However, I think I'm going to come here more often for breakfast. I came on a late Sunday morning and stayed into the afternoon, it's a great place to hang with friends! It wasn't extremely busy, but there was definitely a nice, lovely atmosphere. Things definitely kicked up when my party left, loads of people bustled in! The girl at the register was pretty good, she had solid customer service skills. My food came out lighting fast. I was shocked with the fast service, i definitely appreciated it as I was starving haha. As for cleanliness, the restaurant is spotless. The salsa bar was well-kept and the floors were constantly being mopped. There's plenty of seating in this taqueria. I saw booths and tables scattered across. A throwback to a regular lunch spot back when we lived in town and regularly came here during high school. Food is still delicious with big portions and we love their salsa bar (especially since they have a chunky red salsa that we don't see often at other shops!). Service is friendly and quick at the counter and the inside is usually spacious and clean. It can get crowded on weekend dinner times but their takeout orders come out really fast. During our walk today I was reminded how I didn't want to cook and I am tired. I could smell the food coming from inside. All of the sudden I decided I needed a carne asada burrito. Because this IS Hemet, when I ordered I asked for the rice on the side rather than inside. I selected the green salsa and picked the red for my husband. We both enjoyed it. This place was really busy on Sunday around 1:30pm. There needs to be way more cleaning going on. The only reason I didn't take pics is because this could be a one off... it was like this before. I feel like this place is expensive but it really isn't. The rice was edible, but was not good. I did enjoy my burrito. The meat to cheese ratio was good also however the seasoning is a bit off. I would could come back again and ask for salt... is that rude? "Hi, I would like a carne asada burrito but could you put some seasoning in it for me?" We used to love this place. It was our go-to local taco shop for many years. Unfortunately, it's gone downhill. The food doesn't taste fresh, prices have been raised quite a bit (I know.....inflation....but the increases are too high to reflect that), and the place just isn't clean inside. Beyond that, the salsa situation has always been frustrating because the employees are not very friendly and tiny cups for the salsa bar are guarded behind the register. I can spend $90 there for a family dinner and they roll their eyes and act like I'm crazy when I ask for 10 tiny cups for our 6-8 items! That's less than 2 salsa cups per large burrito. Well, last night was the straw that broke the camel's back. I asked for salsa cups for my to-go order and was told that they were out of lids for the cups so I would have to travel with them that way unless I wanted to BUY the larger cups they have for salsa in order to have lids! I kinda feel like that's on them and the larger cups should've been provided free of cost, especially for my large order. I expressed that to the girl at the counter and she told me the owner said to charge for them. I told her I realized it was not in her control. She handed me my lidless salsa cups and offered to give me fold-top sandwich baggies to put the cups into. Needless to say, when I arrived home after carefully trying to transport this mess, we ended up with baggies of salsa with cups floating in them. We discovered a great alternative in town, (that) Mexican place, and even though it's across town from us, this experience ensures that we will go there every time from here on out rather than Taqueria Rancho Grande. read more

I feel like this place is a hidden gem here in Hemet. I've lived here since 2016 and never heard of it, but I'm glad I found it. The food here is delicious and one of the best out here. I found it through Yelp. I arrived to what I thought was gonna be a little hole in the wall, but I was oh so wrong. It's a nice size restaurant. I ordered my food to go, but next time I know to place a phone order so I don't have to wait in a long line. I waited no longer than about 10 min, which isn't too bad. I packed up my salsa, picked up the food, and was on my way. When I got home, the food was still hot (always a plus!) I ordered a daily special; the fish taco plate with beans, rice and drink for only $6.99!! Heck of a deal for so much food!!
