cheddar cheese, lettuce, guacamole and pico de gallo salsa. I ordered my burrito sans the pico and guac, but I still enjoyed the medley of savory items. The ranch and chipotle sauces gave the burrito a refreshing yet slightly spicy kick, and I could aptly taste the bacon bits and Cheddar mixed in throughout. I'd get this burrito again when I have monster-sized hunger. "Deluxe Taco Salad": Though I have enjoyed this tostada-like salad before, I think I still prefer the one at El Pollo Loco -- it seemed bigger and contained more of each ingredient. However, the version at Del Taco was still filled with some of my favorites. This salad includes your choice of grilled chicken, seasoned beef or turkey (I went for the grilled chicken), beans and tomatoes (I ordered mine without), Cheddar cheese, sour cream, guac and taco sauce, all mixed together and served in a crunchy tortilla bowl. Again, I enjoyed the salad itself; I just found the chicken serving to be rather sparse and the ingredients weren't mixed very well (I had to do most of the mixing myself). But I liked the crispy, crunchy outer shell -- that definitely makes this salad amazing. "Beer-Battered Fish Taco": I like the fish tacos at DT because they're light and refreshing ... but one is definitely not enough to fill you up unless you're looking for a light snack (get two or the meal combo). But each taco features a hand-cut Alaskan Pollock fillet fried in a crispy batter beer and is topped with cabbage, savory secret sauce and handmade pico. I usually get my fish tacos without the pico, but I enjoy the refreshing taste with the sauce's slight kick. Though I prefer flour tortillas over corn tortillas, I have to admit that the fresh, warm corn tortillas make the taco seem more authentic. "CrunchTada Tostada": This is basically the mini, one-layer version of the "Deluxe Taco Salad." I got it once when I ordered several items from the "Buck and Under" menu, so I was expecting to get something bite-sized. This snack features a wavy, crunchy corn shell topped with beans, taco sauce, lettuce and Cheddar cheese. Basically, it's like the "Deluxe Salad" without any meat. Again, this won't satisfy in terms of a meal, but it's a great light snack. "Cinnamon Churros": I often get these cinnamon-laden churros as a snack to top off my meal (they're pretty cheap). Although they aren't the same as the ones you find in Disneyland, these churros are still pretty good -- smaller, but still light, crispy and coated generously in cinnamon sugar. "Chocolate Shake": I've only had the chocolate shake once (yay for free coupons), but it was much thicker than I thought it would be! The creamy malt was delicious and satisfied my craving for something sweet, but I definitely needed a thicker straw than the one provided to drink it. read more

Taco Tuesdays is the reason I come here. They have 3 tacos for $1.09 or three classic tacos which include more meat, cheese and tomatoes for $2.09. They always have their bean and cheese burritos for .99 cents. What a bargain! I recently tried their new Sante Fe Tacos (they come with corn, black beans and a chipotle sauce) and they were FANTASTIC. I also really like their jalapeno poppers that come with a white dipping sauce! They also serve up breakfast which my boyfriend says is good but I haven't tried it yet... I only use the drive thru here but the service is SO fast and friendly and they give lots of hot sauce packets. Del Taco is really a great place to get a lot of good food for really really cheap!!! read more
