What a hidden gem this place is. The ambience is average for an Indian joint and while it's no hole-in-the-wall kinda place, it's not swanky like Khaati Peeti just across the parking lot either. Service was polite and courteous. The server checked in with us a couple of times which is always a plus for me. But food is where this place really stood out for me. We ordered a couple different things and they almost all got a high rating from me: Daal Makhani (4/5) came with Lachha Paratha. Perfect blend of creaminess and not overly spicy. Lachha paratha was huge and nicely flaky, though perhaps it could have been a wee bit thinner. Amritsari Chhole (4/5) - came with a stuffed Kulchha. The kulchha in itself was delish! My only feedback, a little less dhaniya seeds please. The chhole was also authentic tasting, thought the punjabis would disagree with me on the spice levels. Masala Papad (4/5) - who puts peanuts on masala papad was our first thought. When we had a bite, my wife and I both said, why the hell not!! Nicely crisp with peanuts onions and tomatoes. I would have like a few more tomatoes, but still great as is too. Masala neembu paani (2.5/5) a bit sweet and have had better elsewhere.

I was out with family visiting from out of town... and they wanted Indian food and so we came to Delhi 6 due to high reviews. We ordered an appetizer of full chicken which we asked for it to come with everything else: side of rice; chicken platter; and one order of tikka masala with a side of garlic & mint naan. It was enough for all of us! (4). Service was a little slow. Waitress serving us was not that enthusiastic; however food was authentic and delicious. I would have given 5-stars; however we were not greeted very warmly.

They were giving out samples of their Chicken Tikka Masala with beautiful smiles during Pizza My Heart's grand opening, and I'm so glad they did because I finally found an Indian place I really like. It was sooo good. Super flavorful without being overwhelmingly seasoned or too heavy. The restaurant was also very clean and organized, and I can already tell they're gonna have great service the day I decide to dine in. Definitely my new spot whenever I'm in Fremont craving Indian food

TAKEOUT REVIEW: We always order Indian food from our same favorite places, but today we decided to try the new Delhi 6 Indian restaurant at the Fremont Hub. We were pleasantly surprised by their flavors and extensive menu. We now have a new restaurant to add to our favorites. Their appetizer menu not only includes basics like samosas, but also tandooris, chaats, and even Masala french fries. They have a vegetarian menu and a non-veg menu, both with excellent curries. Although I didn't try any yet, I'm excited to see fish curries on their menu too. They also have a large selection of rice biryani dishes and different naan options. For our first visit, we went with plain rice and plain naan, which were excellent too. What we got: + Lamb vindaloo - large chunks of lamb and potatoes in a rich curry. + Shahi Navratan Korma - cauliflower, peas, and cubes of cheese in a creamy, tomato-y gravy. The menu mentioned raisins, but I didn't notice any. Dish was delicious and my favorite so far. + Chicken Malabari - large chunks for tender chicken in a coconut cream gravy. Another favorite. + Butter Chicken - agree with everyone that it's the best butter chicken I've had + Plain rice - basmati rice was nice and fluffy + Plain naan - this was fluffy with a nice chew. Each order is 1 naan approximately 9-10 inch diameter. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other dishes.

The curry is always so yummy, this is a comfort meal for me. The pani puri / gol gappa was very refreshing. The food comes out quickly when you dine in.

My family and I came for lunch, we highly enjoyed service and food We ordered Amritsari Kulcha with channa (comparable to Amritsar's Kulche) Aloo puri, veg hakka noodles, kadhai chicken. Everything was 10/10! Our server was also very kind & gave her recommendations. They also gave us complimentary chai & kheer to try My dads new fav Indian restaurant

Nice family owned restaurant. Clean and the food was great. They made sure we had everything we needed. Their butter chicken was perfect. I wish I lived closer to this place.

Newer place 4.5. My new go to favorite place for Indian food in Fremont. I tried the butter chicken, tandoori chicken, garlic naan and basmati rice. All dishes were executed well and super reasonable prices. Went well with the green chutney and tamarind sauce. The dining space is cafe esque and nicely done. I'm looking forward to trying so many more dishes starting with the lamb vindaloo.

    Decor

New restaurant at the spot where The Nawab's Kitchen was earlier. The interiors are nice, reflecting the growing trend of casual Indian eateries in the Bay Area with modern, minimalistic decor. Our samosa platter was well made, even if the masala could have been better. The lamb seekh kabab was well cooked, light and tasty. The Masala Chai was decent, not great. Service was friendly and the food was served quick. Recommended!

Oh gosh, this dinner was absolutely delicious. We had some amazing food with great portions at a very very good price point. The Amritsari kulcha was perfect & hot with a blob of butter just like how I remember having it in Amritsar. The malai Chaap was one of the best I've had in the bay & their naans were yummy too. Perfectly seasoned & cooked! The shahi paneer was a bit tooo sweet for me but rest of my family did enjoy it so that's a personal preference. I must admit the smell of a particular aloo dish from the nearby table was irresistible & I really wanna come back to try it ;) I noticed they also had some $5 menu items (changes everyday I think) so that's another excuse to come back for sure. The place is neatly done with bright interiors & was very clean with everyone checking on us warmly.

They also have an outdoor patio where we saw a group dining with one of their furry friends. For the entrees, we got a potlam goat biryani - a delicious biryani wrapped in a banana leaf served table side. We also got the Fish Pollichathu, a fish grilled with a tomato based topping that was wrapped in a banana leaf and served with a tapioca mash and rice. All the dishes were delicious. The portions are generous and we ended up with leftovers to take back home. We also received a complimentary gulab jamun creme brulee since I was part of their mailing list and a pistachio tiramisu to celebrate our special occasion. A truly wonderful experience that made our evening special. We will look forward to returning to sample more of their offerings.

Casual fine dining. Decent seating, good for groups. Decent prices. ***FOOD: we tried a whole bunch of items- *crispy baby corn-3.5/5- very crispy with a sweet and tangy coating indicating liberal vinegar usage. *malai soy chaap: 3.5/5: excessive usage of malai(aka fat). Indulgent and decent enough for a small serving. *vellulli kaaram paneer-3/5- lacked salt. Paneer was softish but felt a bit chewy and hard in places. *black pepper mushroom curry- 4/5- this was my favorite dish that evening. The fragrant curry leaves, earthiness of the mushroom and the black pepper created an intoxicating combination. It was floating in excess oil but was lip smacking delicious. *chilli garlic Naan: 4.5/5: I normally don't rate naan as they are non descript but the version here was wonderful. Thin, not burnt on the downside and paired oh so well with the mushroom curry. *Egg biryani- 3.5/5- this was spicy rather than being flavorful. Since it was made with egg, I didn't mind the spice.

Lasuni Soya Chaap was flavorful, with generous amounts of garlic Chilli Garlic Naan was so good, that it didn't need another curry on the side. It was a novel idea and was a hit! Mushroom Pepper Fry was spicy but with pepper, the best way to spice things up! Enjoyed it. We also ordered Egg Biryani. It was so disappointing - very bland, both the rice and egg. It was sweet, flavorless, dry and lacking spice - four out of four people didn't like it. I definitely won't be trying it again. Be warned about their 'Family Pack'. It's advertised as a family size but serves about two people, not definitely four, which is quite pricey for a 32oz bucket at $40. While the Haleem's quality justified the price as a seasonal item, the 'Family Pack' concept for biryani is poor value. I'd recommend the Haleem and Mutton Biryani, but steer clear of the Chicken Biryani and don't expect the "Family Pack" to feed more than two, 3 at best.
