Was there grabbing my lunch when a homeless man approaches and asked me for something. It looked like he was asking for water so I told the cashier he seems to be asking for water. He gave it to him as I took off. When I was about to leave, I didn't have napkins and hot sauce so I went back in. The homeless guy was still there giving me the mean look and stink-eye at me while he was telling another customer what to order for him, so she was obligated to get him a combo meal. I then also offered and asked the homeless guy if he wants anything in addition with the food she was getting him. He didn't reply back to me so without hesitation I went ahead and got him a taco. He later responded rudely and told me "Too late the lady already getting me somethin'.." I already purchased a taco for him so I gave it to him and told him to "just take it, and you can always eat it later." My point is that I don't know how often this homeless man comes around but it's annoying and not welcoming when you enter the premises of the restaurant. Doing a good deed of kindness is something I always do, but in this case the homeless person was hostile and did not show any appreciation. He should not make customers like us feel obligated to buy food for him, especially when you have your kids to feed. read more

I ordered an Avocado Veggie Fresca Bowl. The avocado was so hard that I couldn't stick my fork in it. I showed it to the manager and asked if she could get me an avocado that was eatable, but she said they only had the bad avocados. My question is "Then why serve it to customers?" If I could rate any lower I would. Ordered 15 menu items and asked for mild and inferno sauce assuming they would be reasonably generous with the sauce. What I recieve with my meal is 4 miles and for scorcho sauces. How is that even remotely enough? Its not even the right sauces and i even got Ketchup which I didn't even ask for.. This always happens and for me, the sauces are absolutely necessary. I end up wasting my money because I don't want to eat anymore. The employees need to pay attention to what's asked of them. Just left the place at 1:10 pm on 5/17 and the dude at the drive up window has his masked half arsed on. The whole time I see him putting the food together no gloves mask is on only over his mouth, so I say something to him. Absolutely stay away from this place - it's Ptomaine Central. The food is old and undercooked and even though it has an "A" Rating, the Kitchen Area doesn't look very clean. I went though the drive-through today for the taco Thursday deal. I order 6 tacos and ask for hot sauce, order comes out quickly and the bags seems pretty hefty. After driving about 5 miles home I notice that the bag only has 4 tacos and literally 3 handfuls of Del Infierno sauce packets (like 20 packets). 5 sauce packs for each taco, lol WTH... I've always liked Del Taco, but they seem unable to understand that the rest of the world has moved on from COVID. Their restaurants still have their soda fountains closed down, but worse yet, this location has closed their restrooms to customers. (They are open to employees, so they are not out of order). Horrible people running this location. I've went three times in one week and every time they tell me, "the system is down, we can not take your order." And this last time I heard one employee whisper to the employee with the microphone, " just tell him our system is not working". This is why you guys work at del taco. Ok. I get it. We came through the drive through at 1am, but if you're open, you should be ready to serve food. We waited for a while before someone answered the drive through, actually there were 2 employees OUTSIDE the restaurant... we asked if they were closed and one of them walked inside... then the guy who was serving us looked really lost. We ordered 4 chicken soft tacos, and the garbage that we got was ridiculous. I can't even bring myself to believe that this was ok. There was 2-3 small pieces of chicken, some extra bits of chicken shreds and random pieces of lettuce in our tacos. There might have been enough chicken and cheese in all 4 tacos to make one regular taco. I went here at 8:15pm last night. I tried to order a Macho Combo Burrito--and was informed they were out of tortillas for the macho burritos. Ok. And then before I could even order my alternate "bean and cheese" burritos.. I was informed they were out of beans too. Really? Hubs is a big fan of this spot when visiting Cali, but I never tried them in the past when we would stop by for quick eats in between shopping/venturing. However, this time I decided to give their turkey tacos a try and boy were they good! The fries they came with weren't that bad either. I also wanted to commend the young man who served us in the drive through. It was late in the evening when we stopped by and he had the most delightful customer service we've ever experienced. 03/19/2021: Horrible, Horrible, horrible customer service!! I would give them 0 stars if it let me!!! Just went thru the drive thru, no one was behind me, so I was trying to review the menu with the new items. The guy taking my order kept rushing, asking is that it? Is that it, not even giving me a chance to review the menu! I felt so rushed!! So I finally get my order for 4 people and of course forgot the guacamole that I saw on the menu. I get to the window and I ask if i can add... and before I could even ask, the rudest customer service guy, interrupts and says you can't add anything to the order after you get to the window. I said really.., not even a side of guacamole?! You don't have to do much to get a side of guacamole!!! He just kept saying no you can't order anything at the window. Honestly If i didn't want the tacos I would have left!' He was so rude, didn't smile, looked like he didn't want to be there, didn't say thank you just plain rude! I didn't get his name but it was Friday, 03/19/2021 at 1:30. He was the bald guy taking orders. Maybe you can find out who worked that day and re-educate your employees or you'll lose customers! I ordered a burger with extra sauce and was given no sauce. I went in to correct the matter and Abel saw me holding the burger and didn't wait for me to ask. He asked me, corrected what was wrong with my burger, gave me a couple of chocolate chip cookies (which I love) and was VERY NICE and CORDIAL and PROFESSIONAL. The gal who actually fixed my burger was super nice as well. I'm trying to think of why I haven't posted a 5 star review on this location given how many times I've come through here and received great and friendly service.
