Rachael and another employee took a lot of time guiding me through the store and answering my questions. I was especially looking for a shirt because a few years ago I had purchased a John Lennon shirt for myself and absolutely love it. Rachael showed me a beautiful Desigual shirt and I knew that my partner would truly like it. When I had finished paying for the three gifts, Rachael then offered to wrap them. She did a magnificent job and this past Saturday my partner opened his gifts. He was absolutely amazed by the Desigual shirt and insisted on wearing it to dinner that evening. It looked great on him! We stopped in the other day because my husband had purchased a blouse for me for my birthday, but it was too small (he didn't know that imports typically run pretty tiny). We brought it back to exchange, but of course Husband lost the receipt. They were very friendly about it, and let me use a store credit, which I put towards this beautiful purse. The only advice that I would give to the owners (small business owner to small business owner) is that they may want to revisit their return policy and post it clearly for all to see. No small business likes to take returns, but when you feature items that people typically buy as gifts, you need a clear return policy. It just saves headaches. I'd suggest store credit only within 30 days, and with proof of purchase. That could be either receipt, gift receipt, or bank transaction on your phone app (which is what they used to determine the price of our returned item). Something like that? Just a suggestion.
