We stood there for over a minute and when I finally greeted him with a smile, he acted like I was interrupting his speech to congress. We asked for a cookie sandwich and received 2 cookies and a dish of ice cream - like, the IKEA version. I asked for "classic" instead of deluxe and was told that didn't exist. I took a picture of it to prove it does. So, either the worker was clueless or the menu needs updating. 3.5 stars A little bit of a drive from my house, but parking was easy and service was quick and friendly. They were out of several kinds of cookies, but I was after the key lime coconut ice cream. For 2 smaller scoops, it was close to $6. It did have a strong key lime flavor, but couldn't see many coconut flakes. I got to do a survey for a free cookie. Great cookies and I feel a fair price for what you get. We got the limited time special cereal cookie for 3 dollars that was warm and soft with still crispy edges. We also got the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie which was 4.25 and much larger. I think a key thing to this is they serve all their cookies warm and slightly melty in the center and crispy on the outside and they are awesome. First time trying this place. I've seen them on the delivery apps, and have heard so much buzz about them on social media I figured with the free time I had might as well give them a shot. Walking in there was a guy at the register, he didn't greet me walking in which didn't bother me. I mentioned to him that it was my first time there and he didn't seem to care much and said oh ok we have a good amount of stuff. Didn't give me a run down on the menu or anything of value to take away to give me a better scope of what I wanted so I perused the menu for a minute to execute a decision. I ended up getting a dozen of the classic cookies picking an assortment with a mix of chocolate chip, double chocolate, snickerdoodles, and of course the m&m's sugar cookie. They were quick about getting the order together and walked out with a small pizza box I held with pride like a trophy at the Daytona. After getting home and unveiling the box I wasn't too impressed with the presentation. I guess after having rude boy, and Crumble, my expectations were set a little high. The cookies overall tasted great, and I did appreciate the gooey factor in the chocolate chip ones that was slapping. I was however disappointed by the thinness. These are the cookies you definitely would be baking at home to satisfy that late night sweet tooth which I why I found them to be a little disappointing mainly on the value factor. For $20 a box I guess I expected it to be a little more epic and memorable. I really like the cookies, I kind of loathe the price for a cookie! That said the 6 we got were all wonderful, and all pretty fresh! We did the regular chocolate chip, 2 mint chocolate cookies, the M&M, the Bischochito, the Smore's cookie. My fave was the mint which is no surprise, I love mint everything. It was bomb though and so soft in the middle. My GF's fave was the smores cookie. I disliked that one, and it was just too much for me, but she loved it! The M&M cookie is lacking the most important ingredient, M&M'S!!!! But it was good still.....Would've been great if there were more than 3 M&M's in it....... The bischo was solid, nothing special, and the chocolate chip was pretty good as well.....Overpriced, but also unique offerings. We will definitely be back! read more

In my opinion, Insomnia Cookies is the choice for those super late night cravings when the other cookie spots are closed. It is in the name right? You come here late at night or even better, order delivery. This time around I got the lil dipper with icing box which is next level sugar crazy. It was awesome but also way too much for one person. Luckily you can stretch out a box over a few days. The cookies are really good but they aren't the best in town. There are definitely other options that I'd opt in during the day time but those places aren't open the same late hours. Side note, we didn't order ahead as I'm used to being able to just go inside. The first time we went here during our short two week visit was this past Tuesday and here we are again on Friday stopping by again. These cookies are amazing. Hands-down the best I have ever had. Last time we enjoyed the salted caramel, the s'mores, the confetti, and the peanut butter. All of which were the deluxe cookies. These come out warm and soft with delicious crisp edges. We did also tried the chocolate mint which was like a giant thin mint and oh so tasty. This time we had to get our favorites again which is the salted caramel delights cookie as well as the peanut butter cup deluxe cookie but we also tried the oatmeal chocolate walnut, The triple chocolate and an Irish cream cookie. The Irish cream cookie was so good and you could taste the alcohol in it. It tasted similar to a Guinness car bomb while hitting the sweet spot. Look, they have good cookies and they are open late. This gives them 2 stars. The rest, well, here it goes: Since the onset, "loyalty" points have been big to bring us back. We were drawn to this place because of them them. Today I went to check the balance of my points and there are ZERO, yet I have almost $100 in purchases in my history. I read the fine print "must be scanned before purchase." Ok, but how do you do that during the Pandemic? We thought we would ask when we picked the items we ordered up. However, when we asked the 10pm shift worker, Hollie, she said "I don't know. You should be getting them every time." The history was shown, the lack of points were shown, the QR code was shown, and yet she said "I don't know." When asked if there was someone who did know she said her "manager would be in tomorrow." Look, it is never ok leaving your staff without anyone capable of answering questions about a chain-store operation. It's bad business. It is your "brand" at stake. Kicker, our receipt said a "Garth" was our server, but this young blonde was no Garth. This makes me wonder if this chain-operation is just allowing one person to sign in-- with an MBA this makes me question their accountability practices. Will Garth or Hollie be accountable? Better yet, it is this chain-store that's accountable because this runs uphill. Did you know we had to physically go back to the store to get a real name because when you call in you're calling into their CHAIN CALL CENTER? They have zero clue what is happening "in-stores." I call this a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. There is mud all over your face now... Sigh. These weren't the only issues. There are tons of options for sweet-treats in Albuquerque. I love it!!! However, when you're paying $8 for a pint of ice cream (when thinking about a pint think the grab-and-go Ben & Jerry's) you expect it to be a pint. Unfortunately, they A) did not fill the pint up; B) to make matters worse they left the ice cream out and it melted before pick-up (*see photos*); C) it tasted NOTHING like "sea-salt caramel." These kids are playing in the store. I want to give credit to workers during a pandemic but I will never understand big-chains that try and take over towns but don't put the "mom & pop" love into their products and service. This experience was the equivalent to when I was making cookies, in high school, to sell for DECA: yes there was a goal, a product, and consumers but we were all just children playing grab-ass behind the teachers back. But I would argue my high school was more reliable and accountable. My recommendation for if you can catch your sweet tooth before 9pm on a weekday then I suggest Paletas or Frost Gelato or black-owned Q Cakes or La Madeleines or even our staple Flying Star!!! I can't wait till Rude Boy Cookies is 100% back up in business because they are also black owned and local, and I've NEVER had an issue with their cookies or ice cream. I've never had an issue with Flying Stars loyalty program. Loyalty is HUGE for me. Beware of where you spend your dollars during this politically and pandemic-dire time. 2/10 would not return. read more

Stopped in today and got curbside delivery. It was our 40th anniversary and I wanted something special for dessert. We were ordering dinner in and needed a dessert. We had the big cookie with chocolate chunk, white chocolate macadamia nut, and sugar cookie. It was fantastic and I really enjoyed that the icing on top of the cookie wasn't too sweet. My favorite cookie was the peanut butter but they have lots of other yummy options too. They also have milk you can get to go with your cookies which I wish we would have done! This is a bit of a late review so I apologize. The store is a little bit tucked in, in a little shopping center but once you find it, the smell drives you in. We visited twice back in February, one for fun and the second for Valentine's Day. The staff was very nice, the shop envelopes you in fresh baked cookies. When I visited, I tried five different varieties -- saving half of each for my better half -- and my mouth is watering remembering those bites. The only reason I'm going less than full five-star on this biz is because there's a local cookie shop around the corner that serves up hefty versions of this American classic. I knows that nothing compares to them anybody has seen, or let me know!
