Wonderful Polish centric art/craft store in downtown Hamtramck. This store has a fairly large…read moreselection of artworks that includes ceramics, glassware, matruska , woodwork and the list goes on and on. Lots of nice authentic artwork to see and appreciate, definately NOT MADE IN CHINA, where my personal favorites were their large Christmas ornament selection and their glassware. To that end, I ended up buying a couple beautiful whiskey glasses to add to my bar collection with the Polish Eagle engraved on the heavy weight glass. These glasses are visually stunning and will be very much appreciated and a talking point for my extended Polish family. (: Whether you are Polish or not, there is so many nice/beautiful things to see at this store that you should definately check it out if you are in the area. In a world that is full of cheap junk/trinkets that are mass produced a store like this stands out for both its quality and beauty and should not be missed if you are in the area. I really appreciate that every month they have a different scent on special, and a charity candle for Ukraine they say they'll sell until the war is over. Siouxsan and company are great local business owners, the shop to me is a staple in my neighborhood. Once a year they have an extra big sale to clear out inventory and bring in vintage items as well (early summer). They also have punch cards to earn a free candle! I absolutely love and support this shop as often as I can.

She was able to guide me in choosing a invitations suite for my upcoming wedding without breaking the bank. I was also happy to order thank you cards for both the wedding and the bridal shower! She assisted my mom in selecting invitations for a bridal brunch she is hosting. Sue is able to print in house for envelopes and casual invitations. Any correspondence was met with a quick response making the whole process a breeze! I could go on and on! I can't wait for the next time I have stationary needs, because I know exactly where I will be going!

Graffiti in jewelry: Check! A hands on experience: Check! If you follow me, you know I love graffiti. This is right up my alley! Women are sent around the city to retrieve pieces of layered up spray paint from graffiti that has flaked off the buildings. The pieces are either turned into art by RN or left for those who want a hands on experience to choose and make their own piece of jewelry! First you identify what you want to make (a bracelet, keychain, etc...) You sift through the graffiti pieces, identify the color and exact spot you want featured in your jewelry. Staff helps you place the cut out mold on your piece and you get to crank the press to cut out the graffiti you desire. The piece then gets sent to production to a place where women are learning this craft. My necklace shape was on backorder so it did take a month to obtain in the mail. They alerted me ahead of time and it was a exciting to receive it in the mail! I can share it is a pricey adventure. Especially the fact that it's minimal hands on. If I wasn't such a lover of graffiti (and I have no graffiti jewelry) I would have passed but I couldn't pass this up! It's also a good cause.

The first item we were to design was designated for the local homeless community. The second item of our choice was whatever we picked. This was a super fun experience. It brought us all together creatively, supportive, and we all walked away with a story to tell.
