The daily specials and happy hour here are so good! I had the nachos and mango marg pictured here and they definitely hit the spot. Taco tuesdays are always good too. I love the Baja fish and shrimp tacos they serve but be aware it can get pretty packed towards. The servers here always accommodating and make the experience a good time as well. What an amazing event today. I called Yolanda, manager, to set up my mom's celebration of life and what a blessing. Yolanda was kind, professional and compassionate and helped me with the menu for 35 people. We also had strawberry margaritas. I spoke with Yolanda the day before and she had everything set and ready. I got there early today to set up and met Yolanda. The room was absolutely perfect. I then met with Blanca, Esvin, & Danny who did a fantastic job serving the amazing food, drinks and dessert. The food is great! At least what we ordered. Our server was very attentive with the food and especially refilling drinks. Thursdays Beer is 1/2 Off. We had Fajitas which were great, but the Green Aguachile Extra spicy was our favorite. The flan for dessert was not only good it is presented very well as you can see in the picture. read more

On Friday 3/6/26 after a long day I decided to go to dinner @El Zarape. I arrived at @ 5:15 was told by Hostess to sit where ever, many tables available. I ordered a shrimp plate of two shrimp burritos everything on it. The plate was brought to me hot nbut the food was lukewarm, I thought how odd, just them the crowds began coming in. I hurried and ate the beans and rice and half of one burrito, the shrimp were tough and not pink. Took the rest home and got rather stomach sick from it. The left over was really not cooked I microwaved the left overs and the shrimp turned pick. this meal cost me $32 with reg tea and tip. Not ever returning. read more

We arrived here about 4:30 p.m. The restaurant wasn't crowded. I ordered the senior Beef Tostada with rice and beans. My guest ordered a Beef Burrito. The waitress asked what sauce we wanted with our complimentary chips. It was a small bowl of chips with broken chips underneath. After receiving water to drink, we waited about 10 minutes for her to take our dinner order. Our food arrived within 15 minutes. The Beef Tostada had a good taste. Because the tostada was soaked with juice I couldn't pick it up to chew, so I had to break pieces of the shell to eat meat, lettuce (not much of it), bits of tomatoe pieces and very little sour cream and cheese on top. I ate the tostada with a fork. The beans were luke warm, but I didn't tell the waitress and the rice was warmer and the taste wasn't much to write about. Their prices were reasonable, compared to other Mexican restaurants in town. The tables were bare -no tablecloth. My napkin stuck to a part of the table, meaning it was sticky. I went to the restroom before leaving and was surprised that the floor appeared dirty and the tile had many chipped areas. The music was loud, but not enough we had to shout to talk. read more

But, add a shrimp taco and chile relleno and that's all we needed. The fish tacos were fine, the shrimp taco had great flavor but the star was the chile relleno. We ended up here for date night since our usual spot was closed, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. The food lacked flavor, and the portions were on the smaller side. Surprisingly, the best-tasting item on the plate was the beans; everything else was pretty disappointing. We're Mexican, so our expectations are always high for a Mexican restaurant. Adding to the experience, the karaoke (which was on the other side of the building) was extremely loud. I could barely hear my husband during our conversation, which made for a less-than-relaxing night out. Unless you're specifically looking for a place to enjoy karaoke, I wouldn't recommend it for the food or the atmosphere. We won't be coming back anytime soon. I recently went here with my wife and kid on a whim. It's been a few years since I last ate here and I remembered the food being decent. We went during the rush hour around 5 P.M. and I was pleasantly surprised by how fast we were seated and the staff even cleaned out a booth so we could sit there when requested. The booth we were sat at was near the center of the restaurant however it still kept a nice private atmosphere for conversation. Additionally the staff were very nice and the service was quick. The food was better than I remembered with one exception, the chile rellano. I am very picky when it comes to chile rellano because it's one of my favorite dishes, I was disappointed to find out that the one served here had almost no stuffing at all. The other dishes though were very good, my wife especially liked the carne asada tacos which was surprising as she almost never eats beef unless it's cooked the way she likes it.
