Arrived at noon on a Saturday and got seated right away. It's clean, modern and open. Our waitress, Isabella, was perfect. Give her a raise! She made us feel like we were her only table despite a busy day. My kids had pancakes and bacon, I had a Reuben with steak fries and I took a whole wheat Mediterranean wrap with gyro meat and sweet potato fries to go. Our food was delicious and we'll definitely return.

    Swell wallpaper in the entryway!

Wow! Honestly, the best Eggs Florentine I have ever had. Eggs were perfectly cooked (I love that gush) but more amazing was the spinach and feta blend beneath that perfect egg. And when I asked about the home fries, the waitress offered that she could make them extra crispy (psychic!). Our waitress was fabulous! Breakfast is always better a rockstar! Bottomless coffee and attention without hovering. We were seated near the back where it would be quieter (to help us hear) but ended up right under a speaker. She promptly turned the music down on request. Bright and clean, the vibe is fresh with a wee bit of moxie (check out the swell wallpaper in the entrance.) I will definitely be back.

Our take out was so good yesterday that we went back today and stayed for lunch! My work pal and I wanted to try all of the cool little restaurants in the corner and we picked this yesterday. We brought the food back to our office. I got the chicken Souvlaki with the side of sweet potato fries. So good and the perfect lunch size! Very fresh. I think next time I'll ask for more Taziki sauce but only because I like it so much. Today I got a turkey club with a side of Mac salad. Again perfect lunch size it was big but it wasn't overwhelming I almost ate the whole thing. The macaroni salad was really good. It had little bits of carrots and celery in it and was cold. Mmm The service was great. Very friendly staff. The place is immaculate. Bright and shiny although it is painted dark. They're open from 7 to 3 so make sure you get there! I can't wait to try their breakfast.

I've been there 3 times this week! Outstanding cleanliness, food, service and smiles. The menu items are both diverse AND fresh. The Split Pea Soup and Tuna Melt have been my favorites so far. On deck though are the Virginia ham and The Chicken Cheesesteak. I can't wait! Mom loved the fresh Spanakopita and the Eggs Benedict.

The good: Food is consistent and is what you would expect from a plaza cafe. Service is prompt, efficient and courteous. Busters work vey hard and are to be admired for their efficiency. Facility is clean and pleasant. The bad: Pricing. I ordered quiche of the day which came with a side salad. I was charged for the dressing to go on my salad... not for extra dressing, just that which would ordinarily accompany a salad. In general the prices are at the higher end for this style of cafe, but I guess the owner must feel that in Delmar he can get away with it. But charging for salad dressing????? Just on principle, I won't be going back.

Mmmm delicious. The cigar rolls were so good we ordered another one. It comes with five rolls and a side of tahini. Crispy and fluffy with feta. The falafel comes halved and was crispy and delicious. Everyone pretty much tried everyone's dish because you just had to. I got the chicken shish. It came with a generous amount of char grilled juicy chicken chunks on a flat pita with a generous portion of yellow rice and a side salad. Dinner mate got the braised lamb shank and the other got the braised short ribs. They both came with generous sides. The asparagus was nice and tender. The short ribs just melted in my mouth. The chicken kavourma came fancy and just bursted with flavor with lots of chicken and vegetables. I didn't get to try the lamb because it got gobbled down so fast. The strawberry mimosa was delicious too. A must try in that row of restaurants on Madison. We got the best spot in the house, the window seat, where we saw people walking their dogs and lots of friendly people waving with their dogs and cars with dogs and cool cars driving by. Very entertaining for a seven year old. Baklava with ice cream for dessert. Amazing! They do not have a kids menu so if you have a picky eater, plan ahead! We did make a reservation for a party of five.

Nice selection of adult drinks/beverages. The Mezze platter appetizer was a great way to start off and try five of their Greek spreads with pita; They were all very tasty, with the highlights for me being the Tzatziki and the Tirokafteri. Do not skip out on the Lamb Chop Lollipops appetizer, which was flavorful and grilled to perfection. As if the entire experience wasn't already more than enough, I would come back for those alone. THE BEST sear on the salmon with the Salmon Scaloppini entree. The sauce, salad and mashed potatoes paired perfectly. With the Lamb Souvlaki entree came the most tender, succulent lamb and I don't know how they made rice taste SO good. For dessert the Greek Baklava was the best I have ever had with well blended textures and flavors. Truly the cherry on top of an excellent dining experience!

I also tried the Elysium martini, which as promised was super strong, but it was probably the only thing I tried during my entire visit that I wouldn't order again. I would have liked a little more of the olive brine and lemon verbena flavors to come through, most sips really just tasted like vodka. The meal only got better and better from there, though! We ordered a couple of the Mezze spreads with pita, the beets, and the roasted parsnips to start. Everything was delicious but the parsnips were an absolute home run, everyone at the table was blown away by how flavorful such a simple veggie could be. (Hit on "Greek" because of the lunch options and "eggs" for the breakfast.) After a brief wait, we were seated along with what seemed to be mostly be well known regulars. The Sunday specials looked really good, and I really had to make a tough choice. I'm a sucker for house made corned beef hash, but when I saw Eggs Electra, I had to try it (always try something different). I mean, thin slices of lamb and tomato, a homemade "feta biscuit" (what was that anyway?), and hollandaise - had to try it. The feta biscuit was the star of the show. Apparently grill-toasted, crispy on the top and biscuit-crumbly, it was loaded with flavor. I could eat one of those every day and be very happy. The lamb slices (~4-5 layers) were thin and just enough for the combination. Of the two eggs, one was a over cooked (tiny pocket of runny yolk, but mostly hard cooked) and the other was perfect. The hollandaise was smooth and looked good, but lacking in flavor. More lemon would help a lot - maybe order with a request until a couple lemon wedges. It's a lot of food, possibly a good thing to split (and get a side of the corned beef hash?). My wife had the traditional eggs Benedict and had the same egg issue (one hard, one perfect) and the same comment about the hollandaise. Because hers was just on an English muffin, she didn't have the extra flavor, and said it was "OK." That's a limited sampling, and I'd probably give it another evaluation if I'm in the area again. The 4+ rating is fair, so see what you think.
