His total project cost was competitive with the other quotes we received. We also wanted new baseboards that would match our freshly painted walls and trim. Dominic arranged to have the primed (but unpainted) 16' wood baseboards delivered ahead of installation, giving us time to paint everything before the carpet went in. Tip Our new carpet and pad are very soft and plush--great underfoot, especially on the stairs. Because the new flooring sits higher than the original laminate, our bedroom doors needed to be trimmed by about half an inch. We cut the doors ourselves, but it's worth asking whether your installer can include that as part of the project. Pros * Dominic is a true carpeting professional--he anticipated our needs and offered thoughtful guidance throughout the process. * Both the wood and carpet installation teams did solid, quality work.
