Recent visit to the coast and saw this. Ordered a haddock basket at the "Shack" and while I was waiting I went to their store. I bought their made Crab Rangoon , shrimp and fresh crabmeat. The store also has Fish, lobsters and different varieties of everything seafood with fresh or frozen options. Plus check out their Facebook page for specials like Lobster Mac n cheese. They were kind to offer to double bag with ice as I was 45 mins from home. Excellent customer service. I then went and picked up my order and ate it at the picnic tables available while watching people coming and going. Check them out they have it all! read more

The biggest, freshest and best priced crab rolls around, and friendly service as well as they remember my the order I usually make :) They are currently expanding their space so folks can dine under cover and probably make the kitchen a bit bigger as well. read more

Great little place to stop for lunch on our adventures with Ollie Sunday!! Ollie give it 5 stars also!! We love Delano's! Their haddock Reuben is fabulous. The clam basket is huge and everything is fresh and made right there. Shopping in the market is fun and they do have the freshest local seafood around. read more

Who knew I would find a lobster shack open in Maine in mid-February? It was unexpected and a total gem! The owner's daughter convinced me to try the Lobster Club sandwich, mind you I am a Lobster roll purist. Sublime and fantastic don't even come close to describing it! So much so, I went back the next night and brought a friend who also fell in love with this tiny establishment! Even their Whoopi Pies were amazing! Definitely worth the drive from anywhere! I mean in June I am driving up from the New York City area for my new favorite sandwich! read more

Figured give this place a chance, though my issue with the lady working there her attitude was nothing short but awful. The matter of the fact is the white board posted with the items and prices the board said lobster roll and the whole lobster roll price said $34 it seemed a bit drastic, we asked about the food and the lady had said how it was from when they had a sell the lady said it was $38 actually. 38! No thank you it's highly unnecessary. The shack I gone the day beforehand sold rolls for $16.99. If you want anything even within Delano then I suggest their marketplace right next door they have souvenirs, snacks, etc. the pricing I believe was said by the lady at the register was because they're trying to take advantage knowing if someone is gullible they may give into $38 I believe they aren't doing to well with it not peak season so they do anything to bleed you dry of your cash read more

Bad customer service/attitude from the young girl taking the orders. ALSO...since when do you CHARGE MORE than what you have written on the board of daily updated prices? You want to charge $38 for a lobster roll??? CRAZY! Bad enough it was already priced at $34 on your DAILY price board yet you tell me it was a mistake. That was the sale price from the other day. DISHONEST with a healthy side item of justified overcharging! I ordered Fish and Chips. The bill came to $2.50 more than listed price and tax. I asked why and was told not to trust posted menu prices because prices are "subject to change". Well, I don't care if they choose to change prices but I do care that they do it in a hidden manner. I told this to the owner suggesting they change the menu prices so the customer would know. He said they are too busy to update the prices. Wow. He then got very angry/defensive, refused to honor the quoted price and kicked me off the property. My advice, only go there if 1) you don't mind being OVERCHARGED without your awareness, and 2) you prefer to support a DISHONEST business. read more

The large order was half of what you get at the Rockland Cafe, and it isn't as good! I laughed out loud at the audacity they had to give me a spoonful of coleslaw! Never ever going here again. We were heading north on 1A, glad we didn't stop at the long line we saw 10 min south of this place. Who knows a lobster roll better than the owner of a seafood market! Succulent lobster 1/4 pound (but you can pay for more!) very lightly dressed, piled on the perfectly toasted, buttery buttery bun! Added a bag of chips and a Diet Coke from their HUGE menu! read more
