Came in recently because I'm a sucker for promotional meals. I saw that they were doing a promotion with X-Men 97 and I knew I had to at least try to get the Wolverine figurine lol. I visited a few locations of Dave's Hot Chicken now and I'm glad to see that their food is consistently good. Yes they are a big Chain but honestly sometimes if you have a good product, it's just a good product. This particular visit was pleasant because the person taking my order and the person handing out the food were just so friendly. I think they trained well because they were super polite and kept them asking if I need anything else. This was my first time visiting this Dave's Hot Chicken location. The restaurant is clean, modern, and has unique painted artwork on the walls that gives it a fun vibe. Parking is available in the shared plaza lot. Since the restaurant is located on the corner, there are multiple ways to walk up to it, but there's only one entrance. The entrance opens directly into the dining area. To the left is a narrow hallway with windows overlooking the street that passes the fountain drink station. If several people are waiting for their orders, this area can feel a bit cramped. Near the dining area, there's a monitor that displays the status of online and delivery orders (such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, and app orders), making it easy to see when your order is ready without having to ask the staff. The staff was friendly, although my interaction was brief since I ordered ahead through the app and only stopped in to pick up my food. The menu used to be so simple, but it's expanded so the variety of options ensures there's a little something for everyone. In short: Friendly staff, casual setting, well-seasoned food, and fairly priced imo. Shoutout to Eddy and Andrew for working with a smile during the night shift! The last two times I came (midnight + 9PM), it was on the busier side of things. I waited for my food a little longer than the average wait time, but I didn't mind. Their mac and cheese is liquid gold. Medium-spiced tenders are great for people who like a little heat, but still want to enjoy the chicken overall. It's my son's favorite Chicken sandwich place. Although my spice tolerance is high, I was fine with spicy or regular. I dont think I can go for spicier. I ordered the fries and tenders, which were perfectly crispy with just the right level of heat. Since I'm not a fan of super spicy food, I appreciated that they offer a hot-but-not-too-spicy option. The tenders were huge and satisfying, and the dipping sauce made them even more delicious. The crinkle-cut fries are one of my favorites, and of course, no hot chicken meal is complete without white bread and pickles! I witnessed one of the most digusting things at this Daves Hot Chicken. A young child who was waiting impatiently for their order walked to the front counter next to the cash register and wiped their nose or their bandaid that was in their mouth and hand and smeared a gob of red stuff all over the metal counter. He wanted hot chicken, I wasn't hungry so I hopped on over to Dave's and procured a couple of Extra Hot fingers for him. He said they were decent and he enjoyed the spiciness. I should have at least had a bite, but I didn't so I have to relay his opinion here. I ordered online - it was easy and was ready in about 20 minutes. A quick drive to the shop and my order was ready when I arrived. The fingers traveled well, that is they were not soggy in the container - an issue that plagues many hot items packed to go. These were crispy fresh. He gobbled 'em down and mentioned he wasn't really sure why he didn't opt for the Reaper heat. He's got an asbestos mouth and stomach, so we'll have to remember that for next time. His enjoyment prompted me to make a note that a hot chicken sammich would be in the cards sometime in the future. I have a fav hot chicken sammich joint, but it's at least a 20 minute drive. 15 more minutes than Dave's. Loads of parking. Online ordering was super. Went here at 1am a few days ago. I got the #3 combo, a slider and a tender with fries. I initially ordered via their kiosk but the payment device reset. Then I placed an order online for pickup since there was one person at the front and they seemed busy with expediting orders. Make order came out about 15 minutes later than expected. Other than that, customer service was decent. All the employees seemed friendly. For my order: Slider was great. The chicken had a nice crunch to it and seasoning was on point. I liked that they added a bunch of pickles to go with it. Tender was smaller than I expected but the batter was great and it had some nice heat to it. Fries were nicely seasoned and crisp. Wow this location is the spot. The service was fantastic. Jorge and (forgive me I think it was Travis) were fantastic! The nugget ice was a nice surprise! The chicken spice level of mild and medium with the sauce was delicious. The cuts of chicken felt a little chewy at times but still worth the trip to grab some chicken. The interior has seating and you can also order to go. They have a buzzer to give you so you know when your food is ready. Still on our mission to try every chicken sandwich in the South Bay, we decided to make a stop at Dave's Hot Chicken today. Cute spot with great murals. Easy to order, friendly order taker at the counter, and easy to read menu. Only complaints at this point was the very limited seating...it took a minute to find an open table. And a few of the drink dispensers were not working at all. One of the soda flavors was completely out, so it took a few tries to find a soda that tasted right. Our orders were ready fairly quickly, but despite us stating "eat in" we ended up with our food in to-go containers and not baskets. I went with the #4: slider and fries. Hubs got the #2: two sliders (because he was picturing a small pub sized slider and not a full sandwich that it turned out to be). The sandwiches were nice and crunchy, a plus. Relatively moist. But not as hot as I normally like. I'd heard mixed reviews on the spice levels so we decided to go with medium heat. It had a little heat to it, but not much of that warm burn that I was expecting, so will probably turn up the heat next time (and be able to use those extra honey packets that we didn't need in the end).
