A place I wanted to love, and it's close to my house. I try to support local businesses whenever I can. The breakfast burritos are terrific though the cinnamon rolls are often overbaked. Bagels taste good but one time they were plain awful (the owner admitted to dough issues that day). The issue is that I've found the bakery open only about half the time I drop by during listed business hours. A few times they were closed early, then the last time I went (last weekend) they were completely closed, with the sign stating "staffing issues." Don't think I'll go back again unless the baked items improve or their hours become more consistent--preferably both! read more

I keep forgetting to post a review! Weeks and weeks ago I saw a post on FB that there was pickle bagels. With me being a pickle fiend I drug my husband over there the next morning to obtain a pickle bagels. Sadly my hubby is not a pickle nut like I am. I think he got a cookie or something. It's been awhile. He really liked it. I LOVED my pickle bagel! It's a great little bakery with a lot of great options. I believe we will try the cinnamon rolls tomorrow morning! Service was great and efficient. They were helping other customers but let us know they would be helping out a shortly. Definitely going back! It's a local gem! read more

If you're in RR and looking for a local bakery, this spot is a must-visit! The cinnamon rolls are massive--perfect for sharing--and absolutely delicious. I was especially impressed with the lemon key pie and the Chantilly cupcakes; both were full of flavor without being overly sweet. We stopped by on a Friday and I pre-ordered four cupcakes for the next day, and I'm so glad I did. The owner was incredibly sweet--though I had only ordered four, she gave me six! Everything tasted homemade, and you can really tell they put a lot of love into their baked goods. If you know me and how particular I am about baking, you'll understand why I say: this place is it for me. The only item that didn't quite hit the mark was the pretzel--it was a bit tougher than I expected. But overall, this bakery is a gem, and I'll definitely be back! read more

This was my first time at Delectable Baking. I won a box of cookies and a drink of choice. While the location doesn't have a drive thru (only reason I didn't give it 5 stars) I tried the stuffed salted caramel cookie first and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too sweet. It was a moist and flavorful cookie and big enough to share, assuming you want to. So you may not be aware it's there. But it's just east of Unser on Northern on the South Side. Great spot where you could even sit and drink a cool or hot beverage and take in the fun artwork on the walls and talk to the kind staff. If you're out crewing for balloon fiesta and just waiting, stop in and grab a coffee, latte, etc with a cinnamon roll (which I need to still try) and a cookie or two. I found the cream cheese on the key lime cookie to be light with sweet tartness. Again it's just enough sweetness and not overly sweet which I prefer. Kinda makes me feel less guilty indulging . I bought French bread 4$. It was heavy. I went home cut through it and it wasn't baked all the way. I put it in oven for 20 mins and it was hard as a ROCK. I threw it away. Not going there again. That was my first visit. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I stopped in last week and ordered three pastries to take home and share with some special people who were coming for coffee with me. First lets talk about what they said was a cinnamon roll? It had none of that wonderfulness that you expect to see within the roll part.... no butter with cinnamon and something to sweeten it. It was absolutely the worst example of a cinnamon roll I have ever tasted. Next on to whatever that roll thing was with the chocolate inside... it had no flavor and the dough was raw on the inside, no other way to describe it other than just plain yuk. Third was the pastry they called a bear claw. I come from a long line of bear claw eaters and at best this was a bit of almond paste slapped into some puff pastry. A bear claw is called a bear claw because it is actually supposed to look like one. It will have the claws, be a nice golden brown not a pale turnover pastry color (that's the wrong pastry for a bear claw) and it should positively have some slivered almonds for extra crunch. Try googling it and you will see. Whatever that is you are trying to pass off as a bear claw it missed the mark in epic proportions. I was not the only one in my party that felt this way about their pastries... we all agreed that one try was one try too many. If you are not a baker please don't fake it. It is unfair tho the customers who know what a great bakery is all about.... quality ingredients, perfected techniques and a heart for baking.... ahhh the good ole days! You could turn this around if you really want to, just need to practice some skills and have a true desire to make people happy through your food. That's what its all about! read more

Took my family for 5 for the Stranger Things cinnamon rolls but wanted to try other baked goods as well. It was a sad display, broken cookies, broken banana bread, some jam inside a puff pastry. Empty spinning pie case. no selection at all. we got the stranger things rolls and tried to order coffee and the server said they didn't have coffee made. no silverware to eat the rolls at their tables, took home to eat. Rolls were dry had to warm up in the microwave to somewhat edible. Tasted like dough with Oreos. customet service was a 2 at best. Drove 45 mins to visit this place. will not be back. read more

The bagels are not bagels at all. They are very light and fluffy and taste like a dinner roll. They have no bagel texture to them whatsoever. However, the flavor was good. Just they are definitely not bagels. Really disappointed because I was really craving a real bagel. Guess I'm going to the Jewish center to get them. read more

If they are not boiled before they are baked, they ain't bagels! And even if they are boiled first, they may not be good bagels, like the ones in supermarkets or Einstein. This New Yorker born and raised knows really good bagels and haven't really had any west of the Mississippi River, sad to say. Please let me know of any in ABQ area. Thanks. read more

I was so excited when I fell in love with one of their cakes, from their order hisrory so I ordered it for my mother's 80th birthday party. EPIC DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!! It was lopsided... color didn't match at all... it was covered in wilting flowers... the taste was terrible, it was dry and NOT what I ordered. I went to the cake shop (they wouldnt answer the phone) to see if they would make it right and I was told there was nothing that the employee can do about it. I left a message for the owner to call to make it right and she NEVER got back to me. Shame really....there was atleast 10 new customers to gain from my party....all I can say is good luck...I really hope you conduct yourself professionally in the future. I placed an order on April 25 to pick up a key lime pie on July 25th. I asked if she could write a message on the pie and she said yes. I emailed the owner on 7/13 to ask if it would be ok to come on 7/23 at 12:30pm instead. 10 days before pick up. She said sure! I arrive on said day and time and let the front worker know I was there to pick up the pie. She comes back with no pie and says the owner doesn't have enough ingredients for the pie so was wondering if I could come back tomorrow. This place is located in Rio Rancho Ave I live in Santa Fe. I specifically asked to pick this pie up on this day because I was going to be in the area. I asked the worker if I could just get my money back. She goes back again to talk to the owner then comes to the front again to say that the pie is actually made, but she doesn't have enough ingredients to finish the top and would give me a cookie for free. At this point, not only am I annoyed that the owner didn't fulfill this order correctly, but she can't even come out to talk to me and instead makes her poor worker be some middle person. She also didn't call me to let me know and basically just let me show up and find out she messed up. I just didn't want to deal with the situation anymore so I said sure whatever. After experiencing how this owner treats not only her workers, but the customer, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. read more

Delicious & really great prices! I kept meaning to stop in but with the hours and days it's open, every time I tried I either couldn't or they were closed. They had a $1 bagel sale so I got several and they are delicious! Next time I'm definitely trying the pickle sliders!! read more

it was so awful it made me sad, the way the cookies were made was as if they wanted to make a dry flavorless scone and there "Delectable matcha" was as if they put blue food dye in a cup of milk with ice. The poor workers that make these cookies, they'll probably develop growths on their hands from touching what is virtually cancer. read more
